¹⁸ For our shield belongeth unto Jehovah; And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹ Then thou spakest in vision to thy saints, And saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

²⁰ I have found David my servant; With my holy oil have I anointed him:

²¹ With whom my hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.

²² The enemy shall not exact from him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

²³ And I will beat down his adversaries before him, And smite them that hate him.

²⁴ But my faithfulness and my lovingkindness shall be with him; And in my name shall his horn be exalted.

²⁵ I will set his hand also on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.

²⁶ He shall cry unto me, Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.

²⁷ I also will make him my first-born, The highest of the kings of the earth.

²⁸ My lovingkindness will I keep for him for evermore; And my covenant shall stand fast with him.

²⁹ His seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁰ If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

¹⁸ For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

¹⁸ Yahweh, you gave us the one who protects us MET; you, the holy God whom we Israelis worship, chose a king for us.

¹⁹ Long ago you spoke in a vision to one of your servants/prophets, saying, “I have helped a famous soldier; I chose him from among all the people to be a king.

²⁰ That man is David, the one who will serve me faithfully, and I anointed him with sacred olive oil to make him king.

²¹ I MTY will always strengthen him; with my power MTY I will make him strong.

²² His enemies will never find ways to defeat him, and wicked people will never defeat him.

²³ I will crush his enemies in front of him and get rid of those who hate him.

²⁴ I will always be loyal to him and faithfully love him and enable him to defeat MET his enemies.

²⁵ I will cause ◄his kingdom/the area that he rules► to include all the land from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River.

²⁶ He will say to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the one who protects MET and saves me.’

²⁷ I will give him the rights/privileges that a man's firstborn son has MET; he will be the greatest king on the earth.

²⁸ I will always be loyal to him, and my agreement to bless him will last forever.

²⁹ I will establish a line of his descendants that will never end, various ones of his descendants will always be kings.

³⁰ But, if some of his descendants disobey my laws, and do not not behave like my commands say that they should,

¹⁸ For our shield belongs to Yahweh, our king to the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹ Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, “I have given strength to the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.

²⁰ I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,

²¹ with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.

²² No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him.

²³ I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him.

²⁴ But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.

¹⁹ Then your voice came to your holy one in a vision, saying, I have put the crown on a strong one, lifting up one taken from among the people.

²⁰ I have made discovery of David my servant; I have put my holy oil on his head.

²¹ My hand will be his support; my arm will give him strength.

²² The deceit of those who are against him will not overcome him; he will not be troubled by the sons of evil.

²³ I will have those who are against him broken before his face, and his haters will be crushed under my blows.

²⁴ But my faith and my mercy will be with him; and in my name will his horn be lifted up.

²⁵ I will put his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

²⁶ He will say to me, You are my father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.

²⁷ And I will make him the first of my sons, most high over the kings of the earth.

²⁸ I will keep my mercy for him for ever; my agreement with him will not be changed.

²⁹ His seed will keep their place for ever; his kingdom will be eternal, like the heavens.

³⁰ If his children give up my law, and are not ruled by my decisions;

¹⁸ For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.

¹⁹ Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

²⁰ I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

³⁰ If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;

¹⁸ Yes, the Lord is the one who shields us, and our king belongs to the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹ Once you spoke in a vision to your faithful servant and said, “I have given strength to the warrior I have chosen from the people to become king.

²⁰ I have selected David my servant, and I have anointed him with the oil of my holiness.

²¹ I have placed my hand on him to steady him; and I have made him strong by my powerful arm.

²² His enemies will not deceive him; the wicked will not bring him down.

²³ I will wipe out his enemies before him; I will strike down those who hate him.

²⁴ My trustworthiness and unfailing love will be with him, and through me he will be victorious.

²⁵ I will extend his rule from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River.

²⁶ He will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.’

²⁷ I will also make him my first-born son, the highest of the kings of the earth.

²⁸ I will love him faithfully forever; my agreement with him shall never come to an end.

²⁹ I will make sure his royal line lasts forever; his dynasty will continue as long as the heavens endure.

³⁰ But if his descendants abandon my laws, if they do not follow my rules,

¹⁸ For our shield apperteineth to the Lord, and our King to the holy one of Israel.

¹⁹ Thou spakest then in a vision vnto thine Holy one, and saydest, I haue layde helpe vpon one that is mightie: I haue exalted one chosen out of the people.

²⁰ I haue found Dauid my seruant: with mine holy oyle haue I anoynted him.

²¹ Therefore mine hande shall be established with him, and mine arme shall strengthen him.

²² The enemie shall not oppresse him, neither shall the wicked hurt him.

²³ But I will destroy his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

²⁴ My trueth also and my mercie shall be with him, and in my Name shall his horne be exalted.

²⁵ I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the floods.

²⁶ He shall cry vnto mee, Thou art my Father, my God and the rocke of my saluation.

²⁷ Also I wil make him my first borne, higher then the Kings of the earth.

²⁸ My mercie will I keepe for him for euermore, and my couenant shall stande fast with him.

²⁹ His seede also will I make to endure for euer, and his throne as the dayes of heauen.

³⁰ But if his children forsake my Lawe, and walke not in my iudgements:

¹⁸ (89-19) For of the LORD is our shield; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

²² (89:23) The enemy shall not exact from him like a lender: and the son of injustice shall not afflict him:

²³ (89:24) And I will beat down before his face his assailants, and those that hate him will I plague.

²⁴ (89:25) But my faithfulness and my kindness shall be with him: and through my name shall his horn be exalted.

²⁵ (89:26) And I will place on the sea his hand, and on the rivers his right hand.

²⁶ (89:27) He will call unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

²⁷ (89:28) Also I will appoint my first-born, the highest among the kings of the earth.

²⁸ (89:29) For evermore will I keep for him my kindness, and my covenant shall stand faithfully with him.

³⁰ Should his children forsake my law, And walk not in my statutes,

¹⁸ For the holy Lord of Israel keeps our defender and king.

¹⁹ In a vision of old you did speak in this way to the one whom you loved: “A crown I have set on the hero I chose to be over the people

²⁰ “I found my servant David, and anointed with holy oil.

²¹ My hand will be with him forever, my arm will give him strength.

²² “No enemy will dare to assail him, nor the wicked to oppress him;

²³ but his foes I will shatter before him, I will strike down those who hate him.

²⁴ “My loyal love shall attend him, and I will lift him to honour.

²⁵ I will set his hand on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.

²⁶ “As for him, he will call me ‘My father, my God, and my rock of salvation.’

²⁷ And I will make him my first-born, highest of kings on the earth.

²⁸ “My love will I keep for him ever, my covenant with him shall stand fast.

²⁹ His line will I make everlasting, and his throne as the days of the heavens.

³⁰ “If his children forsake my law, and walk not as I have ordained;

¹⁸ For the holy Lord of Israel keeps our defender and king.

²⁰ I have found David Beloved, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,

²¹ with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.

²² No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him.

²⁴ But my faithfulness and my cheshed ·loving-kindness· will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.

²⁵ I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.

²⁶ He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my yishu'ah ·salvation·!’

²⁷ I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

²⁸ I will keep my cheshed ·loving-kindness· for him forever more. My covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· will stand firm with him.

²⁹ I will also make his offspring endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁰ If his children forsake my Torah ·Teaching·, and don’t walk in my judgments;

¹⁸ For our shield belongs to Yahweh; our king belongs to the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹ Long ago you spoke in a vision to your faithful ones; you said, “I have set a crown on a mighty one.” I have raised up one chosen from among the people.

²⁰ I have chosen David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him.

²¹ My hand will support him; my arm will strengthen him.

²² No enemy will deceive him; no son of wickedness will oppress him.

²⁶ He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’

²⁷ I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

²⁸ I will keep my loving kindness for him forever more. My covenant will stand firm with him.

²⁹ I will also make his offspring endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁰ If his children forsake my Torah, and don’t walk in my ordinances;

¹⁸ For our shield belongs to the LORD, our king to the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹ Then you spoke in vision to your holy ones, and said, “I have given strength to the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.

²⁰ I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,

²¹ with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.

²² No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him.

²³ I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him.

²⁴ But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.

²⁵ I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.

¹⁸ For our taking up is of the Lord; and of the Holy of Israel our king.

¹⁹ Then thou spakest in revelation to thy saints, and saidest, I have set or put help in the mighty; and I have enhanced the chosen man of my people.

²⁰ I found David, my servant; I anointed him with mine holy oil.

²¹ For mine hand shall help him; and mine arm shall confirm him.

²² The enemy shall nothing profit in him; and the son of wickedness shall not lay to or put to, for to annoy him.

²³ And I shall slay his enemies from his face; and I shall turn into flight them that hate him.

²⁴ And my truth and mercy shall be with him; and his horn shall be enhanced in my name.

²⁵ And I shall set or put his hand in the sea; and his right hand in floods.

²⁶ He shall inwardly call me, Thou art my father; my God, and the up-taker of mine health.

²⁷ And I shall set him the first be-gotten son; higher than the kings of earth.

²⁸ Without end I shall keep my mercy to him; and my testament faithful to him.

²⁹ And I shall set his seed into the world of world; and his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁰ Forsooth if his sons forsake my law; and go not in my dooms.

¹⁸ For our taking up is of the Lord; and of the holy of Israel our king. (For the Lord is our defender; yea, the Holy One of Israel is our King.)

¹⁹ Then thou spakest in revelation to thy saints, and saidest, I have set help in the mighty (man); and I have enhanced the chosen man of my people. (Then thou spokest in revelation to thy saints, and saidest, I have given help to the mighty man; yea, I have exalted, or lifted up, the chosen man of my people.)

²⁰ I found David, my servant; I anointed him with mine holy oil. (I found my servant David; and I anointed him with my holy oil.)

²¹ For mine hand shall help him; and mine arm shall confirm him. (For my hand shall help him; and my arm, or my power, shall strengthen him.)

²² The enemy shall nothing profit in him (or The enemy shall not gain any advantage over him); and the son of wickedness shall not lay to or shall not put to, for to harm him.

²³ And I shall slay his enemies from his face; and I shall turn into flight them that hate him. (And I shall kill all his enemies before his face; and I shall turn to flight, or make to flee, those who hate him.)

²⁴ And my truth and mercy shall be with him; and his horn shall be enhanced in my name. (And my faithfulness and love shall be with him; and in my name his horn shall be exalted or his head shall be lifted up on high.)

²⁵ And I shall set his hand in the sea; and his right hand in floods. (And I shall extend his power unto the Mediterranean Sea; and his right hand unto the Euphrates River.)

²⁶ He shall inwardly call me, (saying), Thou art my father; my God, and the up-taker of mine health. (And he shall say to me, Thou art my father; yea, my God, and my defender, my saviour.)

²⁷ And I shall set him the first begotten son; higher than the kings of earth. (And I shall make him my first-born son; higher than all the kings of the earth.)

²⁸ Into Without end I shall keep my mercy to him; and my testament faithful to him. (I shall hold onto my love for him forever; and faithfully keep my covenant with him.)

²⁹ And I shall set his seed into the world of world; and his throne as the days of heaven. (And I shall establish his descendants forever and ever; and his throne for as long as the days of the heavens, that is, for as long as the heavenly bodies endure.)

³⁰ Forsooth if his sons forsake my law; and go not in my dooms. (But if his sons abandon my Law; and do not go in my judgements.)

¹⁸ For of Jehovah is our shield, And of the Holy One of Israel our king.

¹⁹ Then Thou hast spoken in vision, To Thy saint, yea, Thou sayest, I have placed help upon a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,

²⁰ I have found David My servant, With My holy oil I have anointed him.

²¹ With whom My hand is established, My arm also doth strengthen him.

²² An enemy exacteth not upon him, And a son of perverseness afflicteth him not.

²³ And I have beaten down before him his adversaries, And those hating him I plague,

²⁴ And My faithfulness and kindness are with him, And in My name is his horn exalted.

²⁵ And I have set on the sea his hand, And on the rivers his right hand.

²⁶ He proclaimeth me: 'Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.'

²⁷ I also first-born do appoint him, Highest of the kings of the earth.

²⁸ To the age I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant is stedfast with him.

²⁹ And I have set his seed for ever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.

³⁰ If his sons forsake My law, And in My judgments do not walk;
