³ For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draweth nigh unto Sheol.

⁴ I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no help,

⁵ Cast off among the dead, Like the slain that lie in the grave, Whom thou rememberest no more, And they are cut off from thy hand.

⁶ Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the deeps.

⁷ Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, And thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah

³ For thou hast said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy truth shall be established in the heavens.

⁴ I made a covenant with my chosen ones, I sware unto David my servant.

⁵ I will establish thy seed for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Pause.

⁶ The heavens shall declare thy wonders, O Lord; and thy truth in the assembly of the saints.

⁷ For who in the heavens shall be compared to the Lord? and who shall be likened to the Lord among the sons of God?

³ I have experienced many troubles/difficulties, and I am about to die MTY and go where dead people are.

⁴ Because I have no more strength, other people also consider that I will soon die.

⁵ I am like a corpse that has been abandoned; I am like dead people who lie in their graves, people who have been completely forgotten, because you do not take care of them anymore.

⁶ It is as though you have thrown me into a deep, dark pit, into a place where they throw corpses.

⁷ It seems like you are very angry with me, and it is as though you have crushed me like ocean waves crash down on people MET.

⁵ My soul is among the dead, like those in the underworld, to whom you give no more thought; for they are cut off from your care.

⁶ You have put me in the lowest deep, even in dark places.

⁷ The weight of your wrath is crushing me, all your waves have overcome me. (Selah.)

³ My life is full of troubles, and my death is approaching.

⁴ I'm counted among the dying; a man with no strength.

⁵ I am abandoned among the dead, lying like a corpse in the grave, forgotten and beyond your care.

⁶ You have placed me in a deep pit, in the depths of darkness.

⁷ Your hostility crushes me; you are drowning me under your crashing waves. Selah.

³ For my soule is filled with euils, and my life draweth neere to the graue.

⁴ I am counted among them that go downe vnto the pit, and am as a man without strength:

⁵ Free among the dead, like the slaine lying in the graue, whome thou remembrest no more, and they are cut off from thine hand.

⁶ Thou hast layde me in the lowest pit, in darkenes, and in the deepe.

⁷ Thine indignation lyeth vpon me, and thou hast vexed me with all thy waues. Selah.

⁵ (88-6) Set apart among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom Thou rememberest no more; and they are cut off from Thy hand.

⁵ I am left to myself among the dead, Like the slain who lie in the grave, Whom thou no more rememberest, And who are cut off from thy protecting hand.

⁶ Thou hast placed me in a deep pit, In a dark and deep abyss.

⁷ Thy wrath presseth hard upon me, And thou afflictest me with all thy waves! Pause.

³ For I am sated with sorrow, my life draws near to Sheol.

⁴ I am counted with those who go down to the pit; without strength am I.

⁵ My home is amongst the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom you remember no more cut off as they are from your hand.

⁶ In the deepest pit you have put me, in shadows deep and dark.

⁷ Your wrath lies heavy upon me, waves of your anger roll over me. Selah

³ For I am sated with sorrow, my life draws near to Sheol.

⁴ I am counted with those who go down to the pit; without strength am I.

⁵ My home is among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom you remember no more cut off as they are from your hand.

⁶ In the deepest pit you have put me, in shadows deep and dark.

⁶ You have laid me in the lowest pit (of Abbadon, the unrighteous side of Sheol), in the darkest depths.

⁴ People treat me like those who go down into the pit; I am a man with no strength.

⁵ I am abandoned among the dead; I am like the dead who lie in the grave, about whom you care no more because they are cut off from your power.

⁶ You place me in the lowest part of the pit, in the dark and deep places.

⁷ Your wrath lies heavy on me, and all your waves crash over me. Selah

⁵ and free among dead men. As men wounded sleeping in sepulchres, of which men none thou is mindful of after; and they be put away from thine hand.

⁶ They have put me in the lower pit; in dark places, and in the shadow of death.

⁷ Thy strong vengeance is confirmed on me; and thou hast brought in all thy waves on me.

³ For my soul is full-filled with evils; and my life nighed to hell. (For my soul is filled full of evils; and my life came near to Sheol, that is, the land of the dead, or and my life nighed to the grave.)

⁴ I am guessed with them that go down into the pit; I am made as a man without help,

⁵ and free among dead men. As men wounded sleeping in sepulchres, of which men none (thou) is mindful (of) after; and they be put away from thine hand. (and free among the dead. Like the slain who sleep in tombs, or graves, of whom there is no one thou remembereth any more; yea, they all be cut off from thy help, or thy care.)

⁶ They have put me in the lower pit; in dark places, and in the shadow of death.

⁷ Thy strong vengeance is confirmed on me (or Thy fury hath raged against me); and thou hast brought in all thy waves on me.

³ For my soul hath been full of evils, And my life hath come to Sheol.

⁵ Among the dead — free, As pierced ones lying in the grave, Whom Thou hast not remembered any more, Yea, they by Thy hand have been cut off.

⁷ Upon me hath Thy fury lain, And with all Thy breakers Thou hast afflicted. Selah.
