¹⁵ But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.

¹⁶ Oh turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; Give thy strength unto thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid.

¹⁷ Show me a token for good, That they who hate me may see it, and be put to shame, Because thou, Jehovah, hast helped me, and comforted me.

¹⁵ But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

¹⁶ O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

¹⁷ Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

¹⁵ But Lord, you always are mercifully and kind; you do not become angry quickly, you faithfully love us very much and always do for us what you have promised to do.

¹⁶ Look down toward me and be merciful to me; cause me to be strong and save/rescue me who serves you faithfully like my mother did.

¹⁷ Yahweh, do something to show me that you are being good to me in order that those who hate me will see that you have encouraged me and helped me, and as a result they will be ashamed.

¹⁶ Turne vnto me, and haue mercy vpon me: giue thy strength vnto thy seruant, and saue the sonne of thine handmayd.

¹⁷ Shew a token of thy goodnes towarde me, that they which hate me, may see it, and be ashamed, because thou, O Lord, hast holpen me and comforted me.

¹⁵ And thou, Lord God, doing mercy, and merciful; patient, and of much mercy, and soothfast. (But thou, Lord, art a God who giveth love, and art merciful; yea, thou art patient, and hath great love, and art faithful.)

¹⁶ Behold on me, and have mercy on me, give thou the empire to thy servant; and make thou safe the son of thine handmaid. (Turn to me, and have mercy on me; give thou thy strength to thy servant, and save thou the son of thy servantess.)

¹⁷ Make thou with me a sign in(to) good, that they see, that hate me, and be ashamed, (or Show thou me a sign of thy goodness, so that those who hate me can see it, and be ashamed); (yea), for thou, Lord, hast helped me or hast holpen me, and hast comforted me.

¹⁵ And Thou, O Lord, art God, merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth.

¹⁶ Look unto me, and favour me, Give Thy strength to Thy servant, And give salvation to a son of Thine handmaid.

¹⁷ Do with me a sign for good, And those hating me see and are ashamed, For Thou, O Jehovah, hast helped me, Yea, Thou hast comforted me!
