¹ For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Jehovah, thou hast been favorable unto thy land; Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

² Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah

³ Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

⁴ Turn us, O God of our salvation, And cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

⁵ Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

⁶ Wilt thou not quicken us again, That thy people may rejoice in thee?

¹ A Prayer of David. O Lord, incline thine ear, and hearken to me; for I am poor and needy.

² Preserve my soul, for I am holy; save thy servant, O God, who hopes in thee.

³ Pity me, O Lord: for to thee will I cry all the day.

⁴ Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for to thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.

⁵ For thou, O Lord, art kind, and gentle; and plenteous in mercy to all that call upon thee.

⁶ Give ear to my prayer, O Lord; and attend to the voice of my supplication.

¹ Yahweh, you have been kind to us people who live in this land; you have enabled us Israeli people to become prosperous again.

² You forgave us, your people, for the sins that we had committed; you pardoned us for all our sins DOU.

³ You stopped being angry with us and turned away from severely punishing us.

⁴ Now, God, the one who saves/rescues us, ◄restore us/make us prosperous again► and stop being angry with us!

⁵ ◄Will you continue to be angry with us forever?/Please do not continue to be angry with us forever.► DOU, RHQ

⁶ Please enable us RHQ to prosper again in order that we, your people, will rejoice about what you have done for us.

³ You were no longer angry: you were turned from the heat of your wrath.

⁴ Come back to us, O God of our salvation, and be angry with us no longer.

⁵ Will you go on being angry with us for ever? will you keep your wrath against us through all the long generations?

⁶ Will you not give us life again, so that your people may be glad in you?

³ Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I have cried to thee all the day.

⁴ Give joy to the soul of thy servant, for to thee, O Lord, I have lifted up my soul.

⁵ For thou, O Lord, art sweet and mild: and plenteous in mercy to all that call upon thee.

⁶ Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer: and attend to the voice of my petition.

¹ For the music director. A psalm of the descendants of Korah Lord, you have shown your kindness to your land; you have restored Jacob's prosperity.

² You took away your people's guilt; you forgave all their sins. Selah.

³ You took back your fury; you turned away from your fierce anger.

⁴ Bring us back to you, God of our salvation! Take away your anger towards us.

⁵ Are you going to be furious with us forever? Will you stay angry with us for all future generations?

⁶ Won't you restore our lives so your people can find happiness in you?

¹ To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Lord, thou hast bene fauourable vnto thy land: thou hast brought againe the captiuitie of Iaakob.

² Thou hast forgiuen the iniquitie of thy people, and couered all their sinnes. Selah.

³ Thou hast withdrawen all thine anger, and hast turned backe from the fiercenes of thy wrath.

⁴ Turne vs, O God of our saluation, and release thine anger toward vs.

⁵ Wilt thou be angry with vs for euer? and wilt thou prolong thy wrath from one generation to another?

⁶ Wilt thou not turne againe and quicken vs, that thy people may reioyce in thee?

² (85:3) Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered over all their sin. Selah.

³ (85:4) Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast relinquished the fierceness of thy anger.

⁴ (85:5) Return to us, O God of our salvation, and cause thy ill-will toward us to cease.

⁵ (85:6) Wilt thou be wroth with us for ever? wilt thou extend thy anger from generation to generation?

⁶ (85:7) Wilt thou not now revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

³ Thou hast assuaged all thine ire; thou hast turned away from the ire of thine indignation.

⁴ God, our health, convert thou us; and turn away thine ire from us.

⁵ Whether thou shalt be wroth to us without end; either shalt thou hold forth thine ire from generation into generation?

⁶ God, thou converted, shalt quicken us; and thy people shall be glad in thee.

¹ To the overcomer, the song of the sons of Korah. Lord, thou hast blessed thy land; thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob. (For the choirmaster, a song by the Korahites. Lord, thou hast blessed thy land; thou hast brought back the captives of Jacob or thou hast returned prosperity to Jacob.)

² Thou hast forgiven the wickedness of thy people; thou hast covered all the sins of them.

³ Thou hast assuaged all thine ire; thou hast turned (thyself) away from the ire of thine indignation.

⁴ God, our health, convert thou us; and turn away thine ire from us. (God, our salvation, bring thou us back, or God, our deliverance, turn back to us; and turn away thy anger from us.)

⁵ Whether thou shalt be wroth to us into without end; either shalt thou hold forth thine ire from generation into generation? (Shalt thou be angry with us forever? shalt thou bring forth thy anger to all generations?)

⁶ God, thou converted, shalt quicken us; and thy people shall be glad in thee. (God, give thou us new life; and thy people shall be glad, or shall rejoice, in thee.)

² Thou hast borne away the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

³ Thou hast gathered up all Thy wrath, Thou hast turned back from the fierceness of Thine anger.

⁴ Turn back to us, O God of our salvation, And make void Thine anger with us.

⁵ To the age art Thou angry against us? Dost Thou draw out Thine anger To generation and generation?

⁶ Dost Thou not turn back? Thou revivest us, And Thy people do rejoice in Thee.
