¹ For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Jehovah, thou hast been favorable unto thy land; Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

² Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah

³ Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

⁴ Turn us, O God of our salvation, And cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

⁵ Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

⁶ Wilt thou not quicken us again, That thy people may rejoice in thee?

⁷ Show us thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, And grant us thy salvation.

⁸ I will hear what God Jehovah will speak; For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: But let them not turn again to folly.

⁹ Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.

¹⁰ Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹¹ Truth springeth out of the earth; And righteousness hath looked down from heaven.

² Preserve my soul, for I am holy; save thy servant, O God, who hopes in thee.

³ Pity me, O Lord: for to thee will I cry all the day.

⁴ Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for to thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.

⁵ For thou, O Lord, art kind, and gentle; and plenteous in mercy to all that call upon thee.

⁶ Give ear to my prayer, O Lord; and attend to the voice of my supplication.

⁷ In the day of my trouble I cried to thee: for thou didst hear me.

⁸ There is none like to thee, O Lord, among the gods; and there are no works like to thy works.

⁹ All nations whom thou hast made shall come, and shall worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

¹⁰ For thou art great, and doest wonders: thou art the only and the great God.

¹¹ Guide me, O Lord, in thy way, and I will walk in thy truth: let my heart rejoice, that I may fear thy name.

¹ Yahweh, you have been kind to us people who live in this land; you have enabled us Israeli people to become prosperous again.

² You forgave us, your people, for the sins that we had committed; you pardoned us for all our sins DOU.

³ You stopped being angry with us and turned away from severely punishing us.

⁴ Now, God, the one who saves/rescues us, ◄restore us/make us prosperous again► and stop being angry with us!

⁵ ◄Will you continue to be angry with us forever?/Please do not continue to be angry with us forever.► DOU, RHQ

⁶ Please enable us RHQ to prosper again in order that we, your people, will rejoice about what you have done for us.

⁷ Yahweh, by rescuing us from our troubles/difficulties, show us that you faithfully love us.

⁸ I want to listen to what Yahweh our God says, because he promises/says that he will enable us, his people, to live peacefully, if we do not return to doing foolish things.

⁹ He is surely ready to save/rescue those who revere him, in order that his glory/splendor will be seen in our land.

¹⁰ When that happens, he will both faithfully love us and faithfully do for us what he promised to do PRS; and we will act/behave righteously, and he will give us peace, which will be like a kiss that he gives us.

¹¹ Here on earth, we will ◄be loyal to/continually believe in► God, and from heaven, God will act justly/fairly toward us.

³ You were no longer angry: you were turned from the heat of your wrath.

⁴ Come back to us, O God of our salvation, and be angry with us no longer.

⁵ Will you go on being angry with us for ever? will you keep your wrath against us through all the long generations?

⁶ Will you not give us life again, so that your people may be glad in you?

⁷ Let us see your mercy, O Lord, and give us your salvation.

⁸ I will give ear to the voice of the Lord; for he will say words of peace to his people and to his saints; but let them not go back to their foolish ways.

⁹ Truly, his salvation is near to his worshippers; so that glory may be in our land.

¹⁰ Mercy and faith have come together; righteousness and peace have given one another a kiss.

¹¹ Faith comes up from the earth like a plant; righteousness is looking down from heaven.

⁵ Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger from generation to generation?

⁶ Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

⁷ Shew us thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.

⁸ I will hear what God, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.

⁹ Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

¹⁰ Loving-kindness and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other:

¹¹ Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.

¹ A prayer for David himself. Incline thy ear, O Lord, and hear me: for I am needy and poor.

² Preserve my soul, for I am holy: save thy servant, O my God, that trusteth in thee.

³ Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I have cried to thee all the day.

⁴ Give joy to the soul of thy servant, for to thee, O Lord, I have lifted up my soul.

⁵ For thou, O Lord, art sweet and mild: and plenteous in mercy to all that call upon thee.

⁶ Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer: and attend to the voice of my petition.

⁷ I have called upon thee in the day of my trouble: because thou hast heard me.

⁸ There is none among the gods like unto thee, O Lord: and there is none according to thy works.

⁹ All the nations thou hast made shall come and adore before thee, O Lord: and they shall glorify thy name.

¹⁰ For thou art great and dost wonderful things: thou art God alone.

¹¹ Conduct me, O Lord, in thy way, and I will walk in thy truth: let my heart rejoice that it may fear thy name.

¹ For the music director. A psalm of the descendants of Korah Lord, you have shown your kindness to your land; you have restored Jacob's prosperity.

² You took away your people's guilt; you forgave all their sins. Selah.

³ You took back your fury; you turned away from your fierce anger.

⁴ Bring us back to you, God of our salvation! Take away your anger towards us.

⁵ Are you going to be furious with us forever? Will you stay angry with us for all future generations?

⁶ Won't you restore our lives so your people can find happiness in you?

⁷ Show us your trustworthy love, Lord! Give us your salvation!

⁸ Let me hear what God has to say. God speaks peace to his people, to those who trust in him. But they must not return to their foolish ways.

⁹ Truly God's salvation is with those who do as he says. His glorious presence will live with us in our land.

¹⁰ Trustworthiness and faithful love join together; goodness and peace have kissed each other.

¹¹ What is true grows up from the earth; what is right looks down from heaven.

¹ To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Lord, thou hast bene fauourable vnto thy land: thou hast brought againe the captiuitie of Iaakob.

² Thou hast forgiuen the iniquitie of thy people, and couered all their sinnes. Selah.

³ Thou hast withdrawen all thine anger, and hast turned backe from the fiercenes of thy wrath.

⁴ Turne vs, O God of our saluation, and release thine anger toward vs.

⁵ Wilt thou be angry with vs for euer? and wilt thou prolong thy wrath from one generation to another?

⁶ Wilt thou not turne againe and quicken vs, that thy people may reioyce in thee?

⁷ Shew vs thy mercie, O Lord, and graunt vs thy saluation.

⁸ I will hearken what the Lord God will say: for he will speake peace vnto his people, and to his Saintes, that they turne not againe to follie.

⁹ Surely his saluation is neere to them that feare him, that glory may dwell in our land.

¹⁰ Mercie and trueth shall meete: righteousnes and peace shall kisse one another.

⁶ (85:7) Wilt thou not now revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

⁶ Wilt thou not revive us again, That thy people may rejoice in thee?

⁷ Show us thy compassion, O LORD! And grant us thy salvation!

⁸ I will hear what God the LORD will speak: Truly he will speak peace to his people, and to his servants; Only let them not turn again to folly!

⁹ Yea, his salvation is near to those who fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.

¹⁰ Mercy and truth shall meet together, Righteousness and peace shall kiss each other;

⁵ Will you be angry with us forever? Will you remain angry throughout future generations?

⁶ Will you not revive us again? Then your people will rejoice in you.

⁷ Show us your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, grant us your salvation.

⁸ I will listen to what Yahweh God says, for he will make peace with his people, his faithful followers. Yet they must not turn again to foolish ways.

⁹ Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him; then glory will remain in our land.

¹⁰ Covenant faithfulness and trustworthiness have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹¹ Trustworthiness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky.

⁵ Whether thou shalt be wroth to us into without end; either shalt thou hold forth thine ire from generation into generation? (Shalt thou be angry with us forever? shalt thou bring forth thy anger to all generations?)

⁶ God, thou converted, shalt quicken us; and thy people shall be glad in thee. (God, give thou us new life; and thy people shall be glad, or shall rejoice, in thee.)

⁷ Lord, show thy mercy to us; and give thine health to us. (Lord, show thy love to us; and give thy help to us or and grant us thy salvation, or thy deliverance.)

⁸ I shall hear what the Lord God shall speak in me; for he shall speak peace to his people. And on his holy men; and on them that be turned to heart. (I shall listen to what the Lord God shall say; for he shall speak words of peace to his people. Yea, to us, and to his holy men; and to all who turn towards him with their hearts.)

⁹ Nevertheless his health is nigh (to) men dreading him; that glory dwell in our land. (For his salvation, or his deliverance, is near to those who fear him or is near to those who revere him; so that glory can be in our land.)

¹⁰ Mercy and truth met themselves; rightfulness and peace were kissed. (Love and faithfulness came together; righteousness and peace kissed each other.)

¹¹ Truth came forth (out) of the earth; and rightfulness beheld from heaven. (Faithfulness sprang forth from the earth; and righteousness looked down from heaven.)

² Thou hast borne away the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

³ Thou hast gathered up all Thy wrath, Thou hast turned back from the fierceness of Thine anger.

⁴ Turn back to us, O God of our salvation, And make void Thine anger with us.

⁵ To the age art Thou angry against us? Dost Thou draw out Thine anger To generation and generation?

⁶ Dost Thou not turn back? Thou revivest us, And Thy people do rejoice in Thee.

⁷ Show us, O Jehovah, thy kindness, And Thy salvation Thou dost give to us.

⁸ I hear what God Jehovah speaketh, For He speaketh peace unto His people, And unto His saints, and they turn not back to folly.
