Psalms 83:2-8

²(83:3) For, lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up their head.

³(83:4) Against thy people they take crafty secret device, and they consult against those whom thou protectest.

⁴(83:5) They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; and the name of Israel shall be remembered no more.

⁵(83:6) For they have consulted cordially together; against thee they make a covenant:

⁶(83:7) The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites: Moab, and the Hagarenes;

⁷(83:8) Gebal, and 'Ammon, and 'Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

⁸(83:9) Also Asshur is joined with them; they have become an arm unto the children of Lot. Selah.
