Psalms 83:2-10 in American Standard Version (1901)

2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult; And they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 They take crafty counsel against thy people, And consult together against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent; Against thee do they make a covenant:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre:
8 Assyria also is joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot. Selah
9 Do thou unto them as unto Midian, As to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;
10 Who perished at Endor, Who became as dung for the earth.

Psalms 83:2-10 in Brenton Septuagint Translation

2 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!
3 My soul longs, and faints for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh have exulted in the living God.
4 Yea, the sparrow has found himself a home, and the turtle-dove a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
5 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will praise thee evermore. Pause.
6 Blessed is the man whose help is of thee, O Lord; in his heart he has purposed to go up
7 the valley of weeping, to the place which he has appointed, for there the law-giver will grant blessings.
8 They shall go from strength to strength: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.
9 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: hearken, O God of Jacob. Pause.
10 Behold, O God our defender, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

Psalms 83:2-10 in Translation for Translators

2 because your enemies are rioting against you; those who hate you are rebelling against you!
3 They are secretly planning to do things to harm us, your people; they are ◄conspiring together against/planning how to defeat► the people whom you protect.
4 They say, “Come, we must destroy their nation, with the result that no one will remember that Israel ever existed!”
5 They have agreed on what they want to do to destroy Israel, and they have formed an alliance against you.
6 The people who have done that are the people of Edom region, the descendants of Ishmael who live on the east side of the Jordan River, the Moab people-group, the descendants of Hagar who also live on the east side of the Jordan River,
7 Gebal people-group, the Ammon people-group, the Amalek people-group, the Philistia people-group, and the people of Tyre city.
8 The people of Assyria have joined them; they are strong allies of the Moab and Ammon people-groups, who are descendants of Abraham's nephew Lot.
9 God, do to those people things like you did to the Midian people-group, like you did to Sisera and Jabin at Kishon River.
10 You destroyed them at Endor town, and their corpses lay on the ground and decayed.

2 For see! those who make war on you are out of control; your haters are lifting up their heads.
3 They have made wise designs against your people, talking together against those whom you keep in a secret place.
4 They have said, Come, let us put an end to them as a nation; so that the name of Israel may go out of man's memory.
5 For they have all come to an agreement; they are all joined together against you:

2 How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of host!
3 My soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God.
4 For the sparrow hath found herself a house, and the turtle a nest for herself where she may lay her young ones: Thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
5 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house, O Lord: they shall praise thee for ever and ever.
6 Blessed is the man whose help is from thee: in his heart he hath disposed to ascend by steps,
7 In the vale of tears, in the place which be hath set.
8 For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.
9 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob.
10 Behold, O God our protector: and look on the face of thy Christ.

2 Can't you hear the roars of your enemies? Can't you see how those who hate you are defiantly lifting up their heads?
3 They invent cunning plans to conspire against your people; they plot against those you treasure.
4 They say, “Come on! Let's destroy them as a nation so the name ‘Israel’ will be completely forgotten.”
5 They all agree in their conspiracy; they've made a treaty together to attack you—
6 the people of Edom, the Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagirites;
7 the people of Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, and the inhabitants of Tyre.
8 Assyria too has joined them, allied with the descendants of Lot. Selah.
9 Do to them what you did to Midian, what you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.
10 They were destroyed at Endor and became like manure to fertilize the ground.

Psalms 83:2-10 in Wycliffe's Bible with Modern Spelling (Enhanced)

2 For lo! thine enemies sounded; and they that hate thee raised the head. (For behold! thy enemies have raised a ruckus; and those who hate thee have raised up their heads in revolt, (or in defiance).)
3 They made a wicked counsel on thy people; and they thought against thy saints. (They made wicked plans against thy people; yea, they thought together against thy saints.)
4 They said, Come ye, and lose we them from the folk; and the name of Israel be no more had in mind. (They said, Come ye, and let us destroy their nation; and then the name of Israel shall no more be remembered.)
5 For they thought with one accord; (For they thought with one accord; they proposed together a plan against thee or they conspired to work together against thee;)
6 the tabernacles of Idumeans, and men of Ishmael disposed a testament together against thee. Moab, and Hagarenes, (yea, the families of the Edomites, and the Ishmaelites; and the Moabites, and the Hagarenes;)
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; (and the) aliens with them that dwell in Tyre. (and the peoples of Gebal, and of Ammon, and of Amalek; and the Philistines, and those who live in Tyre.)
8 For Assur cometh with them; they be made into help to the sons of Lot. (And the Assyrians also come with them; they all want to help the sons and daughters of Lot.)
9 Make thou to them as to Midian, and Sisera; as to Jabin, in the strand of Kison. (Do thou to them like thou did to the Midianites, and to Sisera; and to Jabin, at the Kishon Stream.)
10 They perished in Endor; they were made as a turd of earth. (They perished at Endor; they were made like a turd upon the earth.)

Psalms 83:2-10 in Young's Literal Translation

2 For, lo, Thine enemies do roar, And those hating Thee have lifted up the head,
3 Against Thy people they take crafty counsel, And consult against Thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, 'Come, And we cut them off from being a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered any more.'
5 For they consulted in heart together, Against Thee a covenant they make,
6 Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre,
8 Asshur also is joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. Selah.
9 Do to them as to Midian, As to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the stream Kishon.
10 They were destroyed at Endor, They were dung for the ground!
