⁵ He appointed it in Joseph for a testimony, When he went out over the land of Egypt, Where I heard a language that I knew not.

⁶ I removed his shoulder from the burden: His hands were freed from the basket.

⁷ Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah

⁸ Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto me!

⁹ There shall no strange god be in thee; Neither shalt thou worship any foreign god.

¹⁰ I am Jehovah thy God, Who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

¹¹ But my people hearkened not to my voice; And Israel would none of me.

⁵ They know not, nor understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be shaken.

⁶ I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you children of the Most High.

⁷ But ye die as men, and fall as one of the princes.

⁸ Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

⁵ He commanded us Israeli people to obey it when he punished the people of Egypt. I heard someone MTY whose voice I did not recognize, saying,

⁶ “ After the rulers of Egypt forced you Israelis to work as slaves, I took those heavy burdens off your backs, and I enabled you to lay down those heavy baskets of bricks that you were carrying.

⁷ When you were greatly distressed, you called out to me, and I rescued you; I answered you out of a thundercloud. Later I tested whether you would trust me to give you water when you were in the desert at Meribah.

⁸ You who are my people, listen while I warn you! I wish that you Israeli people would pay attention to what I say to you!

⁹ You must not have any idols of other gods among you; you must never bow to worship any of them!

¹⁰ I am Yahweh, your God; It was not any of those other gods who brought you out of Egypt, I am the one who did it! So ask me what you want me to do for you MTY, and I will do it.

¹¹ But my people would not listen to me SYN; they would not obey me.

⁵ They know not, nor understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be shaken.

⁸ Give ear, O my people, and I will give you my word, O Israel, if you will only do as I say!

⁹ There is to be no strange god among you; you are not to give worship to any other god.

¹⁰ I am the Lord your God, who took you up from the land of Egypt: let your mouth be open wide, so that I may give you food.

¹¹ But my people did not give ear to my voice; Israel would have nothing to do with me.

⁸ Arise, O God, judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit among all the nations.

⁵ God made this statute for Joseph when he opposed the land of Egypt. I heard a voice I didn't know, saying:

⁶ “I took the load from your shoulders; I freed your hands from carrying heavy baskets.

⁷ In your suffering you cried out to me, and I saved you. I answered you from the thundercloud. I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

⁸ My people, listen to my warnings! Israel, please listen to me!

⁹ There must not be a strange god among you; you must never bow down to foreign gods and worship them.

¹⁰ I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.

¹¹ But my people didn't listen to me. Israel didn't want anything to do with me.

⁵ Hee set this in Ioseph for a testimonie, when hee came out of the land of Egypt, where I heard a language, that I vnderstoode not.

⁸ Heare, O my people, and I wil protest vnto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken vnto me,

⁹ Let there bee no strange god in thee, neither worship thou any strange god.

¹⁰ For I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide and I will fill it.

¹¹ But my people would not heare my voyce, and Israel would none of me.

⁸ (81:9) Hear, O my people, and I will give warning unto thee; O Israel, if thou wouldst but hearken unto me!

⁹ (81:10) There shall not be among thee a foreign God; nor shalt thou bow thyself down to any strange God.

¹⁰ (81:11) I am the Lord thy God, who have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: open wide thy mouth, and I will fill it.

¹¹ (81:12) But my people did not hearken to my voice; and Israel was not willing to follow me.

¹⁰ I am Adonai , your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt Abode of slavery. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

¹¹ But my people didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Israel God prevails desired none of me.

⁵ He issued it as a regulation in Joseph when he went against the land of Egypt, where I heard a voice that I did not recognize:

⁷ In tribulation thou inwardly called-est me, and I delivered thee; I heard thee in the hid place of tempest, I proved thee at the waters of against-saying.

⁸ My people, hear thou me, and I shall be witness against thee; Israel, if thou hearest me,

⁹ a fresh God shall not be in thee; and thou shalt not worship an alien god.

¹⁰ For I am thy Lord God, that led thee out of the land of Egypt; make large thy mouth, and I shall fill it.

¹¹ And my people heard not my voice; and Israel gave not attention to me.

⁶ He turned away his back from burdens; his hands served in a coffin. (And the Lord said, I took away the burdens from off his back; his hands were delivered from having to carry the baskets.)

⁷ In tribulation thou inwardly calledest me, and I delivered thee; I heard thee in the hid place of tempest, I proved thee at the water(s) of against-saying. (In trouble thou calledest to me, and I saved thee; I answered thee from my hidden place in the tempest, and I proved thee at the waters of Meribah.)

⁸ My people, hear thou me, and I shall be witness against thee; Israel, if thou hearest me, (My people, hear thou me, and I shall witness to thee; Israel, if thou wouldest but listen to me,)

⁹ a fresh God shall not be in thee; and thou shalt not worship an alien god. (there shall be no new god for thee; and thou shalt never worship any foreign, or strange, god.)

¹⁰ For I am thy Lord God, that led thee out of the land of Egypt; make large thy mouth, and I shall fill it. (For I am the Lord thy God, who led thee out of the land of Egypt; open thy mouth wide, and I shall fill it.)

¹¹ And my people heard not my voice; and Israel gave not attention to me. (But my people would not listen to my voice; yea, Israel would not give their attention to me.)

⁵ A testimony on Joseph He hath placed it, In his going forth over the land of Egypt. A lip, I have not known — I hear.

⁶ From the burden his shoulder I turned aside, His hands from the basket pass over.

⁷ In distress thou hast called and I deliver thee, I answer thee in the secret place of thunder, I try thee by the waters of Meribah. Selah.

⁸ Hear, O My people, and I testify to thee, O Israel, if thou dost hearken to me:

⁹ There is not in thee a strange god, And thou bowest not thyself to a strange god.

¹⁰ I am Jehovah thy God, Who bringeth thee up out of the land of Egypt. Enlarge thy mouth, and I fill it.

¹¹ But, My people hearkened not to My voice, And Israel hath not consented to Me.
