⁷ And let the congregation of the peoples compass thee about; And over them return thou on high.

⁸ Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples: Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity that is in me.

⁹ Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish thou the righteous: For the righteous God trieth the minds and hearts.

¹⁰ My shield is with God, Who saveth the upright in heart.

¹¹ God is a righteous judge, Yea, a God that hath indignation every day.

¹² If a man turn not, he will whet his sword; He hath bent his bow, and made it ready;

¹³ He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; He maketh his arrows fiery shafts.

¹⁴ Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

¹⁵ He hath made a pit, and digged it, And is fallen into the ditch which he made.

¹⁶ His mischief shall return upon his own head, And his violence shall come down upon his own pate.

⁷ Arise, O Lord, in thy wrath; be exalted in the utmost boundaries of mine enemies: awake, O Lord my God, according to the decree which thou didst command.

⁸ And the congregation of the nations shall compass thee: and for this cause do thou return on high.

⁹ God, you know what every person is thinking, and because you are righteous, you always do what is just/right. So now stop evil people from doing wicked deeds, and defend all of us who are righteous!

¹⁰ God, you protect me like a shield protects soldiers MET; you protect all those who are righteous in their inner being.

¹¹ You judge everyone correctly, and every day you punish wicked people.

¹² Whenever your enemies do not ◄repent/change their behavior►, it is as though MET you sharpen your sword and put a string on your bow to get ready to kill them.

¹³ You are preparing your weapons that kill those whom they strike; the arrows that you will shoot have flaming tips.

¹⁴ Wicked people tell lies, and they think that they surely will be able to do MET the evil things that they are planning to do just as surely as a pregnant woman knows that she is going to give birth to a child MET.

¹⁵ But when they dig a deep pit to trap others, they themselves will fall into it.

¹⁶ They themselves will experience the trouble that they want to cause others to have; they will hurt themselves by the violent things that they want to do to others.

⁷ And the congregation of the nations shall compass you: and for this cause do you return on high.

⁹ O let the evil of the evil-doer come to an end, but give strength to the upright: for men's minds and hearts are tested by the God of righteousness.

¹⁰ God, who is the saviour of the upright in heart, is my breastplate.

¹¹ God is the judge of the upright, and is angry with the evil-doers every day.

¹² If a man is not turned from his evil, he will make his sword sharp; his bow is bent and ready.

¹³ He has made ready for him the instruments of death; he makes his arrows flames of fire.

¹⁴ That man is a worker of evil; the seed of wrongdoing has given birth to deceit.

¹⁵ He has made a hole deep in the earth, and is falling into the hole which he has made

¹⁶ His wrongdoing will come back to him, and his violent behaviour will come down on his head.

⁷ And the assembly of the peoples shall encompass thee; and for their sakes return thou on high.

¹¹ God is a righteous judge, and a God who is indignant all the day.

¹² If one turn not, he will sharpen his sword; he hath bent his bow and made it ready,

¹³ And he hath prepared for him instruments of death; his arrows hath he made burning.

¹⁴ Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood:

¹⁵ He digged a pit, and hollowed it out, and is fallen into the hole that he made.

¹⁶ His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own pate.

⁷ Rise up, O Lord, in thy anger: and be thou exalted in the borders of my enemies. And arise, O Lord my God, in the precept which thou hast commanded:

⁸ And a congregation of people shall surround thee. And for their sakes return thou on high.

⁹ The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and according to my innocence in me.

¹⁰ The wickedness of sinners shall be brought to nought: and thou shalt direct the just: the searcher of hearts and reins is God.

¹¹ Just is my help from the Lord: who saveth the upright of heart.

¹² God is a just judge, strong and patient: is he angry every day?

¹³ Except you will be converted, he will brandish his sword: he hath bent his bow and made it ready.

¹⁴ And in it he hath prepared the instruments of death, he hath made ready his arrows for them that burn.

¹⁵ Behold he hath been in labour with injustice; he hath conceived sorrow, and brought forth iniquity.

¹⁶ He hath opened a pit and dug it; and he is fallen into the hole he made.

⁷ Bring together the nations before you; rule them from your throne on high.

⁸ The Lord judges all people. Defend me, Lord, because I do what is right, because of my integrity.

⁹ Please bring an end to the evil done by the wicked; vindicate those who do good, for you are the God of right who examines hearts and minds.

¹⁰ The Most High God is my defense, the one who saves those who live right.

¹¹ God is a fair judge who is always hostile to evil.

¹² If people do not change their minds, he will sharpen his sword. He has bent and strung his bow.

¹³ He has prepared weapons of death, he has his flaming arrows ready.

¹⁴ See how the wicked conceive evil! They are pregnant with trouble. They give birth to dishonesty.

¹⁵ They dig a deep hole to catch people, but then fall into it themselves.

¹⁶ The trouble they cause rebounds to hit them on the head; their violence against others comes down on their own skulls.

⁷ So shall the Congregation of the people compasse thee about: for their sakes therefore returne on hie.

⁸ The Lord shall iudge the people: Iudge thou me, O Lord, according to my righteousnesse, and according to mine innocencie, that is in mee.

⁹ Oh let the malice of the wicked come to an ende: but guide thou the iust: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reines.

¹⁰ My defence is in God, who preserueth the vpright in heart.

¹¹ God iudgeth the righteous, and him that contemneth God euery day.

¹² Except he turne, he hath whet his sword: he hath bent his bowe and made it readie.

¹³ Hee hath also prepared him deadly weapons: hee will ordeine his arrowes for them that persecute me.

¹⁴ Beholde, hee shall trauaile with wickednes: for he hath conceiued mischiefe, but he shall bring foorth a lye.

¹⁵ Hee hath made a pitte and digged it, and is fallen into the pit that he made.

¹⁶ His mischiefe shall returne vpon his owne head, and his crueltie shall fall vpon his owne pate.

⁹ (7-10) Oh that a full measure of evil might come upon the wicked, and that Thou wouldest establish the righteous; for the righteous God trieth the heart and reins.

¹⁰ (7-11) My shield is with God, who saveth the upright in heart.

¹¹ (7-12) God is a righteous judge, yea, a God that hath indignation every day:

¹² (7-13) If a man turn not, He will whet His sword, He hath bent His bow, and made it ready;

¹³ (7-14) He hath also prepared for him the weapons of death, yea, His arrows which He made sharp.

¹⁴ (7-15) Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; yea, he conceiveth mischief, and bringeth forth falsehood.

¹² (7:13) If he turn not, He will whet his sword, he bendeth his bow, and maketh it ready.

¹³ (7:14) Also for him he prepareth the instruments of death; he fashioneth his arrows against the persecutors.

¹⁴ (7:15) Behold, he travaileth with wrong doing; but he hath conceived mischief, and bringeth forth falsehood.

¹⁵ (7:16) He hath hollowed out a pit, and dug it, and is fallen into the ditch which he hath wrought.

¹⁶ (7:17) His mischief will return upon his own head, and upon his own skull will his violence come down.

¹³ He prepareth for him the instruments of death; He shooteth his burning arrows.

¹⁴ Behold, he travailed with iniquity, And conceived mischief, But hath brought forth disappointment!

¹⁵ He made a pit and digged it. And is fallen into the ditch which he made.

¹⁶ His mischief returneth upon his own head, And his violence cometh down upon his own skull.

⁷ Gather the nations about you, and sit on your lofty throne,

⁸ as the Lord, the judge of the peoples. Judge me, Lord, in my innocence and according to my integrity.

⁹ Put an end to the wrong of the wicked, protect the righteous. Searcher of hearts and minds, righteous God.

¹⁰ God is my shield: he saves the upright in heart.

¹¹ God is a just judge, constant in righteous anger.

¹² He will sharpen his sword without fail, his bow is bent and ready,

¹³ his deadly weapons are ready, his arrows he makes of flame.

¹⁴ The enemy who conceives evil; pregnant with mischief, giving birth to lies,

¹⁵ a pit they have made and dug; but into the hole that they made they will fall.

¹⁶ On their own heads their mischief comes back; on their own skulls their violence comes down.

⁷ Gather the nations about you, and sit on your lofty throne,

⁸ as the Lord, the judge of the peoples. Judge me, Lord, in my innocence and according to my integrity.

⁹ Put an end to the wrong of the wicked, protect the righteous. Searcher of hearts and minds, righteous God.

¹¹ God is a just judge, constant in righteous anger.

¹² He will sharpen his sword without fail, his bow is bent and ready,

¹³ his deadly weapons are ready, his arrows he makes of flame.

¹⁴ The enemy who conceives evil; pregnant with mischief, giving birth to lies,

¹⁵ a pit they have made and dug; but into the hole that they made they will fall.

¹⁶ On their own heads their mischief comes back; on their own skulls their violence comes down.

⁷ The countries are assembled all around you; take once more your rightful place over them.

⁸ Yahweh, judge the nations; vindicate me, Yahweh, because I am righteous and innocent, Most High.

⁹ May the evil deeds of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous people, righteous God, you who examine hearts and minds.

¹⁰ My shield comes from God, the one who saves the upright in heart.

¹¹ God is a righteous judge, a God who is indignant each day.

¹² If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword and will prepare his bow for battle.

¹³ He prepares to use weapons against him; he makes his arrows flaming shafts.

¹⁴ Think about the one who is pregnant with wickedness, who conceives destructive plans, who gives birth to harmful lies.

¹⁵ He digs a pit and hollows it out and then falls into the hole he has made.

¹⁶ His own destructive plans return to his own head, for his violence comes down on his own head.

¹¹ God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

¹² If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

¹³ He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

¹⁴ Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

¹⁵ He made a pit, and digged it, and hath fallen into the ditch which he made.

¹⁶ His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

⁷ Let the congregation of the peoples surround you. Rule over them on high.

⁸ The LORD administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, LORD, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.

⁹ Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.

¹⁰ My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.

¹¹ God is a righteous judge, yes, a God who has indignation every day.

¹² If a man doesn’t repent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow.

¹³ He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.

⁹ The wickedness of sinners be ended; and thou, God, seeking the hearts, that is, thoughts, and reins, that is, delightings, shall dress a just or rightwise man.

¹⁰ My just or rightwise help is of the Lord; that maketh safe rightful men in heart.

¹¹ The Lord is a just or rightwise judge, strong and patient; whether he is wroth by all days?

¹² If ye be not converted, he shall flourish his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

¹³ And therein he hath made ready the vessels of death; he hath fully made his arrows with burning things.

¹⁴ Lo! the wicked hath conceived sorrow; he painfully hath brought forth unrightfulness or unrightwiseness, and he hath childed wickedness.

¹⁵ He opened a pit, and digged it out; and he fell into the ditch which he made.

¹⁶ His sorrow shall be turned into his head; and his wickedness shall come down into his neck.

⁷ and the synagogue of peoples shall (en)compass thee. And for this go thou again on high; (and the congregation of the people shall surround thee. And for them, go thou again on high;)

⁸ the Lord deemeth peoples. Lord, deem thou me by my rightfulness; and by mine innocence on me. (and then let the Lord judge the people. Lord, judge thou me according to my righteousness; and the innocence which is in me.)

⁹ The wickedness of sinners be ended; and thou, God, seeking the hearts, that is, thoughts, and reins, that is, delightings, shall (ad)dress a just man. (Let the wickedness of the sinners be ended; and thou, O God, who judgeth our thoughts, and our desires, shall direct the righteous.)

¹⁰ My just help is of the Lord; that maketh safe rightful men in heart. (My righteous help is from the Lord; who saveth the upright in heart.)

¹¹ The Lord is a just judge, strong and patient; whether he is wroth by all days? (The Lord is a righteous judge; every day he is angry with the wicked.)

¹⁵ He opened a pit, and digged it out; and he fell into the ditch which he made. (He opened a pit, and dug it out; but he himself shall fall into the ditch, which he hath made.)

¹⁶ His sorrow shall be turned into his head; and his wickedness shall come down into his neck. (His sorrow shall return onto his own head; and his wickedness shall come down onto his own neck.)

⁷ And a company of peoples compass Thee, And over it on high turn Thou back,

⁸ Jehovah doth judge the peoples; Judge me, O Jehovah, According to my righteousness, And according to mine integrity on me,

⁹ Let, I pray Thee be ended the evil of the wicked, And establish Thou the righteous, And a trier of hearts and reins is the righteous God.

¹⁰ My shield is on God, Saviour of the upright in heart!

¹³ Yea, for him He hath prepared Instruments of death, His arrows for burning pursuers He maketh.

¹⁴ Lo, he travaileth with iniquity, And he hath conceived perverseness, And hath brought forth falsehood.

¹⁵ A pit he hath prepared, and he diggeth it, And he falleth into a ditch he maketh.

¹⁶ Return doth his perverseness on his head, And on his crown his violence cometh down.
