⁷ Thou, even thou, art to be feared; And who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

⁸ Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; The earth feared, and was still,

⁹ When God arose to judgment, To save all the meek of the earth. Selah

¹⁰ Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: The residue of wrath shalt thou gird upon thee.

¹¹ Vow, and pay unto Jehovah your God: Let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

⁷ And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, saying,

⁸ Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be well pleased no more?

⁹ Will he cut off his mercy for ever, even for ever and ever?

¹⁰ Will God forget to pity? or will he shut up his compassions in his wrath? Pause.

¹¹ And I said, Now I have begun; this is the change of the right hand of the Most High.

⁷ But you cause everyone to be afraid. When you are angry and you punish people, no one can RHQ endure it.

⁸ From heaven you proclaimed that you would judge people, and then everyone on the earth was afraid and did not say anything more,

⁹ when you arose to declare that you would punish wicked people and rescue all those whom they had oppressed.

¹⁰ When you punish those with whom you are angry, your people will praise you, and your enemies who ◄survive/are not killed► will worship you on your festival days.

¹¹ So give to Yahweh the offerings that you promised to give to him; all the people of nearby people-groups should also bring gifts to him, the one who is awesome.

⁷ Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be well pleased no more?

⁸ Will he cut off his mercy for ever, even for ever and ever?

⁹ Will God forget to pity? or will he shut up his compassions in his wrath? Pause.

¹⁰ And I said, Now I have begun; this is the change of the right hand of the Most High.

¹⁰ For the fury of man shall praise thee; the remainder of fury wilt thou gird on thyself.

¹¹ Vow and pay unto Jehovah your God: let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that is to be feared.

⁷ And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit.

⁸ Will God then cast off for ever? or will he never be more favourable again?

⁹ Or will he cut off his mercy for ever, from generation to generation?

¹⁰ Or will God forget to shew mercy? or will he in his anger shut up his mercies?

¹¹ And I said, Now have I begun: this is the change of the right hand of the most High.

⁷ You are terrifying—who can stand before you when you are angry?

⁸ From heaven you announced judgment. Everyone on earth was afraid and stood still,

⁹ when you stood up to judge, to save the oppressed people of the earth. Selah.

¹⁰ Even human anger against you makes you look glorious, for you wear it alike a crown.

¹¹ Make your promises to God and be sure to keep them. Everyone bring gifts to the awe-inspiring one.

⁷ Thou, euen thou art to be feared: and who shall stand in thy sight, when thou art angrie!

⁸ Thou didest cause thy iudgement to bee heard from heauen: therefore the earth feared and was still,

⁹ When thou, O God, arose to iudgement, to helpe all the meeke of the earth. Selah.

¹⁰ Surely the rage of man shall turne to thy praise: the remnant of the rage shalt thou restrayne.

¹¹ Vowe and performe vnto the Lord your God, all ye that be rounde about him: let them bring presents vnto him that ought to be feared.

⁹ (76-10) When God arose to judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah

¹⁰ (76-11) Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee; the residue of wrath shalt Thou gird upon Thee.

¹¹ (76-12) Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God; let all that are round about Him bring presents unto Him that is to be feared;

⁹ When God arose to judgment, To save all the oppressed of the earth!

¹⁰ The wrath of man shall praise thee, When thou girdest on the whole of thy wrath!

¹¹ Make and perform vows to Jehovah, your God! Let all that dwell around him bring gifts to the terrible One,

⁷ Awful are you: who can stand before you, when once you are angry?

⁸ The judgement you gave from heaven frightened the earth into silence,

⁹ when God arose to judgement to save the oppressed of the earth. Selah

¹⁰ The fiercest will praise you, to you will the remnant hold festival.

¹¹ Vow and pay to Lord your God, and let all who are round him bring presents.

⁷ Awful are you: who can stand before you, when once you are angry?

⁸ The judgment you gave from heaven frightened the earth into silence,

⁹ when God arose to judgment to save the oppressed of the earth. Selah

¹⁰ The fiercest will praise you, to you will the remnant hold festival.

¹⁰ Surely your angry judgment against humanity will bring you praise; you gird yourself with what is left of your anger.

¹¹ Make vows to Yahweh your God and keep them. May all who surround him bring gifts to him who is to be feared.

⁸ From heaven thou madest doom heard; the earth trembled, and rested.

⁹ When God rose up into doom; to make safe all the mild men of earth.

¹⁰ For the thought of man shall acknowledge to thee; and the remnants or leavings of thought shall make a feast day to thee.

¹¹ Make ye a vow, and yield ye to your Lord God; all that bring gifts in the compass of it. To God fearedful,

⁷ Thou art fearful, and who shall against-stand thee? from that time (of) thine ire. (Thou art to be feared; and who shall be able to stand against thee, when thou art angry?)

⁸ From heaven thou madest doom heard; the earth trembled, and rested. (From heaven thou madest thy judgement heard; and the earth trembled, or shook, and kept silent.)

⁹ When God rose up into doom; to make safe all the mild men of earth. (When God rose up to judge; and to save all the humble of the earth.)

¹⁰ For the thought of man shall acknowledge to thee; and the remnants of thought/the leavings of thought shall make a feast day to thee. (For all their anger, people shall still praise thee; and they who be the remnants or who be the survivors shall make a feast day to thee.)

¹¹ Make ye a vow, and yield ye to your Lord God; all that bring gifts in the compass of it. To God fearedful, (Make ye a vow, and pay ye it to the Lord your God; and let those who be all around bring gifts to him. To him who is to be feared,)

⁷ Thou, fearful art Thou, And who doth stand before Thee, Since Thou hast been angry!

⁸ From heaven Thou hast sounded judgment, Earth hath feared, and hath been still,

⁹ In the rising of God to judgment, To save all the humble of earth. Selah.

¹⁰ For the fierceness of man praiseth Thee, The remnant of fierceness Thou girdest on.

¹¹ Vow and complete to Jehovah your God, All ye surrounding him. They bring presents to the Fearful One.
