⁵ By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea:

⁶ Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might;

⁷ Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.

⁸ They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

⁹ Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them grain, when thou hast so prepared the earth.

⁵ Come and behold the works of God; he is terrible in his counsels beyond the children of men.

⁶ Who turns the sea into dry land; they shall go through the river on foot; there shall we rejoice in him,

⁷ who by his power is Lord over the age, his eyes look upon the nations; let not them that provoke him be exalted in themselves. Pause.

⁸ Bless our God, ye Gentiles, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;

⁹ who quickens my soul in life, and does not suffer my feet to be moved.

⁵ God, when we pray to you, you answer us and save us by doing awesome deeds; you are the one who rescues us; people who live in very remote places on the earth, on the other side of the oceans, trust in you.

⁶ By your strength you put the mountains in their places, showing that you are very powerful.

⁷ You calm the seas when they roar, and you stop the waves from crashing on the shore; you also calm people when they ◄make a great uproar/shout angrily together►.

⁸ People who live in very remote/distant places on the earth ◄are awed by/revere► you because of the miracles that you perform; because of what you do, people who live far to the west and far to the east shout joyfully.

⁹ You take care of the soil and send rain, causing many good things to grow; you fill the streams with water, and cause grain/crops to grow. That is what you have determined/said would happen.

⁶ The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:

⁷ Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.

⁸ Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.

⁹ You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.

⁹ Thou hast visited the earth, thou hast watered it; thou greatly enrichest it: the river of God is full of water; thou providest their corn, when thou hast so prepared it:

⁵ Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.

⁶ Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.

⁷ Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.

⁸ O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.

⁹ Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:

⁵ In your goodness you answer us through the wonderful things you do, God of our salvation. You can be trusted by everyone on earth, including those sailing distant oceans.

⁶ You made the mountains by your power, for you have great strength.

⁷ You calm the raging seas and crashing waves, you silence the noisy shouts of the nations.

⁸ Everyone, even those in distant lands, are amazed by the wonderful things you do, from the east to the west they sing for joy.

⁹ You care for the earth and water it; you make it very productive. God, your river is full of water to grow the grain—this is what you have planned.

⁵ O God of our saluation, thou wilt answere vs with fearefull signes in thy righteousnes, O thou the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are farre off in the sea.

⁶ He stablisheth the mountaines by his power: and is girded about with strength.

⁷ He appeaseth the noyse of the seas and the noyse of the waues thereof, and the tumults of the people.

⁸ They also, that dwell in the vttermost parts of the earth, shalbe afraide of thy signes: thou shalt make the East and the West to reioyce.

⁹ Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou makest it very riche: the Riuer of God is full of water: thou preparest them corne: for so thou appointest it.

⁶ (65-7) Who by Thy strength settest fast the mountains, who art girded about with might;

⁸ (65-9) So that they that dwell in the uttermost parts stand in awe of Thy signs; Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

⁹ (65-10) Thou hast remembered the earth, and watered her, greatly enriching her, with the river of God that is full of water; Thou preparest them corn, for so preparest Thou her.

⁶ (65:7) Who setteth firmly the mountains by his power, who is girded with might;

⁷ (65:8) Who assuageth the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of nations.

⁸ (65:9) And they that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid of thy wondrous signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening thou causest to rejoice.

⁹ (65:10) Thou hast thought of the earth, and waterest her abundantly; thou greatly enrichest her; the brook of God is full of water: thou preparest their corn, when thou hast thus prepared her.

⁵ Come and behold the works of God; He is terrible in his counsels beyond the children of men.

⁹ Thou visitest the earth and waterest it; Thou enrichest it exceedingly; The river of God is full of water. Thou suppliest the earth with corn, When thou hast thus prepared it.

⁵ In dread deeds you loyally answer us, O God of our salvation, whom all ends of the earth put their trust in, and islands far away.

⁶ By your strength you establish the hills, you are armed with might;

⁸ so that those who live at earth's bounds are awed at your signs: the lands of the sunrise and sunset you make to ring with joy.

⁹ You visit and water the earth; you greatly enrich her with the river of God, which is full of water. You prepare the corn thereof,

⁵ In dread deeds you loyally answer us, O God of our salvation, whom all ends of the earth put their trust in, and islands far away.

⁶ By your strength you establish the hills, you are armed with might;

⁸ so that those who live at earth's bounds are awed at your signs: the lands of the sunrise and sunset you make to ring with joy.

⁸ They also who dwell in far away places are afraid at your wonders. You call the morning’s dawn and the evening with songs of joy.

⁹ You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.

⁵ In righteousness you will answer us by doing amazing things, God of our salvation; you who are hope of all the ends of the earth and of those who are far across the sea.

⁶ For it is you who made the mountains firm, you who are belted with strength.

⁷ It is you who quiet the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the commotion of the peoples.

⁸ Those who live in the uttermost parts of the earth are afraid of the evidence of your deeds; you make the east and the west rejoice.

⁹ You come to help the earth; you water it; you greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; you provide mankind grain when you have prepared the earth.

⁶ And thou makest ready hills in thy virtue, and art girded with power;

⁷ which troublest the depth of the sea, the sound of the waves thereof. Folks shall be troubled,

⁸ and they that dwell in the ends shall dread of thy signs; thou shalt delight the outgoings of the morrow-tide and eventide.

⁹ Thou hast visited the land, and hast greatly filled it; thou hast multiplied to make it rich. The flood of God was full-filled with waters; thou madest ready the meat of them, for the making ready thereof is so.

⁵ wonderful in equity. God, our health, hear thou us; thou art hope of all coasts of earth, and in the sea afar. (With wonderful things, and with victory, thou answereth us, O God, our salvation, or O God, our deliverance; thou art the hope of all who be at the ends of the earth, and who be far across the sea.)

⁶ And thou makest ready hills in thy virtue, and art girded with power; (And thou preparest the mountains with thy strength, and thou art girded with power;)

⁷ which troublest the depth of the sea, the sound of the waves thereof. Folks shall be troubled, (ye who maketh the sea to be still, when it is troubled, yea, who quieteth the roar of its waves. And the people as well; when they be troubled.)

⁸ and they that dwell in the ends shall dread of thy signs; thou shalt delight the outgoings of the morrowtide and eventide. (And they who live at the ends of the earth shall be filled with awe at thy signs; thou even makest the morning and the evening to have delight at what thou hast done.)

⁹ Thou hast visited the land, and hast greatly filled it; thou hast multiplied to make it rich. The flood of God was full-filled with waters; thou madest ready the meat of them, for the making ready thereof is so, (or The rivers of God were filled full with water; and thou preparedest rain for the land or and thou preparedest corn for the land, for such is its preparation).

⁵ By fearful things in righteousness Thou answerest us, O God of our salvation, The confidence of all far off ends of earth and sea.

⁶ Establishing mountains by His power, He hath been girded with might,

⁷ Restraining the noise of seas, the noise of their billows, And the multitude of the peoples.

⁸ And the inhabitants of the uttermost parts From Thy signs are afraid, The outgoings of morning and evening Thou causest to sing.

⁹ Thou hast inspected the earth, and waterest it, Thou makest it very rich, the rivulet of God is full of water, Thou preparest their corn, When thus Thou dost prepare it,
