Psalms 62:7-11 in English

⁷ With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

⁸ Trust in him at all times, ye people; Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah

⁹ Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.

¹⁰ Trust not in oppression, And become not vain in robbery: If riches increase, set not your heart thereon.

¹¹ God hath spoken once, Twice have I heard this, That power belongeth unto God.

⁷ Forasmuch as I have remembered thee on my bed: in the early seasons I have meditated on thee.

⁸ For thou hast been my helper, and in the shelter of thy wings will I rejoice.

⁹ My soul has kept very close behind thee: thy right hand has upheld me.

¹⁰ But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts of the earth.

¹¹ They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.

⁷ God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is like an overhanging strong rock under which I can find shelter MET.

⁸ You my people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is ◄our refuge/the one who protects us► MET.

⁹ People who are considered to be unimportant are as worthless/unreliable as a breath of air; people who are considered to be important also really ◄amount to nothing/cannot be trusted to help us►. If you put them all on a scale, it would be as if they weighed less than a puff of air.

¹⁰ Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in IDM your money.

¹¹ I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who really has power,

⁷ For you have been my helper, and in the shelter of your wings will I rejoice.

¹⁰ Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it.

¹¹ Once has God said, twice has it come to my ears, that power is God's:

⁷ If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:

⁸ Because thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the covert of thy wings:

¹¹ They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, they shall be the portions of foxes.

⁷ My salvation and my success come from God alone; God is my security and my protection.

⁸ My people, always trust in him. Pour out all your thoughts to him, for he is the one who looks after us. Selah.

⁹ Ordinary people are mere breaths, while leaders are just fakes. Put them all together and weigh them on scales and they wouldn't weigh more than air!

¹⁰ Don't trust in money made by extortion or robbery. Don't be proud of your wealth even if you are successful—don't make money what you live for.

¹¹ God has already made it clear—I have heard it many times—power belongs to you, God.

⁹ Nevertheless the sons of men be (all in) vain; the sons of men be liars in balances, that they deceive of vanity into the same thing. (Nevertheless the lives of the sons and daughters of men be but a puff of air; yea, the sons and daughters of men all be liars, and if you put them on a balance, their lives shall be lighter than a breath, or a puff of air.)

¹⁰ Do not ye have hope in wickedness, and do not ye covet ravens; if riches be plenteous, do not ye set the heart thereto. (Do not ye have trust in wickedness, and do not ye desire, or lust after, stolen goods; if riches be plentiful, do not ye set your heart on it.)

¹¹ God spake once, I heard these two things; that power is of God (or that power belongeth to God),

⁹ Only — vanity are the low, a lie the high. In balances to go up they than vanity are lighter.

¹⁰ Trust not in oppression, And in robbery become not vain, Wealth — when it increaseth — set not the heart.
