¹ For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. My soul waiteth in silence for God only: From him cometh my salvation.

² He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved.

³ How long will ye set upon a man, That ye may slay him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?

² O God, my God, I cry to thee early; my soul has thirsted for thee: how often has my flesh longed after thee, in a barren and trackless and dry land!

³ Thus have I appeared before thee in the sanctuary, that I might see thy power and thy glory.

³ When will you, my enemies, stop attacking me RHQ? I feel that I am as useless against you as a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence MET.

² Yet he is my strength and my saluation, and my defence: therefore I shall not much be mooued.

³ How long wil ye imagine mischiefe against a man? ye shalbe all slaine: ye shalbe as a bowed wall, or as a wall shaken.

³ How long fall ye on a man? all ye slain; as to a wall bowed, and as a wall of stone without mortar cast down. (How long shall ye fall upon a man? ye shall all be killed; ye shall be like a wall bowed down, yea, like a stone wall without mortar thrown down.)

³ Till when do ye devise mischief against a man? Ye are destroyed all of you, As a wall inclined, a hedge that is cast down.
