⁵ For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

⁶ Thou wilt prolong the king’s life; His years shall be as many generations.

⁷ He shall abide before God for ever: Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

⁸ So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, That I may daily perform my vows.

⁵ They only took counsel to set at nought mine honour: I ran in thirst: with their mouth they blessed, but with their heart they cursed. Pause.

⁶ Nevertheless do thou, my soul, be subjected to God; for of him is my patient hope.

⁷ For he is my God and my Saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved.

⁸ In God is my salvation and my glory: he is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.

⁶ I am the king of Israel; please allow me to live and rule for many years, and allow my descendants to rule also.

⁷ Allow us to rule forever while you observe us; watch over us while you faithfully love us and do for us what you promised.

⁸ If you do that, I will always sing to praise you MTY while I offer to you each day the sacrifices that I promised to give to you.

⁷ He dwelleth into without end in the sight of God; who shall seek the mercy and truth of him? (He shall live before God forever; may thy love, and thy faithfulness, preserve, and protect him.)

⁸ So I shall say psalm to thy name into the world of world; that I yield my vows from day into day. (And I shall sing songs, or praises, to thy name forever and ever; as I offer my vows each day.)

⁵ For Thou, O God, hast hearkened to my vows, Thou hast appointed the inheritance Of those fearing Thy name.

⁶ Days to the days of the king Thou addest, His years as generation and generation.

⁷ He dwelleth to the age before God, Kindness and truth appoint — they keep him.

⁸ So do I praise Thy name for ever, When I pay my vows day by day!
