Psalms 61:2-4 in English

² From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

³ For thou hast been a refuge for me, A strong tower from the enemy.

⁴ I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah

² Shall not my soul be subjected to God? for of him is my salvation.

³ For he is my God and my Saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved very much.

⁴ How long will ye assault a man? ye are all slaughtering as with a bowed wall and a broken hedge.

² From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

³ For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

⁴ I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

² While I am discouraged and far from my home, I am calling out to you. Lead me to the place that is like a high rock MET on top of which I will be safe.

³ You have been my refuge; you have been like a strong tower MET in which I am safe from being attacked by my enemies.

⁴ Allow me to live close to your temple all during my life HYP! Allow me to be safe MET, like a little bird is safe under its mother's wings.

² From this distant place, far from home, I cry out to you as my courage fails. Take me to a rock high above me where I will be safe,

³ for you are my protection, a strong tower where my enemies cannot attack me.

⁴ Let me live with you forever; protect me under the shelter of your wings. Selah.

² From the endes of the earth will I crye vnto thee: when mine heart is opprest, bring me vpon the rocke that is higher then I.

³ For thou hast bene mine hope, and a strong tower against the enemie.

⁴ I will dwell in thy Tabernacle for euer, and my trust shall be vnder the couering of thy wings. Selah.

³ for thou art made mine hope; a tower of strength from the face of the enemy. (for thou art made my hope; a tower of strength before my enemies.)

⁴ I shall dwell in thy tabernacle into worlds; I shall be covered in the covering of thy wings. (I shall live in thy Tent forever or I shall live in thy dwelling place forever; I shall be covered with the covering of thy wings.)

² From the end of the land unto Thee I call, In the feebleness of my heart, Into a rock higher than I Thou dost lead me.

³ For Thou hast been a refuge for me, A tower of strength because of the enemy.

⁴ I sojourn in Thy tent to the ages, I trust in the secret place of Thy wings. Selah.
