² Thou hast made the land to tremble; thou hast rent it: Heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

³ Thou hast showed thy people hard things: Thou hast made us to drink the wine of staggering.

⁴ Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah

⁵ That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer us.

⁶ God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

² O God, hearken to my petition; attend to my prayer.

³ From the ends of the earth have I cried to thee, when my heart was in trouble: thou liftedst me up on a rock, thou didst guide me:

⁴ because thou wert my hope, a tower of strength from the face of the enemy.

⁵ I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever; I will shelter myself under the shadow of thy wings. Pause.

⁶ For thou, O God, hast heard my prayers; thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.

² When we were defeated, it was as though MET there was a big earthquake in our land that caused the ground to split open. So now, just as only you can cause the cracks in the land to disappear, help our army to be strong again, because it is as though our country is ◄falling apart/being destroyed►.

³ You have caused us, your people, to suffer very much; it is as though you forced us to drink strong wine that caused us to stagger around after we became drunk.

⁴ But you have raised a battle flag for those who revere you in order that they can gather around it and not be killed by the enemies' arrows.

⁵ Answer our prayers and enable us by your power MTY to defeat our enemies in order that we, the people whom you love, will be saved.”

⁶ Then God answered my prayer and spoke from his temple, saying, “Because I have conquered your enemies, I will divide up everything in Shechem city, and I will distribute it among my people the land in Succoth Valley.

⁶ God has said in his holy place, I will be glad: I will make a division of Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will be measured out.

⁴ For thou hast been my hope; a tower of strength against the face of the enemy.

⁵ In thy tabernacle I shall dwell for ever: I shall be protected under the covert of thy wings.

⁶ For thou, my God, hast heard my prayer: thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.

² You have sent earthquakes on our land and split it apart. Now heal the cracks, for the land is still having tremors.

³ You have been very hard on your people; you gave us wine that made us stagger around.

⁴ But you have given those who respect you the banner of truth to unfurl and rally around. Selah.

⁵ Rescue those you love! Answer us, and save us by your power!

⁶ God has spoken from his Temple: “Triumphantly I divide up Shechem, and portion out the Valley of Succoth.

² Thou hast made the land to tremble, and hast made it to gape: heale the breaches thereof, for it is shaken.

³ Thou hast shewed thy people heauy things: thou hast made vs to drinke the wine of giddines.

⁴ But now thou hast giuen a banner to them that feare thee, that it may be displayed because of thy trueth. Selah.

⁵ That thy beloued may be deliuered, helpe with thy right hand and heare me.

⁶ God hath spoken in his holines: therefore I will reioyce: I shall deuide Shechem, and measure the valley of Succoth.

² You have shaken the land and cleft it; heal its tottering breaches.

³ You have made your people drink hardship, and given us wine of reeling.

⁴ You have given those who fear you a banner, a rallying-place from the bow, Selah

⁵ for the rescue of your beloved. Save by your right hand and answer us.

⁵ So that those you love may be rescued, rescue us with your right hand and answer me.

⁵ That thy darlings be delivered; make thou safe with thy right hand, and hear thou me.

⁶ God spake by or in his holy place; I shall be glad, and I shall part Shechem, and I shall mete or measure the great valley of tabernacles.

² Thou movedest the earth, and thou troubledest it; make thou whole (again) the sorrows thereof, for it is moved. (Thou hast shaken the earth, and thou hast troubled it; but now heal thou its wounds, for it is broken in pieces.)

³ Thou showedest hard things to thy people; thou gavest drink to us with the wine of compunction. (Thou hast shown thy people hard times; and thou hast made us stagger, as though we were drunk with wine.)

⁴ Thou hast given a signifying to them that dread thee; that they flee from the face of the bow. (Thou hast given a sign, or a warning, to those who fear thee or to those who revere thee; so that they can flee, or escape, from the face of the bow.)

⁵ That thy darlings be delivered; make thou safe with thy right hand, and hear thou me. (Save thy dear ones; yea, save thou us with thy right hand, and answer thou me.)

⁶ God spake by his holy (place); I shall be glad, and I shall part Shechem, and I shall mete the great valley of tabernacles. (God spoke in his holiness or God spoke from his sanctuary, and he said, I shall be glad, and I shall divide Shechem; and I shall measure out the Succoth Valley.)

² Thou hast caused the land to tremble, Thou hast broken it, Heal its breaches, for it hath moved.

³ Thou hast shewn Thy people a hard thing, Thou hast caused us to drink wine of trembling.

⁴ Thou hast given to those fearing thee an ensign. To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. Selah.
