¹⁶ As for me, I will call upon God; And Jehovah will save me.

¹⁷ Evening, and morning, and at noonday, will I complain, and moan; And he will hear my voice.

¹⁸ He hath redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me; For they were many that strove with me.

¹⁹ God will hear, and answer them, Even he that abideth of old, Selah The men who have no changes, And who fear not God.

²⁰ He hath put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him: He hath profaned his covenant.

¹⁶ As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

¹⁸ He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

¹⁸ I have very many enemies, but he will rescue me and bring me back safely from the battles that I fight.

¹⁹ God is the one who has ruled everything forever, and he will listen to me. He will cause my enemies to be defeated and disgraced, because they do not change their evil behavior and they do not reevere God.

²⁰ My companion, whom I mentioned previously, betrayed his friends and broke the agreement that he made with them.

¹⁹ God will give thought to me; he who from early times is strong will send pain and trouble on them. (Selah.) Because they are unchanged, they have no fear of God.

²⁰ He has put out his hand against those who were at peace with him; he has not kept his agreement.

¹⁷ I weep and groan morning, noon, and night, and he listens to me.

¹⁸ He rescues me, keeping me safe and sound from my attackers, because there are so many against me.

¹⁹ God who has ruled from the beginning will hear me and answer them. Selah. For they refuse to change and don't respect God.

²⁰ As for my best friend, he attacked his friends who had no quarrel with him; he broke the promises he had made to them.

¹⁶ But I will call vnto God, and the Lord will saue me.

¹⁷ Euening and morning, and at noone will I pray, and make a noyse, and he wil heare my voice.

¹⁸ He hath deliuered my soule in peace from the battel, that was against me: for many were with me.

¹⁹ God shall heare and afflict them, euen hee that reigneth of olde, Selah. because they haue no changes, therefore they feare not God.

²⁰ Hee layed his hande vpon such, as be at peace with him, and he brake his couenant.

²⁰ (55:21) He stretcheth out his hands against those at peace with him: he violateth his covenant.

²⁰ They lift up their hands against their friend, And break their covenant with him.

¹⁶ But I will call on God, the Lord will save me.

¹⁸ He will safely rescue my life from the battle that was against me, for those who fought against me were many.

¹⁹ God, the one who rules from eternity, will hear them and humiliate them. Selah They never change, and they do not fear God.

²⁰ My friend has raised his hands against those who were at peace with him; he has not respected the covenant that he had.

¹⁸ He shall again-buy my soul in peace from them, that nigh to me; for among many they were with me. (And he shall deliver my soul unto peace again, from those who come against me; for there were many against me.)

¹⁹ God shall hear; and he that is before the worlds shall make them low. For changing is not to them, and they dreaded not God; (God shall hear; and he who was before the worlds, shall humble them. For changing is not to them, and they do not fear God;)

²⁰ he holdeth forth his hand in yielding. They defouled his testament, (indeed, they put forth their hands, against those who be at peace with them. They have broken their promise, or their covenant,)

²⁰ He hath sent forth his hands against his well-wishers, He hath polluted his covenant.
