³ Thou lovest evil more than good, And lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah

⁴ Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

⁵ God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living. Selah

⁶ The righteous also shall see it, and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying,

⁷ Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.

⁸ But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.

⁹ I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it; And I will hope in thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints.

³ God looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there were any that understood, or sought after God.

⁴ They have all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, there is not even one.

⁵ Will none of the workers of iniquity know, who devour my people as they would eat bread? they have not called upon God. There were they greatly afraid, where there was no fear:

⁶ for God has scattered the bones of the men-pleasers; they were ashamed, for God despised them.

⁷ Who will bring the salvation of Israel out of Sion? When the Lord turns the captivity of his people, Jacob shall exult, and Israel shall be glad.

³ You like doing what is evil more than you like doing what is good, and you like telling lies more than you like telling the truth.

⁴ You who say things MTY to deceive people, you like to say ◄things that hurt people/cruel things►!

⁵ But God will get rid of you forever; he will grab you and drag you from your home and take you away from this world where people are alive.

⁶ When righteous people see that, they will be awestruck, and they will laugh at what happened to you, and say,

⁷ “Look what happened to the man who would not ask God to protect him; he trusted that his great wealth would save him; he trusted in the money that he got by wickedly taking it from others!”

⁸ But I am secure/safe because I worship in God's temple; I am like a strong green olive tree. I trust in God, who faithfully loves us forever.

⁹ God, I will always thank you for the things that you have done. As I stand before godly people, I will proclaim that you are good (OR, the many good MTY things you have done for us).

³ They have all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, there is not even one.

⁴ Destruction is in all your words, O false tongue.

⁵ But God will put an end to you for ever; driving you out from your tent, uprooting you from the land of the living. (Selah.)

⁶ The upright will see it with fear, and will say, laughing at you:

⁷ See, this is the man who did not make God his strength, but had faith in his goods and his property, and made himself strong in his wealth.

⁸ But I am like a branching olive-tree in the house of God; I have put my faith in his mercy for ever and ever.

⁹ I will give you praise without end for what you have done; I will give honour to your name before your saints, for it is good.

³ Thou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

⁴ Thou hast loved all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!

⁵ God shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

⁷ Behold the man that made not God his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his avarice.

⁸ But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I will confide in the loving-kindness of God for ever and ever.

⁹ I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it; and I will wait on thy name, before thy godly ones, for it is good.

³ God looked down from heaven on the children of men: to see if there were any that did understand, or did seek God.

⁴ All have gone aside, they are become unprofitable together, there is none that doth good, no not one.

⁵ Shall not all the workers of iniquity know, who eat up my people as they eat bread?

⁶ They have not called upon God: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear. For God hath scattered the bones of them that please men: they have been confounded, because God hath despised them.

⁷ Who will give out of Sion the salvation of Israel? when God shall bring back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

³ You love evil more than good, and telling lies more than speaking the truth. Selah.

⁴ You love slanderous words that destroy others, you liar!

⁵ But God will strike you down so hard you'll never get up. He will grab hold of you and drag you from your tent. He will tear you out of the land of the living. Selah.

⁶ Those who do right will see all this. They will be astonished and laugh, saying,

⁷ “See what happens to those who don't go to God for help but instead rely on their great wealth and strength—which only brings their destruction!”

⁸ But I'm like an olive tree growing strongly in God's house. I trust in God's unfailing love forever and ever.

⁹ I will praise you forever, God, for all you have done. In the presence of your trustworthy people, I will place my hope in the kind of person you are, for you are good.

³ Thou doest loue euill more then good, and lies more then to speake the trueth. Selah.

⁴ Thou louest all wordes that may destroye, O deceitfull tongue!

⁵ So shall God destroy thee for euer: he shall take thee and plucke thee out of thy tabernacle, and roote thee out of ye land of the liuing. Selah.

⁷ Beholde the man that tooke not God for his strength, but trusted vnto the multitude of his riches, and put his strength in his malice.

⁸ But I shall bee like a greene oliue tree in the house of God: for I trusted in the mercie of God for euer and euer.

⁹ I will alway praise thee, for that thou hast done this, and I will hope in thy Name, because it is good before thy Saints.

⁵ (52-7) God will likewise break thee for ever, He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah

⁷ (52-9) 'Lo, this is the man that made not God his stronghold; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.'

⁸ (52-10) But as for me, I am like a leafy olive-tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

⁹ (52-11) I will give Thee thanks for ever, because Thou hast done it; and I will wait for Thy name, for it is good, in the presence of Thy saints.

⁷ (52:9) “Lo, this is the man that made not God his fortress; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, relied proudly on his mischievous wickedness.”

⁸ (52:10) But I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the kindness of God for ever and ever.

⁹ (52:11) I will thank thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for it is good, before thy pious ones.

⁷ “Behold the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And placed his strength in his wickedness!”

⁸ But I shall be like a green olive-tree in the house of God; I will trust in the goodness of God for ever and ever.

⁹ I will praise thee for ever for what thou hast done; I will trust in thy name, because it is good, Before the eyes of thy godly ones!

³ Evil, not good, you love, and falsehood, not words of truth. Selah

⁴ But you love all words that devour, and a tongue that is given to deceit.

⁹ I will give you thanks forever for what you have done. I will wait for your name, because it is good, in the presence of your godly people.

⁴ Thou lovedest all words of casting down; with a guileful or treacherous tongue.

⁵ Therefore God shall destroy thee into the end, he shall draw thee out by the root, and he shall make thee to pass away from thy tabernacle; and thy root from the land of living men.

⁶ Just or Rightwise men shall see, and shall dread; and they shall laugh on him,

⁷ and they shall say, Lo! the man that setted or put not God his helper. But he hoped in the multitude of his riches; and had mastery in his vanity.

⁸ Forsooth I, as a fruitful olive tree in the house of God; hoped in the mercy of God without end, and into the world of world.

⁹ I shall acknowledge to thee into the world, for thou hast done mercy to me; and I shall abide thy name, for it is good in the sight of thy saints.

⁷ and they shall say, Lo! the man that setted not God his helper. But he hoped in the multitude of his riches; and had mastery in his vanity. (and they shall say, Behold! the man who did not want God to be his helper. But he trusted in the multitude of his riches; and had the mastery through his wickedness.)

⁸ Forsooth I, as a fruitful olive tree in the house of God; hoped in the mercy of God into without end, and into the world of world. (But I am like a fruitful olive tree in the House of God; I trust in God’s love, forever and ever.)
