⁴ Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in thy sight; That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, And be clear when thou judgest.

⁵ Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.

⁶ Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.

⁷ Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

⁸ Make me to hear joy and gladness, That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

⁹ Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities.

¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

¹¹ Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me.

⁴ thy tongue has devised unrighteousness; like a sharpened razor thou hast wrought deceit.

⁵ Thou hast loved wickedness more than goodness; unrighteousness better than to speak righteousness. Pause.

⁶ Thou hast loved all words of destruction, and a deceitful tongue.

⁷ Therefore may God destroy thee for ever, may he pluck thee up and utterly remove thee from thy dwelling, and thy root from the land of the living. Pause.

⁸ And the righteous shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say,

⁹ Behold the man who made not God his help; but trusted in the abundance of his wealth, and strengthened himself in his vanity.

¹⁰ But I am as a fruitful olive in the house of God: I have trusted in the mercy of God for ever, even for evermore.

¹¹ I will give thanks to thee for ever, for thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

⁴ You, you only, are the one that I have really sinned against, and you have seen the evil things that I have done. When you say that I am guilty, you are right/correct, and when you judge me, you justly say that I deserve to be punished.

⁵ I have been a sinner since the day that I was born; truly, I have been like that since my mother conceived me.

⁶ What you desire is that I desire what is true in order that you can teach me how to act wisely.

⁷ Purify me from the guilt of my sins, and after that happens, I will be clean in my inner being; cleanse me, and then in my inner being I will be ◄whiter than snow/very clean►.

⁸ Allow/Cause me to be joyful DOU again; you have ◄crushed my spirit/completely discouraged me► MTY; but now let me rejoice again.

⁹ Do not continue to look at the sins IDM that I have committed; erase the record of the evil things that I have done.

¹⁰ O God, cause my inner being to be pure. Put new thoughts within me and make me faithful again.

¹¹ Do not send me away from you because of my sin, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.

⁴ You have loved all words of destruction, and a deceitful tongue.

⁶ Your desire is for what is true in the inner parts: in the secrets of my soul you will give me knowledge of wisdom.

⁷ Make me free from sin with hyssop: let me be washed whiter than snow.

⁸ Make me full of joy and rapture; so that the bones which have been broken may be glad.

⁹ Let your face be turned from my wrongdoing, and take away all my sins.

¹⁰ Make a clean heart in me, O God; give me a right spirit again.

¹¹ Do not put me away from before you, or take your holy spirit from me.

⁴ Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in thy sight; that thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, be clear when thou judgest.

¹¹ Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.

⁴ All the day long thy tongue hath devised injustice: as a sharp razor, thou hast wrought deceit.

⁵ Thou hast loved malice more than goodness: and iniquity rather than to speak righteousness.

⁶ Thou hast loved all the words of ruin, O deceitful tongue.

⁷ Therefore will God destroy thee for ever: he will pluck thee out, and remove thee from thy dwelling place: and thy root out of the land of the living.

⁸ The just shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say:

⁹ Behold the man that made not God his helper: But trusted in the abundance of his riches: and prevailed in his vanity.

¹⁰ But I, as a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, have hoped in the mercy of God for ever, yea for ever and ever.

¹¹ I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for it is good in the sight of thy saints.

⁴ I have sinned against you, you alone. I have done evil in your sight. So you are right in what you say, and fair when you judge.

⁵ It's true that I was born guilty—sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

⁶ But you want truth on the inside; you teach me wisdom deep within.

⁷ Purify me with hyssop so I can be clean; wash me so I can be whiter than snow.

⁸ Please let me hear joy and happiness again; let the bones you have crushed be glad once more.

⁹ Turn your face away from looking at my sins; please wipe away my guilt.

¹⁰ Create a pure mind in me, God, and make me trustworthy again.

¹¹ Don't expel me from your presence; don't take away your Holy Spirit from me.

⁴ Against thee, against thee onely haue I sinned, and done euill in thy sight, that thou mayest be iust when thou speakest, and pure when thou iudgest.

⁵ Beholde, I was borne in iniquitie, and in sinne hath my mother conceiued me.

⁶ Beholde, thou louest trueth in the inwarde affections: therefore hast thou taught mee wisedome in the secret of mine heart.

⁷ Purge me with hyssope, and I shalbe cleane: wash me, and I shalbe whiter then snowe.

⁸ Make me to heare ioye and gladnes, that the bones, which thou hast broken, may reioyce.

⁹ Hide thy face from my sinnes, and put away all mine iniquities.

¹⁰ Create in mee a cleane heart, O God, and renue a right spirit within me.

¹¹ Cast mee not away from thy presence, and take not thine holy Spirit from me.

⁸ (51:10) Cause me to hear gladness and joy; that the bones which thou hast crushed may rejoice.

⁹ (51:11) Hide thy face from my sins, and all my iniquities do thou blot out.

¹⁰ (51:12) Create unto me a clean heart, O God; and a firm spirit renew thou within me.

¹¹ (51:13) Cast me not away from thy presence; and thy holy spirit do not take from me.

⁶ For lo! thou lovedest truth; thou hast showed to me the uncertain things, and privy things of thy wisdom. (For behold! thou lovedest the truth; and thou hast shown me the uncertain things, and the secret things, of thy wisdom.)

⁷ Lord, sprinkle thou me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed; wash thou me, and I shall be made white more than snow, (or wash thou me, and I shall be made more white than snow).

⁸ Give thou joy, and gladness to mine hearing; and bones made meek shall full out make joy. (Let me hear the sounds of joy, and of gladness; and then the bones, which thou hast broken and bruised, shall make great joy, or rejoice.)

⁹ Turn away thy face from my sins; and do away all my wickednesses.

¹⁰ God, make thou a clean heart in me; and make thou new a rightful spirit in my entrails. (God, make my heart clean in me; and put thou a new and right spirit deep within me.)

¹¹ Cast thou me not away from thy face; and take thou not away from me thine holy spirit. (Do not throw thou me away from before thee; and take thou not away thy holy spirit from me or and take thou not away thy Holy Spirit from me.)

⁴ Against Thee, Thee only, I have sinned, And done the evil thing in Thine eyes, So that Thou art righteous in Thy words, Thou art pure in Thy judging.

⁵ Lo, in iniquity I have been brought forth, And in sin doth my mother conceive me.

⁶ Lo, truth Thou hast desired in the inward parts, And in the hidden part Wisdom Thou causest me to know.

⁷ Thou cleansest me with hyssop and I am clean, Washest me, and than snow I am whiter.

⁸ Thou causest me to hear joy and gladness, Thou makest joyful bones Thou hast bruised.

⁹ Hide Thy face from my sin. And all mine iniquities blot out.

¹⁰ A clean heart prepare for me, O God, And a right spirit renew within me.

¹¹ Cast me not forth from Thy presence, And Thy Holy Spirit take not from me.
