³ But know that Jehovah hath set apart for himself him that is godly: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.

⁴ Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah

⁵ Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in Jehovah.

⁶ Many there are that say, Who will show us any good? Jehovah, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

⁷ Thou hast put gladness in my heart, More than they have when their grain and their new wine are increased.

³ O ye sons of men, how long will ye be slow of heart? wherefore do ye love vanity, and seek falsehood? Pause.

⁴ But know ye that the Lord has done wondrous things for his holy one: the Lord will hear me when I cry to him.

⁵ Be ye angry, and sin not; feel compunction upon your beds for what ye say in your hearts. Pause.

⁶ Offer the sacrifice of righteousness, and trust in the Lord.

⁷ Many say, Who will shew us good things? the light of thy countenance, O Lord, has been manifested towards us.

³ All those who are loyal to Yahweh, he has chosen them to belong to him. Yahweh listens to me when I pray to him.

⁴ When you people get angry, do not allow your anger to control you and cause you to sin. While you lie on your bed, silently examine what you are thinking g.

⁵ Also, offer to Yahweh the proper sacrifices, and continue trusting in him.

⁶ Some people ask, “Who will allow good things to happen to us?” But I say, “Yahweh, continue to act kindly toward us.

⁷ You have made me very happy; I am happier than people who have harvested a great amount of grain and grapes.

³ But know you° that the Lord has done wondrous things for his holy one: the Lord will hear me when I cry to him.

⁴ Be you° angry, and sin not; feel compunction upon your beds for what you° say in your hearts. Pause.

⁶ There are numbers who say, Who will do us any good? the light of his face has gone from us.

⁷ Lord, you have put joy in my heart, more than they have when their grain and their wine are increased.

³ But know that Jehovah hath set apart the pious man for himself: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.

⁴ Be moved with anger, and sin not; meditate in your own hearts upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

⁵ Offer sacrifices of righteousness, and confide in Jehovah.

⁶ Many say, Who shall cause us to see good? Lift up upon us the light of thy countenance, O Jehovah.

⁷ Thou hast put joy in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their new wine was in abundance.

³ O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?

⁴ Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.

⁵ Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.

⁶ Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?

⁷ The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.

³ You should realize that the Lord shows special favor to the faithful. The Lord listens when I call to him.

⁴ Be in awe, do not sin. When you rest, reflect on this, and keep quiet! Selah.

⁵ Offer sacrifices with the right attitude. Trust in the Lord.

⁶ Many say, “Who is going to show us some good?” Lord, may your face shine upon us.

⁷ The happiness you give me is better than those who have a plentiful harvest of grain and new wine.

³ For be ye sure that the Lord hath chosen to himselfe a godly man: the Lord will heare when I call vnto him.

⁴ Tremble, and sinne not: examine your owne heart vpon your bed, and be still. Selah.

⁵ Offer the sacrifices of righteousnes, and trust in the Lord.

⁶ Many say, Who will shewe vs any good? but Lord, lift vp the light of thy countenance vpon vs.

⁷ Thou hast giuen mee more ioye of heart, then they haue had, when their wheate and their wine did abound.

³ (4-4) But know that the LORD hath set apart the godly man as His own; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him.

⁴ (4-5) Tremble, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah

⁵ (4-6) Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

⁶ (4-7) Many there are that say: 'Oh that we could see some good!' LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.

⁷ (4-8) Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their corn and their wine increase.

³ But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: The Lord will hear when I call unto him.

⁶ (4:7) Many say, “Who will show us happiness? Let shine brightly over us the light of thy countenance, O Lord.”

⁷ (4:8) But thou hast placed more joy in my heart than at the time when their corn and their wine were increased.

³ O ye sons of men, how long will ye be slow of heart? Wherefore do ye love vanity, and seek falsehood? Pause.

⁴ But know ye that the Lord has done wondrous things for his holy one: The Lord will hear me when I cry to him.

⁵ Be ye angry, and sin not; Feel compunction upon your beds For what ye say in your hearts. Pause.

⁷ Many say, Who will show us good things? The light of thy countenance, O Lord, has been manifested toward us.

³ Know ye that the LORD hath exalted one that is devoted to him; The LORD will hear, when I call upon him.

⁴ Stand in awe, and sin no more; Commune with your hearts upon your beds, and desist! Pause.

⁵ Offer sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD!

⁶ There are many who say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us!

⁷ Thou puttest gladness into my heart, Greater than theirs, when their corn and wine are abundant.

³ See! The Lord has shown me his wonderful kindness: the Lord hears, when I call to him.

⁴ Sin not in your anger: but speak in your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah

⁵ Sacrifice ye the sacrifice or Offer ye an offering of rightfulness or right-wiseness, and hope ye in the Lord;

⁶ many say, Who showed good things to us? Lord, the light of thy cheer is marked upon us;

⁷ thou hast given gladness in mine heart. They be multiplied of the fruit of wheat, and of wine; and of their oil.

³ And know ye, that the Lord hath made marvellous his holy man; the Lord shall hear me, when I shall cry to him. (And know ye, that the Lord hath chosen the holy man for his own, or that the Lord hath shown me his wondrous love; and that the Lord shall hear me, when I shall cry to him.)

⁴ Be ye wroth, and do not ye sin; and for those evils to which ye say in your hearts and in your beds, be ye compunct. (Be ye angry, but sin ye not; and have ye remorse for the evils which ye say in your hearts, and in your beds.)

⁵ Sacrifice ye the sacrifice of rightfulness/ Offer ye an offering of rightfulness, and hope ye in the Lord; (Offer ye a righteous sacrifice, and trust ye in the Lord;)

⁶ many say, Who showed good things to us? Lord, the light of thy cheer is marked upon us; (many say, Who hath shown us any good thing? Lord, shine the light of thy face upon us!)

⁷ thou hast given gladness in mine heart. They be multiplied of the fruit of wheat, and of wine; and of their oil. (But thou hast put more gladness in my heart, than they have ever had; yea, even when their corn, and their wine, were plentiful.)

³ And know ye that Jehovah Hath separated a saintly one to Himself. Jehovah heareth in my calling to Him.

⁴ 'Tremble ye, and do not sin;' Say ye thus in your heart on your bed, And be ye silent. Selah.

⁵ Sacrifice ye sacrifices of righteousness, And trust ye unto Jehovah.

⁶ Many are saying, 'Who doth show us good?' Lift on us the light of Thy face, O Jehovah,

⁷ Thou hast given joy in my heart, From the time their corn and their wine Have been multiplied.
