¹ For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness; Thou hast set me at large when I was in distress: Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

² O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? How long will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah

³ But know that Jehovah hath set apart for himself him that is godly: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.

⁴ Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah

⁵ Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in Jehovah.

² When I called upon him, the God of my righteousness heard me: thou hast made room for me in tribulation; pity me, and hearken to my prayer.

³ O ye sons of men, how long will ye be slow of heart? wherefore do ye love vanity, and seek falsehood? Pause.

⁴ But know ye that the Lord has done wondrous things for his holy one: the Lord will hear me when I cry to him.

⁵ Be ye angry, and sin not; feel compunction upon your beds for what ye say in your hearts. Pause.

² How long will you people cause me to be disgraced instead of honoring me RHQ? You people love to falsely accuse me.

³ All those who are loyal to Yahweh, he has chosen them to belong to him. Yahweh listens to me when I pray to him.

⁴ When you people get angry, do not allow your anger to control you and cause you to sin. While you lie on your bed, silently examine what you are thinking g.

⁵ Also, offer to Yahweh the proper sacrifices, and continue trusting in him.

³ See how the Lord has made great his mercy for me; the Lord will give ear to my cry.

⁴ Let there be fear in your hearts, and do no sin; have bitter feelings on your bed, but make no sound. (Selah.)

⁵ Give the offerings of righteousness, and put your faith in the Lord.

² Ye sons of men, till when is my glory to be put to shame? How long will ye love vanity, will ye seek after a lie? Selah.

³ But know that Jehovah hath set apart the pious man for himself: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.

⁴ Be moved with anger, and sin not; meditate in your own hearts upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

² When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.

³ O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?

⁴ Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.

⁵ Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.

² How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you love what is worthless and tell lies? Selah.

³ You should realize that the Lord shows special favor to the faithful. The Lord listens when I call to him.

⁴ Be in awe, do not sin. When you rest, reflect on this, and keep quiet! Selah.

² O ye sonnes of men, howe long will yee turne my glory into shame, louing vanitie, and seeking lyes? Selah.

³ For be ye sure that the Lord hath chosen to himselfe a godly man: the Lord will heare when I call vnto him.

⁴ Tremble, and sinne not: examine your owne heart vpon your bed, and be still. Selah.

³ (4-4) But know that the LORD hath set apart the godly man as His own; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him.

⁴ (4-5) Tremble, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah

² (4:3) O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame? how long will ye love vanity, will ye seek for lies? Selah.

³ (4:4) But know that the Lord hath set apart the pious for himself: the Lord will hear when I call on him.

⁴ (4:5) Tremble, and sin not: commune with your heart upon your bed, and be still Selah.

³ Know ye that the LORD hath exalted one that is devoted to him; The LORD will hear, when I call upon him.

⁴ Stand in awe, and sin no more; Commune with your hearts upon your beds, and desist! Pause.

⁵ Offer sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD!

¹ For the leader, with stringed instruments. A psalm of David. Answer my cry, God, my defender. Often from straits you have brought me to spacious places. So now show me your favour and hear my prayer.

² How long, you proud people, will my honour be stained by the slanders you love, and the lies that you follow? Selah

³ See! The Lord has shown me his wonderful kindness: the Lord hears, when I call to him.

⁴ Sin not in your anger: but speak in your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah

⁵ Offer true sacrifice, trust in the Lord.

³ And know ye, that the Lord hath made marvellous his holy man; the Lord shall hear me, when I shall cry to him.

⁴ Be ye wroth, and do not ye sin; and for those evils to which ye say in your hearts and in your beds, be ye compunct.

⁵ Sacrifice ye the sacrifice or Offer ye an offering of rightfulness or right-wiseness, and hope ye in the Lord;

² Sons of men, how long be ye of heavy heart? why love ye vanity, and seek leasing? (Sons and daughters of men, how long shall ye insult me? why love ye empty and futile, or worthless, things, and go after lies?)

³ And know ye, that the Lord hath made marvellous his holy man; the Lord shall hear me, when I shall cry to him. (And know ye, that the Lord hath chosen the holy man for his own, or that the Lord hath shown me his wondrous love; and that the Lord shall hear me, when I shall cry to him.)

⁴ Be ye wroth, and do not ye sin; and for those evils to which ye say in your hearts and in your beds, be ye compunct. (Be ye angry, but sin ye not; and have ye remorse for the evils which ye say in your hearts, and in your beds.)

⁵ Sacrifice ye the sacrifice of rightfulness/ Offer ye an offering of rightfulness, and hope ye in the Lord; (Offer ye a righteous sacrifice, and trust ye in the Lord;)

¹ To the Overseer with Stringed Instruments. — A Psalm of David. In my calling answer Thou me, O God of my righteousness. In adversity Thou gavest enlargement to me; Favour me, and hear my prayer.

² Sons of men! till when is my glory for shame? Ye love a vain thing, ye seek a lie. Selah.

³ And know ye that Jehovah Hath separated a saintly one to Himself. Jehovah heareth in my calling to Him.

⁴ 'Tremble ye, and do not sin;' Say ye thus in your heart on your bed, And be ye silent. Selah.

⁵ Sacrifice ye sacrifices of righteousness, And trust ye unto Jehovah.
