² For Jehovah Most High is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth.

³ He subdueth peoples under us, And nations under our feet.

⁷ For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding.

⁸ God reigneth over the nations: God sitteth upon his holy throne.

⁹ The princes of the peoples are gathered together To be the people of the God of Abraham; For the shields of the earth belong unto God: He is greatly exalted.

² Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

³ The city of the great King is well planted on the mountains of Sion, with the joy of the whole earth, on the sides of the north.

⁴ God is known in her palaces, when he undertakes to help her.

⁵ For, behold, the kings of the earth were assembled, they came together.

⁶ They saw, and so they wondered: they were troubled, they were moved.

⁷ Trembling took hold on them: there were the pangs as of a woman in travail.

⁸ Thou wilt break the ships of Tharsis with a vehement wind.

⁹ As we have heard, so have we also seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God has founded it for ever. Pause.

² Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!

³ He enabled us to defeat the armies of the people-groups that lived in Canaan.

⁴ He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people MTY, whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.

⁵ God has gone up into his temple. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.

⁶ Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him DOU! Sing to God, our king!

⁷ God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!

⁸ God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of all ethnic groups.

⁹ The rulers of those people-groups gather as God's people, the people descended from Abraham, do. But God has more power than the weapons/shields of all the kings on the earth; ◄he is greatly honored/people honor him► everywhere.

⁹ The princes of peoples be gathered together with God of Abraham; for the strong gods of earth be raised greatly. (The rulers of the nations be gathered together with the people of the God of Abraham; for the strong of the earth belong to God, and he is raised above them all.)
