² For Jehovah Most High is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth.

³ He subdueth peoples under us, And nations under our feet.

⁴ He chooseth our inheritance for us, The glory of Jacob whom he loved. Selah

⁵ God is gone up with a shout, Jehovah with the sound of a trumpet.

⁶ Sing praises to God, sing praises: Sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

⁷ For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding.

⁸ God reigneth over the nations: God sitteth upon his holy throne.

³ The city of the great King is well planted on the mountains of Sion, with the joy of the whole earth, on the sides of the north.

⁵ For, behold, the kings of the earth were assembled, they came together.

⁶ They saw, and so they wondered: they were troubled, they were moved.

⁷ Trembling took hold on them: there were the pangs as of a woman in travail.

⁸ Thou wilt break the ships of Tharsis with a vehement wind.

¹ You people all over the world, clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to praise God!

² Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!

³ He enabled us to defeat the armies of the people-groups that lived in Canaan.

⁴ He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people MTY, whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.

⁵ God has gone up into his temple. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.

⁶ Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him DOU! Sing to God, our king!

⁷ God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!

⁸ God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of all ethnic groups.

⁶ Give praises to God, make songs of praise; give praises to our King, make songs of praise.

⁷ For God is the King of all the earth; make songs of praise with knowledge.

⁸ God is the ruler over the nations; God is on the high seat of his holy rule.

⁷ Trembling took hold of them. There were pains as of a woman in labour.

⁸ With a vehement wind thou shalt break in pieces the ships of Tharsis.

² For the Lord Most High is awe-inspiring; he is the great King of all the earth.

³ He subdues other peoples under us; he puts nations under our feet.

⁴ He chose the land for us to own; the proud possession of Jacob's descendants whom he loves. Selah.

⁵ God ascends his throne with a great shout, the Lord is accompanied by the sound of the trumpet.

² For the Lord is high and fearedful; a great king on all earth. (For the Most High Lord is to be feared or For the Most High Lord is to be revered; a great King over all the earth.)

³ He made peoples subject to us; and heathen men under our feet. (He made the peoples subject to us; and put the heathen under our feet.)

⁴ He chose his heritage to us; the fairness of Jacob, whom he loved. (He chose our inheritance for us; for we who be the beauty of Jacob, whom he loved.)

⁵ God ascended in hearty song; and the Lord in the voice of a trump. (God ascended with a hearty song; the Lord went up with the sound of trumpets.)

⁶ Sing ye to our God, sing ye; sing ye to our king, sing ye. (Sing ye to our God, sing ye; sing ye to our King, sing ye.)

⁷ For God is king of all earth; sing ye psalm wisely. (For God is the King of all the earth; sing ye songs with all your skill, or sing ye songs, and understand what they mean.)

⁸ God shall reign on heathen men; God sitteth on his holy seat. (God reigneth over all the heathen; yea, God sitteth on his holy throne.)
