⁴ There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

⁵ God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God will help her, and that right early.

⁶ The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered his voice, the earth melted.

⁷ Jehovah of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

⁸ Come, behold the works of Jehovah, What desolations he hath made in the earth.

⁴ He has subdued the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet.

⁵ He has chosen out his inheritance for us, the beauty of Jacob which he loved. Pause.

⁶ God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with a sound of a trumpet.

⁷ Sing praises to our God, sing praises: sing praises to our King, sing praises.

⁸ For God is king of all the earth: sing praises with understanding.

⁴ Blessings that come from God are like a river that makes everyone in the city where we worship God joyful. It is the city where the temple of God, who is greater than any other god, exists.

⁵ God is in this city, and it will never be destroyed; he will come to help the people in that city at dawn every day.

⁶ Sometimes the people of many nations are terrified; kingdoms ◄are overthrown/cease to exist►; God speaks loudly like thunder, and the earth melts (OR, people everywhere become terrified) MET.

⁷ But Yahweh, the commander of the armies of heaven, is with us; the God whom Jacob worshiped (OR, we Israeli people worship) is our refuge.

⁴ Yet there is a Riuer, whose streames shall make glad the citie of God: euen the Sanctuarie of the Tabernacles of the most High.

⁵ God is in the middes of it: therefore shall it not be moued: God shall helpe it very earely.
