⁵ Through thee will we push down our adversaries: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

⁶ For I will not trust in my bow, Neither shall my sword save me.

⁷ But thou hast saved us from our adversaries, And hast put them to shame that hate us.

⁸ In God have we made our boast all the day long, And we will give thanks unto thy name for ever. Selah

⁹ But now thou hast cast us off, and brought us to dishonor, And goest not forth with our hosts.

⁵ and bend thy bow, and prosper, and reign, because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall guide thee wonderfully.

⁶ Thy weapons are sharpened, Mighty One, (the nations shall fall under thee) they are in the heart of the king's enemies.

⁷ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness.

⁸ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with the oil of gladness beyond thy fellows.

⁹ Myrrh, and stacte, and cassia are exhaled from thy garments, and out of the ivory palaces,

⁵ Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

⁵ It is by your power that we knock our enemies down and tramp on them.

⁶ I do not trust that I will be saved by using my bow and arrows and my sword.

⁷ No, it is you who have rescued us from our enemies, it is you who have caused those who hate us to become ashamed because they were defeated.

⁸ We have continually boasted about what God has done for us, and we will thank him MTY forever.

⁹ But now you have rejected us and caused us to be disgraced; when our armies march out to fight a battle, you no longer go with them.

⁹ But now you have sent us away from you, and put us to shame; you do not go out with our armies.

⁷ For thou hast saved us from our adversaries, and hast put them to shame that hate us.

⁹ But thou hast cast off, and put us to confusion, and dost not go forth with our armies;

⁵ With thy comeliness and thy beauty set out, proceed prosperously, and reign. Because of truth and meekness and justice: and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully.

⁶ Thy arrows are sharp: under thee shall people fall, into the hearts of the king’s enemies.

⁷ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of uprightness.

⁸ Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

⁹ Myrrh and stacte and cassia perfume thy garments, from the ivory houses: out of which

⁵ Only through you can we repel our enemies; only in your name can we defeat our opponents.

⁶ I do not trust my bow; I do not have confidence in my sword to save me.

⁷ You are the one who saves us from our enemies; you defeat those who hate us.

⁸ God, we proudly thank you all day long, and praise your name forever. Selah.

⁹ But now you have rejected and disgraced us; you no longer accompany our armies.

⁵ Through thee haue we thrust backe our aduersaries: by thy Name haue we troden downe them that rose vp against vs.

⁶ For I do not trust in my bowe, neither can my sworde saue me.

⁷ But thou hast saued vs from our aduersaries, and hast put them to confusion that hate vs.

⁸ Therefore will wee praise God continually, and will confesse thy Name for euer. Selah.

⁹ But now thou art farre off, and puttest vs to confusion, and goest not forth with our armies.

⁵ (44-6) Through Thee do we push down our adversaries; through Thy name do we tread them under that rise up against us.

⁶ (44-7) For I trust not in my bow, neither can my sword save me.

⁷ (44-8) But Thou hast saved us from our adversaries, and hast put them to shame that hate us.

⁸ (44-9) In God have we gloried all the day, and we will give thanks unto Thy name for ever. Selah

⁹ (44-10) Yet Thou hast cast off, and brought us to confusion; and goest not forth with our hosts.

⁵ Through thee will we push down our enemies: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

⁶ (44:7) For not in my bow will I trust, and my sword shall not help me.

⁷ (44:8) But thou helpest us against our assailants, and those that hate us thou puttest to shame.

⁸ (44:9) Of God we boast all the day, and to thy name will we give thanks for ever. Selah.

⁹ (44:10) But now thou hast cast off, and put us to the blush, and goest not forth with our armies.

⁵ And bend thy bow, and prosper, and reign, Because of truth and meekness and righteousness; And thy right hand shall guide thee wonderfully.

⁶ Thy weapons are sharpened, Mighty One (The nations shall fall under thee); They are in the heart of the king’s enemies.

⁷ Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: The scepter of thy kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.

⁸ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity: Therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee With the oil of gladness beyond thy fellows.

⁹ Myrrh, and stacte, and cassia are exhaled from thy garments, And out of the ivory palaces,

⁵ Through thee we may cast down our enemies; Through thy name we may trample upon our adversaries!

⁶ I trust not in my bow, Nor can my sword save me.

⁷ But it is thou only who savest us from our enemies, And puttest to shame those who hate us!

⁸ In God will we glory continually; Yea, we will praise thy name for ever! Pause.

⁹ Yet now thou hast cast us off, and put us to shame; Thou goest not forth with our armies.

⁵ Through you we can thrust back our foes, and by your name tread down our assailants:

⁶ for not in my bow do I trust, nor can my sword win me the victory.

⁷ Our victory comes from you, and confusion to those who hate us.

⁸ In God we boast all the day long, and your name will we praise forever. Selah

⁹ Yet you have spurned and disgraced us, in not going forth with our armies,

⁵ Through you we can thrust back our foes, and by your name tread down our assailants:

⁹ But now thou hast put us aback, and hast shamed us; and thou, Lord, shalt not go out in our virtues.

⁵ By thee we shall winnow our enemies with the horn; and in thy name we shall despise them, that rise against us. (By thy power we shall winnow our enemies; and in thy name, we shall defeat those who rise up against us.)

⁶ For I shall not hope in my bow (or For I shall not trust in my bow); and my sword shall not save me.

⁷ For thou hast saved us from men tormenting us; and thou hast shamed men hating us.

⁸ We shall be pleased in God all day; and in thy name we shall acknowledge to thee into the world. (We shall glory in God all day long; and we shall praise thy name forever.)

⁹ But now thou hast put us aback, and hast shamed us; and thou, Lord, shalt not go out in our virtues. (But now thou hast rejected us, and hast humbled us; and O Lord, thou no longer goeth out with our hosts, or our armies.)

⁵ By Thee our adversaries we do push, By Thy name tread down our withstanders,

⁶ For, not in my bow do I trust, And my sword doth not save me.

⁷ For Thou hast saved us from our adversaries, And those hating us Thou hast put to shame.

⁸ In God we have boasted all the day, And Thy name to the age we thank. Selah.

⁹ In anger Thou hast cast off and causest us to blush, And goest not forth with our hosts.
