³ Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing: Thou makest all his bed in his sickness.

⁴ I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me: Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

⁵ Mine enemies speak evil against me, saying, When will he die, and his name perish?

⁶ And if he come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

³ My soul has thirsted for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

⁴ My tears have been bread to me day and night, while they daily said to me, Where is thy God?

⁵ I remembered these things, and poured out my soul in me, for I will go to the place of thy wondrous tabernacle, even to the house of God, with a voice of exultation and thanksgiving and of the sound of those who keep festival.

⁶ Wherefore art thou very sad, O my soul? and wherefore dost thou trouble me? hope in God; for I will give thanks to him; he is the salvation of my countenance.

³ When they are sick, Yahweh strengthens them, and he heals them.

⁴ When I was sick, I said, “Yahweh, be merciful to me and heal me; I know that I am sick because I have sinned against you.”

⁵ My enemies say cruel things about me; they say, “How soon will he die, and then everyone will forget about him MTY? (OR, he will not have any descendants to continue his name).”

⁶ When my enemies come to me, they falsely say that they are concerned about me. They listen to bad news about ◄me/my health►. Then they go away and tell everywhere what is happening to me.

⁶ If one comes to see me, deceit is in his heart; he keeps a store of evil, which he makes public in every place.

³ My soul hath thirsted after the strong living God; when shall I come and appear before the face of God?

⁴ My tears have been any bread day and night, whilst it is said to me daily: Where is thy God?

⁵ These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me: for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God: With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting.

⁶ Why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou trouble me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance,

³ The Lord looks after them when they're sick; he makes them well from their illness.

⁴ “Lord, please be gracious to me,” I asked. “Please heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

⁵ Those who hate me only say evil things about me. “When is he going to die, and people forget all about him?” they ask.

⁶ They come to visit me, but their sympathy is not sincere. They're only interested in the bad news, which they spread around as soon as they leave.

³ The Lord wil strengthen him vpon ye bed of sorow: thou hast turned al his bed in his sicknes.

⁴ Therefore I saide, Lord haue mercie vpon me: heale my soule, for I haue sinned against thee.

⁵ Mine enemies speake euill of me, saying, When shall he die, and his name perish?

⁶ And if hee come to see mee, hee speaketh lies, but his heart heapeth iniquitie within him, and when he commeth foorth, he telleth it.

³ (41-4) The LORD support him upon the bed of illness; mayest Thou turn all his lying down in his sickness.

⁴ (41-5) As for me, I said: 'O LORD, be gracious unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against Thee.'

⁵ (41-6) Mine enemies speak evil of me: 'When shall he die, and his name perish?'

⁶ (41-7) And if one come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he speaketh of it.

³ The Lord will sustain them on bed of languishing; tending their sickness, as long as they lie.

⁴ For this cause I say, “Lord, show me your favour; heal me, because I have sinned against you.”

⁵ My enemies speak of me nothing but evil, “When will he die, and his name pass away?”

⁶ When one comes to see me, their words ring hollow; their heart keeps gathering mischief the while; and when they go out, they give it speech.

³ The Lord will sustain them on bed of languishing; tending their sickness, as long as they lie.

⁴ For this cause I say, “Lord, show me your favor; heal me, because I have sinned against you.”

⁵ My enemies speak of me nothing but evil, “When will he die, and his name pass away?”

⁶ When one comes to see me, their words ring hollow; their heart keeps gathering mischief the while; and when they go out, they give it speech.

³ Adonai will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.

⁴ I said, “Adonai , have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

³ Yahweh will support him on the bed of suffering; you will make his bed of sickness into a bed of healing.

⁴ I said, “Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

⁵ My enemies speak evil against me, saying, 'When will he die and his name perish?'

⁶ If my enemy comes to see me, he says worthless things; his heart gathers up my disaster for itself; when he goes away from me, he tells others about it.

³ Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.

⁵ Mine enemies said evils to me; When shall he die, and his name shall perish?

⁶ And if he entered for to see me, he spake vain things; his heart gathered wickedness to himself. He went with-outforth; and spake to the same thing or the same end.

³ The Lord (shall) bear help to him on the bed of his sorrow; thou hast oft turned all his bedstraw in his sickness.

⁴ I said, Lord, have thou mercy on me; heal thou my soul, for I have sinned against thee.

⁵ Mine enemies said evils to me; When shall he die, and his name shall perish?

⁶ And if he entered for to see (me), he spake vain things (to me); his heart gathered wickedness to himself. He went withoutforth; and spake to the same thing/and spake to the same end. (And when he entered to see me, he spoke to me of empty, or useless, things; and his heart gathered wickedness unto itself. And then he went withoutforth; and spoke the same thing everywhere he went.)

³ Jehovah supporteth on a couch of sickness, All his bed Thou hast turned in his weakness.

⁴ I — I said, 'O Jehovah, favour me, Heal my soul, for I did sin against Thee,'

⁵ Mine enemies say evil of me: When he dieth — his name hath perished!

⁶ And if he came to see — vanity he speaketh, His heart gathereth iniquity to itself, He goeth out — at the street he speaketh.
