Help us?

Psalms 41:3-11 in American Standard Version (1901)

3 Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing: Thou makest all his bed in his sickness.
4 I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me: Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
5 Mine enemies speak evil against me, saying, When will he die, and his name perish?
6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
7 All that hate me whisper together against me; Against me do they devise my hurt.
8 An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Who did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me.
10 But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them.
11 By this I know that thou delightest in me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

Psalms 41:3-11 in Brenton Septuagint Translation

3 My soul has thirsted for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
4 My tears have been bread to me day and night, while they daily said to me, Where is thy God?
5 I remembered these things, and poured out my soul in me, for I will go to the place of thy wondrous tabernacle, even to the house of God, with a voice of exultation and thanksgiving and of the sound of those who keep festival.
6 Wherefore art thou very sad, O my soul? and wherefore dost thou trouble me? hope in God; for I will give thanks to him; he is the salvation of my countenance.
7 O my God, my soul has been troubled within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Ermonites, from the little hill.
8 Deep calls to deep at the voice of thy cataracts: all thy billows and thy waves have gone over me.
9 By day the Lord will command his mercy, and manifest it by night: with me is prayer to the God of my life.
10 I will say to God, Thou art my helper; why hast thou forgotten me? wherefore do I go sad of countenance, while the enemy oppresses me?
11 While my bones were breaking, they that afflicted me reproached me; while they said to me daily, Where is thy God?

3 When they are sick, Yahweh strengthens them, and he heals them.
4 When I was sick, I said, “Yahweh, be merciful to me and heal me; I know that I am sick because I have sinned against you.”
5 My enemies say cruel things about me; they say, “How soon will he die, and then everyone will forget about him MTY? (OR, he will not have any descendants to continue his name).”
6 When my enemies come to me, they falsely say that they are concerned about me. They listen to bad news about ◄me/my health►. Then they go away and tell everywhere what is happening to me.
7 All those who hate me whisper to others about me, and they hope/desire that very bad things will happen to me.
8 They say, “He will soon die because of his being sick; he will never get up from his bed before he dies.”
9 Even my best friend, whom I trusted very much, who often ate with me, has ◄betrayed me/put me into my enemies' hands► IDM.
10 But Yahweh, be merciful to me, and enable me to become healthy again. When you do that, I will be able to ◄pay back my enemies/get revenge on my enemies/cause my enemies to suffer like they caused me to suffer►.
11 If you enable me to do that, with the result that my enemies do not defeat me, I will know that you are pleased with me.

Psalms 41:3-11 in Bible in Basic English

3 The Lord will be his support on his bed of pain: by you will all his grief be turned to strength.
4 I said, Lord, have mercy on me; make my soul well, because my faith is in you.
5 My haters say evil against me, When will he be dead, and his name come to an end?
6 If one comes to see me, deceit is in his heart; he keeps a store of evil, which he makes public in every place.
7 All my haters are talking secretly together against me; they are designing my downfall.
8 They say, He has an evil disease, which will not let him go: and now that he is down he will not get up again.
9 Even my dearest friend, in whom I had faith, who took bread with me, is turned against me.
10 But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, lifting me up, so that I may give them their punishment.
11 By this I see that you have pleasure in me, because my hater does not overcome me.

Psalms 41:3-11 in Douay-Rheims 1899

3 My soul hath thirsted after the strong living God; when shall I come and appear before the face of God?
4 My tears have been any bread day and night, whilst it is said to me daily: Where is thy God?
5 These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me: for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God: With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting.
6 Why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou trouble me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance,
7 And my God. My soul is troubled within myself: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan and Hermoniim, from the little hill.
8 Deep calleth on deep, at the noise of thy flood-gates. All thy heights and thy billows have passed over me.
9 In the daytime the Lord hath commanded his mercy; and a canticle to him in the night. With me is prayer to the God of my life.
10 I will say to God: Thou art my support. Why hast thou forgotten me? and why go I mourning, whilst my enemy afflicteth me?
11 Whilst my bones are broken, my enemies who trouble me have reproached me; Whilst they say to me day be day: Where is thy God?

Psalms 41:3-11 in Free Bible Version

3 The Lord looks after them when they're sick; he makes them well from their illness.
4 “Lord, please be gracious to me,” I asked. “Please heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5 Those who hate me only say evil things about me. “When is he going to die, and people forget all about him?” they ask.
6 They come to visit me, but their sympathy is not sincere. They're only interested in the bad news, which they spread around as soon as they leave.
7 All who hate me talk in whispers about my condition, hoping for the worst.
8 “He's been cursed with some terrible disease,” they say. “Now he's bed-ridden he'll never recover!”
9 Even my best friend, the one I trusted, who shared meals with me—even he has turned against me.
10 But you Lord, please be gracious to me, make me well so I can repay them!
11 I know you are pleased with me because you have not let my enemies win and shout in triumph over me.

6 And if he cometh to see me , he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it .
7 All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
8 An evil disease, say they , cleaveth fast to him: and now that he lieth he shall rise no more.
9 Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful to me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
11 By this I know that thou favorest me, because my enemy doth not triumph over me.
Psalms 41 in Noah Webster Bible

Psalms 41:3-11 in World Messianic Bible

3 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
4 I said, “LORD, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5 My enemies speak evil against me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”
6 If he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.
7 All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me.
8 “An evil disease”, they say, “has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”
9 Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate bread with me, has lifted up his heel against me.
10 But you, LORD, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.
11 By this I know that you delight in me, because my enemy doesn’t triumph over me.

Psalms 41:3-11 in Wycliffe's Bible with Modern Spelling

3 The Lord shall bear help to him on the bed of his sorrow; thou hast oft turned all his bedstraw in his sickness.
4 I said, Lord, have thou mercy on me; heal thou my soul, for I have sinned against thee.
5 Mine enemies said evils to me; When shall he die, and his name shall perish?
6 And if he entered for to see me, he spake vain things; his heart gathered wickedness to himself. He went with-outforth; and spake to the same thing or the same end.
7 All mine enemies backbited privily against me; against me they thought evils to me.
8 They ordained an evil word against me; Whether he that sleepeth, shall not lie to, that he rise again?
9 For why the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, he that ate my loaves; made great deceit on me.
10 But thou, Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me up again; and I shall yield to them.
11 In this thing I knew, that thou wouldest or delightest in me; for mine enemy shall not have joy on me.

Psalms 41:3-11 in Wycliffe's Bible with Modern Spelling (Enhanced)

3 The Lord (shall) bear help to him on the bed of his sorrow; thou hast oft turned all his bedstraw in his sickness.
4 I said, Lord, have thou mercy on me; heal thou my soul, for I have sinned against thee.
5 Mine enemies said evils to me; When shall he die, and his name shall perish?
6 And if he entered for to see (me), he spake vain things (to me); his heart gathered wickedness to himself. He went withoutforth; and spake to the same thing/and spake to the same end. (And when he entered to see me, he spoke to me of empty, or useless, things; and his heart gathered wickedness unto itself. And then he went withoutforth; and spoke the same thing everywhere he went.)
7 All mine enemies backbited privily against me; against me they thought evils to me. (All my enemies secretly backbite me; they think up evil things to do to me.)
8 They ordained an evil word against me; Whether he that sleepeth, shall not lie to, that he rise again? (They ordained an evil word against me; and they said, He who sleepeth, now that he lieth down, shall not rise up again.)
9 For why the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, he that ate my loaves; made great deceit on me. (For my friend, in whom I trusted, he who ate my bread; brought forth great deceptions, or lies, against me.)
10 But thou, Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me (up) again; and I shall yield to them (or and I shall repay them).
11 In this thing I knew, that thou wouldest me; for mine enemy shall not have joy on me. (And by this I shall know that thou delightest in me; and that my enemy shall not have any joy over me.)

Psalms 41:3-11 in Young's Literal Translation

3 Jehovah supporteth on a couch of sickness, All his bed Thou hast turned in his weakness.
4 I — I said, 'O Jehovah, favour me, Heal my soul, for I did sin against Thee,'
5 Mine enemies say evil of me: When he dieth — his name hath perished!
6 And if he came to see — vanity he speaketh, His heart gathereth iniquity to itself, He goeth out — at the street he speaketh.
7 All hating me whisper together against me, Against me they devise evil to me:
8 A thing of Belial is poured out on him, And because he lay down he riseth not again.
9 Even mine ally, in whom I trusted, One eating my bread, made great the heel against me,
10 And Thou, Jehovah, favour me, And cause me to rise, And I give recompence to them.
11 By this I have known, That Thou hast delighted in me, Because my enemy shouteth not over me.
