Psalms 40:2-3 in English

² He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

³ And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in Jehovah.

² Blessed is the man who thinks on the poor and needy: the Lord shall deliver him in an evil day.

³ May the Lord preserve him and keep him alive, and bless him on the earth, and not deliver him into the hands of his enemy.

² And He doth cause me to come up From a pit of desolation — from mire of mud, And He raiseth up on a rock my feet, He is establishing my steps.

³ And He putteth in my mouth a new song, 'Praise to our God.' Many do see and fear, and trust in Jehovah.
