¹⁴ Let them be put to shame and confounded together That seek after my soul to destroy it: Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor That delight in my hurt.

¹⁵ Let them be desolate by reason of their shame That say unto me, Aha, aha.

¹⁶ Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: Let such as love thy salvation say continually, Jehovah be magnified.

¹⁴ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. So be it, so be it.

¹⁴ Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

¹⁴ Humble those who are happy about my troubles, and cause them to be disgraced and ashamed. Chase away those who are trying to get rid of me.

¹⁵ I hope/desire that those who make fun of me will be dismayed when you defeat them.

¹⁶ But I hope that all those who go to worship you will be very joyful DOU. I want those who love you because you saved them to shout repeatedly, “Yahweh is great!”

¹⁶ Let all those who are looking for you be glad and have joy in you; let the lovers of your salvation ever say, May the Lord be great.

¹⁴ Blessed by the Lord the God of Israel from eternity to eternity. So be it. So be it.

¹⁴ Please defeat and humiliate the people who are trying to kill me; turn back in disgrace those who want to hurt me.

¹⁵ May they be shocked at their defeat, those who taunted me.

¹⁶ But may everyone who comes to you be happy and glad; may those who love your salvation always say, “The Lord is great!”

¹⁴ Let them be confounded and put to shame together, that seeke my soule to destroye it: let them be driuen backward and put to rebuke, that desire mine hurt.

¹⁵ Let them be destroyed for a rewarde of their shame, which say vnto me, Aha, aha.

¹⁶ Let all them, that seeke thee, reioyce and be glad in thee: and let them, that loue thy saluation, say alway, The Lord be praysed.

¹⁶ (40:17) But may all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee: may they say continually, The Lord be magnified,—those that love thy salvation.

¹⁶ But let all who seek thee Be glad and rejoice in thee! Let those who love thy protection Ever say, “Great is Jehovah!”

¹⁴ May those who are seeking my life be ashamed and confounded together; may those who delight in my hurt be defeated and brought to dishonour.

¹⁵ May those who hurrah over me be dumbfounded because of their shame.

¹⁶ But may all who seek after you rejoice and be glad in you. May all those eager for your aid, say, “Great is the Lord” evermore.

¹⁴ May those who are seeking my life be ashamed and confounded together; may those who delight in my hurt be defeated and brought to dishonor.

¹⁵ May those who hurrah over me be dumbfounded because of their shame.

¹⁴ Be they shamed, and ashamed together; that seek my life, to take away it. Be they turned aback, and be they shamed/and be they ashamed; that will evils to me. ¹⁵ Bear they their confusion anon; that say to me, Well! well! in scorn. (Bear they their own shame at once or Be they ashamed at once; who (scornfully) say to me, Well! well!)

¹⁶ All men that seek thee, be fully joyful, and be glad in thee; and say they, that love thine health, The Lord be magnified evermore. (But let all those who seek thee, be very joyful, and be glad in thee; and let those who love thy salvation, or thy deliverance, say forevermore, The Lord be magnified.)

¹⁴ They are ashamed and confounded together, Who are seeking my soul to destroy it, They are turned backward, And are ashamed, who are desiring my evil.

¹⁵ They are desolate because of their shame, Who are saying to me, 'Aha, aha.'

¹⁶ All seeking Thee rejoice and are glad in Thee, Those loving Thy salvation say continually, 'Jehovah is magnified.'
