¹³ Be pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me: Make haste to help me, O Jehovah.

¹⁴ Let them be put to shame and confounded together That seek after my soul to destroy it: Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor That delight in my hurt.

¹⁵ Let them be desolate by reason of their shame That say unto me, Aha, aha.

¹⁶ Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: Let such as love thy salvation say continually, Jehovah be magnified.

¹⁷ But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinketh upon me: Thou art my help and my deliverer; Make no tarrying, O my God.

¹³ But thou didst help me because of mine innocence, and hast established me before thee for ever.

¹⁴ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. So be it, so be it.

¹³ O Yahweh, please save me! Come quickly to help me!

¹⁴ Humble those who are happy about my troubles, and cause them to be disgraced and ashamed. Chase away those who are trying to get rid of me.

¹⁵ I hope/desire that those who make fun of me will be dismayed when you defeat them.

¹⁶ But I hope that all those who go to worship you will be very joyful DOU. I want those who love you because you saved them to shout repeatedly, “Yahweh is great!”

¹⁷ As for me, I am poor and needy DOU; but I know that Yahweh has not forgotten me. O my God, you are the one who saves and helps me, so please come quickly and help me!

¹⁵ Let those who say to me, Aha, aha! be surprised because of their shame.

¹⁶ Let all those who are looking for you be glad and have joy in you; let the lovers of your salvation ever say, May the Lord be great.

¹⁷ Though I am poor and in need, the Lord has me in mind; you are my help and my saviour; let there be no waiting, O my God.

¹³ Be pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me; Jehovah, make haste to my help.

¹⁴ Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be turned backward and confounded that take pleasure in mine adversity;

¹⁵ Let them be desolate, because of their shame, that say unto me, Aha! Aha!

¹⁶ Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee; let such as love thy salvation say continually, Jehovah be magnified!

¹⁷ But I am afflicted and needy: the Lord thinketh upon me. Thou art my help and my deliverer: my God, make no delay.

¹³ But thou hast upheld me by reason of my innocence: and hast established me in thy sight for ever.

¹⁴ Blessed by the Lord the God of Israel from eternity to eternity. So be it. So be it.

¹³ Lord, please save me! Hurry, Lord, help me!

¹⁴ Please defeat and humiliate the people who are trying to kill me; turn back in disgrace those who want to hurt me.

¹⁵ May they be shocked at their defeat, those who taunted me.

¹⁶ But may everyone who comes to you be happy and glad; may those who love your salvation always say, “The Lord is great!”

¹⁷ As for me, I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. Help me! Save me! My God, please don't wait!

¹³ Let it please thee, O Lord, to deliuer mee: make haste, O Lord, to helpe me.

¹⁴ Let them be confounded and put to shame together, that seeke my soule to destroye it: let them be driuen backward and put to rebuke, that desire mine hurt.

¹⁵ Let them be destroyed for a rewarde of their shame, which say vnto me, Aha, aha.

¹⁶ Let all them, that seeke thee, reioyce and be glad in thee: and let them, that loue thy saluation, say alway, The Lord be praysed.

¹⁷ Though I be poore and needie, the Lord thinketh on mee: thou art mine helper and my deliuerer: my God, make no tarying.

¹³ (40-14) Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me; O LORD, make haste to help me.

¹⁴ (40-15) Let them be ashamed and abashed together that seek after my soul to sweep it away; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that delight in my hurt.

¹⁵ (40-16) Let them be appalled by reason of their shame that say unto me: 'Aha, aha.'

¹⁶ (40-17) Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee; let such as love Thy salvation say continually: 'The LORD be magnified.'

¹⁷ (40-18) But, as for me, that am poor and needy, the Lord will account it unto me; Thou art my help and my deliverer; O my God, tarry not.

¹⁴ (40:15) May those be made ashamed and put to the blush together that seek after my soul to take her away: let them be driven backward and be confounded, that wish for my mishap.

¹⁵ (40:16) May they be astonished in consequence of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha!

¹⁶ (40:17) But may all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee: may they say continually, The Lord be magnified,—those that love thy salvation.

¹⁷ (40:18) But though I be poor and needy, the Lord will think of me: my help and my deliverer art thou: O my God, delay not.

¹³ But thou didst help me because of mine innocence, And hast established me before thee forever.

¹⁴ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. So be it, so be it.

¹³ May it please thee, O LORD! to deliver me! O LORD! make haste to mine aid!

¹⁴ May they all be confounded and covered with shame Who seek to take away my life! Let them be driven back with disgrace Who desire to do me injury!

¹⁵ Let them be overwhelmed with confusion Who cry out to me, Aha! aha!

¹⁶ But let all who seek thee Be glad and rejoice in thee! Let those who love thy protection Ever say, “Great is Jehovah!”

¹⁷ I am poor and afflicted, yet the Lord thinketh upon me; Thou art my help and my deliverer; My God! make no delay!

¹³ O Lord, be pleased to deliver me, haste to my help, O Lord.

¹⁴ May those who are seeking my life be ashamed and confounded together; may those who delight in my hurt be defeated and brought to dishonour.

¹⁵ May those who hurrah over me be dumbfounded because of their shame.

¹⁶ But may all who seek after you rejoice and be glad in you. May all those eager for your aid, say, “Great is the Lord” evermore.

¹⁶ But may all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let everyone who loves your salvation say continually, “May Yahweh be praised.”

¹⁶ All men that seek thee, be fully joyful or full out joy, and be glad in thee; and say they, that love thine health, The Lord be magnified ever-more.

¹⁷ Forsooth I am a beggar and poor; the Lord is busy of me. Thou art mine helper and my defender; my God, tarry thou not.

¹³ Lord, please it to thee, that thou deliver me; Lord, behold thou to help me. (Lord, may it please thee to save me; Lord, look thou to help me.)

¹⁴ Be they shamed, and ashamed together; that seek my life, to take away it. Be they turned aback, and be they shamed/and be they ashamed; that will evils to me. (Be they shamed, and ashamed; all who seek to take my life. Be they turned back, and be shamed or and be ashamed; all who desire evil for me.)

¹⁵ Bear they their confusion anon; that say to me, Well! well! in scorn. (Bear they their own shame at once or Be they ashamed at once; who (scornfully) say to me, Well! well!)

¹⁶ All men that seek thee, be fully joyful, and be glad in thee; and say they, that love thine health, The Lord be magnified evermore. (But let all those who seek thee, be very joyful, and be glad in thee; and let those who love thy salvation, or thy deliverance, say forevermore, The Lord be magnified.)

¹⁷ Forsooth I am a beggar and poor; the Lord is busy of me, (or But I am a poor and needy man, yea, a beggar; Lord, help thou me). Thou art mine helper and my defender; my God, tarry thou not.

¹³ Be pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me, O Jehovah, for my help make haste.

¹⁴ They are ashamed and confounded together, Who are seeking my soul to destroy it, They are turned backward, And are ashamed, who are desiring my evil.

¹⁵ They are desolate because of their shame, Who are saying to me, 'Aha, aha.'

¹⁶ All seeking Thee rejoice and are glad in Thee, Those loving Thy salvation say continually, 'Jehovah is magnified.'

¹⁷ And I am poor and needy, The Lord doth devise for me. My help and my deliverer art Thou, O my God, tarry Thou not.
