¹ For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for Jehovah; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

² He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

¹ For the end, a Psalm of David.

² Blessed is the man who thinks on the poor and needy: the Lord shall deliver him in an evil day.

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

² May the Lord preserve him and keep him alive, and bless him on the earth, and not deliver him into the hands of his enemy.

² When I had many troubles, it was as though I was in a deep pit. But he lifted me up out of the mud and slime of that pit; he set my feet on a solid rock, and enabled me to walk ◄safely/without falling►.

² And He doth cause me to come up From a pit of desolation — from mire of mud, And He raiseth up on a rock my feet, He is establishing my steps.
