³ But thou, O Jehovah, art a shield about me; My glory, and the lifter up of my head.

⁴ I cry unto Jehovah with my voice, And he answereth me out of his holy hill. Selah

⁵ I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for Jehovah sustaineth me.

⁶ I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people That have set themselves against me round about.

⁷ Arise, O Jehovah; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.

³ Many say concerning my soul, There is no deliverance for him in his God. Pause.

⁴ But thou, O Lord, art my helper: my glory, and the one that lifts up my head.

⁵ I cried to the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy mountain. Pause.

⁶ I lay down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord will help me.

⁷ I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, who beset me round about.

³ But Yahweh, you are like a shield that protects me MET. You greatly honor me, and you encourage me (OR, enable me to triumph over my enemies) IDM.

⁴ I cry out to you, Yahweh, and you answer me from Zion, your sacred hill.

⁵ At night I lie down and sleep, and I awake in the morning feeling good/refreshed because you, Yahweh, ◄take care of/protect► me all during the night.

⁶ There may be thousands of enemy soldiers who surround me, but I am not afraid.

⁷ Yahweh, arise! My God, come and rescue me again! You insult my enemies by slapping them on their cheeks; when you strike them, you break their teeth, with the result that they cannot hurt anyone MET.

³ But you, O Lord, are my helper: my glory, and the one that lifts up my head.

⁶ I will have no fear, though ten thousand have come round me, putting themselves against me.

⁷ Come to me, Lord; keep me safe, O my God; for you have given all my haters blows on their face-bones; the teeth of the evil-doers have been broken by you.

³ But thou, Jehovah, art a shield about me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.

⁴ With my voice will I call to Jehovah, and he will answer me from the hill of his holiness. Selah.

⁵ I laid me down and slept; I awaked, for Jehovah sustaineth me.

⁶ I will not fear for myriads of the people that have set themselves against me round about.

⁷ Arise, Jehovah; save me, my God! For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheekbone, thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.

³ Many say to my soul: There is no salvation for him in his God.

⁴ But thou, O Lord art my protector, my glory, and the lifter up of my head.

⁵ I have cried to the Lord with my voice: and he hath heard me from his holy hill.

⁶ I have slept and taken my rest: and I have risen up, because the Lord hath protected me.

⁷ I will not fear thousands of the people, surrounding me: arise, O Lord; save me, O my God.

³ But you, Lord, are a shield protecting me. You give me victory; you hold my head high.

⁴ I cry out to the Lord for help, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Selah.

⁵ I lie down to sleep, and in the morning I wake up because the Lord takes care of me.

⁶ I'm not afraid of tens of thousands who surround me, people who are against me.

⁷ Stand up for me, Lord! Save me, my God! Hit all my enemies on the cheek; break the teeth of the wicked!

³ But thou Lord art a buckler for me: my glory, and the lifter vp of mine head.

⁴ I did call vnto the Lord with my voyce, and he heard me out of his holy mountaine. Selah.

⁵ I layed me downe and slept, and rose vp againe: for the Lord susteined me.

⁶ I will not be afrayde for ten thousand of the people, that should beset me round about.

⁷ O Lord, arise: helpe me, my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies vpon the cheeke bone: thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.

⁷ Arise, Lord: save me, my God, who strikes all my foes on the cheek, and shatters the teeth of the wicked.

³ But you, Lord, are shield about me, my glory, who lifts up my head.

⁶ I will not be afraid of the multitudes of people who have set themselves against me on every side.

⁷ Rise up, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you will hit all my enemies on the jaw; you will break the teeth of the wicked.

³ But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

⁴ I cry to Yahweh with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

⁶ I shall not dread thousands of people encompassing me;

⁷ Lord, arise thou; my God, make me safe. For thou hast smitten all men being adversaries to me without cause; thou hast all-broken the teeth of sinners.

³ But thou, Lord, art mine up-taker; my glory, and enhancing mine head. (But thou, Lord, art my defender; my glory, and the one who lifteth up my head.)

⁴ With my voice I cried to the Lord; and he heard me from his holy hill. (I cried to the Lord with my voice; and he answered me from his holy hill.)

⁵ I slept, and rested, and I rose up; for the Lord received me (or for the Lord had protected me).

⁶ I shall not dread thousands of people (en)compassing me; (I shall not fear even thousands of people surrounding me;)

⁷ Lord, arise thou; my God, make me safe. For thou hast smitten all men being adversaries to me without cause; thou hast all-broken the teeth of sinners. (Lord, rise thou up; my God, save me. Thou hast struck down all who be my adversaries; thou hast broken all the teeth of the sinners.)

³ And Thou, O Jehovah, art a shield for me, My honour, and lifter up of my head.

⁴ My voice is unto Jehovah: I call: And He answereth me from his holy hill, Selah.

⁵ I — I have lain down, and I sleep, I have waked, for Jehovah sustaineth me.

⁶ I am not afraid of myriads of people, That round about they have set against me.

⁷ Rise, O Jehovah! save me, my God. Because Thou hast smitten All mine enemies on the cheek. The teeth of the wicked Thou hast broken.
