⁷ And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee.

⁸ Deliver me from all my transgressions: Make me not the reproach of the foolish.

⁹ I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; Because thou didst it.

¹⁰ Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thy hand.

¹¹ When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, Thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: Surely every man is vanity. Selah

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry; Hold not thy peace at my tears: For I am a stranger with thee, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.

⁷ Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not; but a body hast thou prepared me: whole-burnt-offering and sacrifice for sin thou didst not require.

⁸ Then I said, Behold, I come: in the volume of the book it is written concerning me,

⁹ I desired to do thy will, O my God, and thy law in the midst of mine heart.

¹⁰ I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; lo! I will not refrain my lips; O Lord, thou knowest my righteousness.

¹¹ I have not hid thy truth within my heart, and I have declared thy salvation; I have not hid thy mercy and thy truth from the great congregation.

¹² But thou, Lord, remove not thy compassion far from me; thy mercy and thy truth have helped me continually.

⁷ And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

¹² For innumerable evils have encompassed me; my transgressions have taken hold of me, and I could not see; they are multiplied more than the hairs of my head; and my heart has failed me.

⁷ And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

⁸ Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

⁷ So now, Yahweh, if I expect RHQ to receive blessings from other people, I will be disappointed. You are the only one from whom I confidently expect to receive blessings.

⁸ Save me from being punished for all the sins that I have committed. And do not allow foolish people to make fun of me.

⁹ I did not say anything when you punished me, because I knew that you were the one who caused me to suffer.

¹⁰ But now, please stop punishing me! If you do not do that, I am about to die because of the ways that you SYN have struck/afflicted me.

¹¹ When you rebuke someone and punish him for the sin that he has committed, you destroy the things that ◄he loves/are precious to him►, like moths' larva destroy clothing. Our lives disappear like a puff of wind.

¹² Yahweh, listen to me while I pray; pay attention to me while I cry out to you. Help me while I am crying. I am here on the earth for only a short time, like all my ancestors.

⁹ I was quiet, and kept my mouth shut; because you had done it.

¹⁰ No longer let your hand be hard on me; I am wasted by the blows of your hand.

¹¹ By the weight of your wrath against man's sin, the glory of his form is wasted away; truly every man is but a breath. (Selah.)

¹² Let my prayer come to your ears, O Lord, and give attention to my cry, make an answer to my weeping: for my time here is short before you, and in a little time I will be gone, like all my fathers.

⁷ Sacrifice and oblation thou didst not desire; but thou hast pierced ears for me. Burnt offering and sin offering thou didst not require:

⁸ Then said I, Behold I come. In the head of the book it is written of me

⁹ That I should do thy will: O my God, I have desired it, and thy law in the midst of my heart.

¹⁰ I have declared thy justice in a great church, lo, I will not restrain my lips: O Lord, thou knowest it.

¹¹ I have not hid thy justice within my heart: I have declared thy truth and thy salvation. I have not concealed thy mercy and thy truth from a great council.

¹² Withhold not thou, O Lord, thy tender mercies from me: thy mercy and thy truth have always upheld me.

⁷ So Lord, what am I looking for? I put my hope in you.

⁸ Save me from my rebellion. Don't let me be mocked by fools.

⁹ I will stay quiet, I won't say a word, for it's you who has done this to me.

¹⁰ Please stop hitting me! Your beating has worn me out!

¹¹ When you discipline us, reprimanding us for our sins, it's like a moth eating up what is precious to us. All of us are just a breath… Selah.

¹² Please hear my prayer, Lord! Listen to my cry for help! Don't be deaf to my weeping. Please treat me as your guest, passing through, just like my forefathers.

⁷ And now Lord, what wait I for? mine hope is euen in thee.

⁸ Deliuer me from all my transgressions, and make me not a rebuke vnto the foolish.

⁹ I should haue bene dumme, and not haue opened my mouth, because thou didest it.

¹⁰ Take thy plague away from mee: for I am consumed by the stroke of thine hand.

¹¹ When thou with rebukes doest chastise man for iniquitie, thou as a mothe makest his beautie to consume: surely euery man is vanitie. Selah.

¹² Heare my prayer, O Lord, and hearken vnto my cry: keepe not silence at my teares, for I am a strager with thee, and a soiourner as all my fathers.

⁷ (39-8) And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope, it is in Thee.

⁸ (39-9) Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the base.

⁹ (39-10) I am dumb, I open not my mouth; because Thou hast done it.

¹⁰ (39-11) Remove Thy stroke from off me; I am consumed by the blow of Thy hand.

¹¹ (39-12) With rebukes dost Thou chasten man for iniquity, and like a moth Thou makest his beauty to consume away; surely every man is vanity. Selah

¹² (39-13) Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; keep not silence at my tears; for I am a stranger with Thee, a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

⁹ (39:10) I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou hadst done it.

¹⁰ (39:11) Remove thou thy plague away from me: from the blows of thy hand am I consumed.

¹¹ (39:12) When thou with corrections chastisest man for iniquity, thou causest his excellence to melt away as if eaten by the moth: yea, nothing but vanity is every man. Selah.

¹² (39:13) Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; be not silent at my tears; for a stranger am I with thee, a sojourner, like all my fathers.

¹⁰ But remove from me thine infliction; For I am perishing by the blow of thine hand.

¹¹ When thou with rebukes dost chasten man for iniquity, Thou causest his glory to waste away like a moth! Surely every man is vanity.

¹² Hear my prayer, O LORD! Give ear to my cry; Be not silent at my tears! For I am but a stranger with thee, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.

¹² Hear my prayer, Yahweh, and listen to me; listen to my weeping! Do not be deaf to me, for I am like a foreigner with you, a refugee like all my ancestors were.

⁹ I was dumb, and opened not my mouth; for thou hast made this happen,

¹⁰ remove thou thy wounds from me. From the strength of thine hand I failed in blamings;

¹¹ for wickedness thou hast chastised a man. And thou madest his life to fail as a spider; nevertheless each man is troubled in vain.

¹² Lord, hear thou my prayer, and my beseeching; perceive thou with ears my tears. Be thou not still, for I am a comeling with thee; and a pilgrim, as all my fathers.

⁷ And now which is mine abiding? whether not the Lord? and my substance is at thee. (And now, who do I wait for? is it not for the Lord? for my hope is in thee.)

⁸ Deliver thou me from all my wickednesses; thou hast given me (as a) shame to the unknowing. (Rescue thou me or Save thou me from all of my wickednesses; thou hast made me a shame, or a reproach, to the ignorant.)

⁹ I was dumb, and opened not my mouth; for thou hast made (this happen), (But I was dumb, and did not open my mouth; for thou hast done this.)

¹⁰ remove thou thy wounds from me. From the strength of thine hand I failed in blamings; (Cease thou from wounding me; for I am failing from the strokes of thy hand.)

¹¹ for wickedness thou hast chastised a man. And thou madest his life to fail as a spider; nevertheless each man is troubled in vain. (For when thou hast chastised someone for wickedness, thou hast destroyed his life; yea, like a moth that eateth up a piece of cloth. Nevertheless, each person is troubled over nothing anyway, for his life is nothing but emptiness.)

¹² Lord, hear thou my prayer, and my beseeching; perceive thou with ears my tears. Be thou not still, for I am a comeling with thee; and a pilgrim, as all my fathers. (Lord, hear thou my prayer; and listen to my plea. Be thou not silent before my tears, for I am but a newcomer, or a visitor, here with thee; yea, a pilgrim, like all my forefathers were before me.)

⁷ And, now, what have I expected? O Lord, my hope — it is of Thee.

⁸ From all my transgressions deliver me, A reproach of the fool make me not.

⁹ I have been dumb, I open not my mouth, Because Thou — Thou hast done it.

¹⁰ Turn aside from off me Thy stroke, From the striving of Thy hand I have been consumed.

¹¹ With reproofs against iniquity, Thou hast corrected man, And dost waste as a moth his desirableness, Only, vanity is every man. Selah.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, And to my cry give ear, Unto my tear be not silent, For a sojourner I am with Thee, A settler like all my fathers.
