⁹ Lord, all my desire is before thee; And my groaning is not hid from thee.

¹⁰ My heart throbbeth, my strength faileth me: As for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

¹¹ My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand afar off.

¹² They also that seek after my life lay snares for me; And they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, And meditate deceits all the day long.

⁹ Deliver me from all my transgressions: thou hast made me a reproach to the foolish.

¹⁰ I was dumb, and opened not my mouth; for thou art he that made me.

¹¹ Remove thy scourges from me: I have fainted by reason of the strength of thine hand.

¹² Thou chastenest man with rebukes for iniquity, and thou makest his life to consume away like a spider's web: nay, every man is disquieted in vain. Pause.

¹² O Lord, listen to my prayer and my supplication: attend to my tears: be not silent, for I am a sojourner in the land, and a stranger, as all my fathers were.

⁹ Yahweh, you know that I desire to be healed; you hear me while I am groaning.

¹⁰ My heat is pounding heavily, and all my strength is gone. I am no longer able to see well.

¹¹ My friends and neighbors stay away from me because of my sores; even my own family stays away from me.

¹² And those who want to kill me set traps to catch me; those who want to harm me discuss ways to get rid of me; they plot against me all day.

⁹ I was dumb, and opened not my mouth; for you are he that made me.

¹⁰ Remove your scourges from me: I have fainted by reason of the strength of your hand.

¹¹ You chasten man with rebukes for iniquity, and you make his life to consume away like a spider's web; nay, every man is disquieted in vain. Pause.

¹¹ My lovers and my friends keep away from my disease; my relations keep far away.

¹² Those who have a desire to take my life put nets for me; those who are designing my destruction say evil things against me, all the day their minds are full of deceit.

⁹ Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my sighing is not hid from thee.

¹⁰ My heart throbbeth, my strength hath left me; and the light of mine eyes, it also is no more with me.

¹¹ My lovers and mine associates stand aloof from my stroke; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

¹² And they that seek after my life lay snares for me; and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all the day long.

⁹ Deliver thou me from all my iniquities: thou hast made me a reproach to the fool.

¹⁰ I was dumb, and I opened not my mouth, because thou hast done it.

¹¹ Remove thy scourges from me. The strength of thy hand hath made me faint in rebukes:

¹² Thou hast corrected man for iniquity. And thou hast made his soul to waste away like a spider: surely in vain is any man disquieted.

⁹ Lord, you know what I desperately want, you hear every sigh I make.

¹⁰ My heart is racing, leaving me with no strength; my eyesight is failing.

¹¹ My loved ones and my friends don't come near me because they're afraid of what I've got. Even my family keeps me at a distance.

¹² Those who are trying to kill me set traps for me; those who want to hurt me make threats against me, working on their deceitful schemes all day long.

⁹ Lord, I powre my whole desire before thee, and my sighing is not hid from thee.

¹⁰ Mine heart panteth: my strength faileth me, and the light of mine eyes, euen they are not mine owne.

¹¹ My louers and my friends stand aside from my plague, and my kinsmen stand a farre off.

¹² They also, that seeke after my life, laye snares, and they that go about to do me euil, talke wicked things and imagine deceite continually.

⁹ (38-10) Lord, all my desire is before Thee; and my sighing is not hid from Thee.

¹⁰ (38-11) My heart fluttereth, my strength faileth me; as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

¹¹ (38-12) My friends and my companions stand aloof from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

¹² (38-13) They also that seek after my life lay snares for me; and they that seek my hurt speak crafty devices, and utter deceits all the day.

⁹ Lord, all my desire is before thee; And my groaning is not hid from thee.

¹⁰ My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: As for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

¹¹ My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; And my kinsmen stand afar off.

⁹ (38:10) Lord, before thee is all my longing; and my sighing is from thee not hidden.

¹⁰ (38:11) My heart is restless, my strength hath left me; and the light of my eyes—that also is no more with me.

¹¹ (38:12) My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

¹² (38:13) They also that seek after my life lay snares; and they that wish for my mishap speak wicked falsehoods; and deceits do they devise all the day long.

¹² While they who seek my life lay snares for me; They who seek my hurt threaten destruction, And meditate deceit all the day long.

⁹ Lord, you know all that I long for, my groans are not hidden from you.

¹⁰ My heart is throbbing, my strength has failed me. The light of my eyes— even it is gone from me.

¹¹ My dear ones and friends keep aloof, and my neighbours stand afar off.

¹² They who aim at my life lay their snares, they who seek my hurt speak of ruin, nursing treachery all the day long.

⁹ Lord, you know all that I long for, my groans are not hidden from you.

¹⁰ My heart is throbbing, my strength has failed me. The light of my eyes— even it is gone from me.

¹¹ My dear ones and friends keep aloof, and my neighbors stand afar off.

¹² They who aim at my life lay their snares, they who seek my hurt speak of ruin, nursing treachery all the day long.

⁹ Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.

¹⁰ My heart throbs. My strength fails me. As for the light of my eyes, it has also left me.

¹¹ My 'ahav ·affectionate lovers· and my friends stand aloof from my plague. My kinsmen stand far away.

¹² They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long.

⁹ Lord, you understand my heart's deepest yearnings, and my groanings are not hidden from you.

¹⁰ My heart pounds, my strength fades, and my eyesight dims.

¹¹ My friends and companions shun me because of my condition; my neighbors stand far off.

¹² Those who seek my life lay snares for me. They who seek my harm speak destructive words and say deceitful words all day long.

¹⁰ Mine heart is troubled in me, my virtue forsook me; and the light of mine eyes, and it is not with me.

¹¹ My friends and my neighbours nighed; and stood against me. And they that were beside me stood afar;

¹² and they did violence, that sought my life. And they that sought evils to me, spake vanities; and thought guiles or treacheries all day.

⁹ Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my wailing is not hid from thee.

¹⁰ Mine heart is troubled in me, my virtue forsook me; and the light of mine eyes, and it is not with me. (My heart is troubled within me, my strength deserted me; and the light in my eyes, it hath also left me.)

¹¹ My friends and my neighbours nighed; and stood (over) against me. And they that were beside me stood afar; (My friends and my neighbours stand far away from me; because of my sickness, or my sores. And even my family members stand far away from me;)

¹² and they did violence, that sought my life. And they that sought evils to me, spake vanities; and thought guiles all day. (and they who sought my life, did violence to me. Yea, they who sought evil for me, spoke empty gossip; and they thought up lies and slander about me, all day long.)

⁹ Lord, before Thee is all my desire, And my sighing from Thee hath not been hid.

¹⁰ My heart is panting, my power hath forsaken me, And the light of mine eyes, Even they are not with me.

¹¹ My lovers and my friends over-against my plague stand. And my neighbours afar off have stood.

¹² And those seeking my soul lay a snare, And those seeking my evil Have spoken mischievous things, And they do deceits meditate all the day.
