Psalms 36:8-11 in English

⁸ They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; And thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

⁹ For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light.

¹⁰ Oh continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee, And thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

¹¹ Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

⁸ Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself so as to do evil.

⁹ For evil-doers shall be destroyed: but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.

¹⁰ And yet a little while, and the sinner shall not be, and thou shalt seek for his place, and shalt not find it.

¹¹ But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

⁸ They gain strength from the wonderful food you provide in your house; you give them drink from your refreshing river.

⁹ You are the source of life; you are the light by which we see.

¹⁰ Extend your trustworthy love to those who know you, and your goodness to those who truly live right.

¹¹ Don't let the arrogant trample me down; don't let the wicked drive me out.

⁸ They shall be satisfied with the fatnesse of thine house, and thou shalt giue them drinke out of the riuer of thy pleasures.

⁹ For with thee is the well of life, and in thy light shall we see light.

¹⁰ Extend thy louing kindnes vnto them that knowe thee, and thy righteousnesse vnto them that are vpright in heart.

¹¹ Let not ye foote of pride come against me, and let not the hand of ye wicked men moue me.

¹¹ (36:12) Let not come against me the foot of pride, and let not the hand of the wicked chase me off.

¹⁰ O continue your grace to the faithful, your love to the upright in heart.

¹¹ Let no arrogant foot tread upon me, no wicked hand drive me to exile.

¹⁰ Lord, set forth thy mercy to them that know thee; and thy rightfulness or rightwiseness to them that be of rightful or right heart.

¹¹ The foot of pride come not to me; and the hand of the sinner move me not.

⁸ They shall be (ful)filled greatly of the plenty of thine house; and thou shalt give drink to them of the stiff stream of thy liking. (They shall be filled from the rich plenty of thy House; and thou shalt give drink to them out of the flowing stream of thy delights, or of thy goodness.)

⁹ For the well of life is with thee; and in thy light we shall see light.

¹⁰ Lord, set forth thy mercy to them that know thee; and thy rightfulness to them that be of rightful heart. (Lord, continue to show thy love to those who know thee; and thy righteousness to those who have an upright heart.)

¹¹ The foot of pride come not to me; and the hand of the sinner move me not. (Let not the foot of pride come against me; nor let the hand of the sinner upset me.)

⁸ They are filled from the fatness of Thy house, And the stream of Thy delights Thou dost cause them to drink.

¹⁰ Draw out Thy kindness to those knowing Thee, And Thy righteousness to the upright of heart.
