¹ For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of Jehovah. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

² For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found out and be hated.

³ The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath ceased to be wise and to do good.

⁴ He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

⁵ Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, is in the heavens; Thy faithfulness reacheth unto the skies.

⁶ Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; Thy judgments are a great deep: O Jehovah, thou preservest man and beast.

² For they shall soon be withered as the grass, and shall soon fall away as the green herbs.

³ Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and thou shalt be fed with the wealth of it.

⁴ Delight thyself in the Lord; and he shall grant thee the requests of thine heart.

⁵ Disclose thy way to the Lord, and hope in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

⁶ And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noon-day.

¹ Wicked people continually desire to sin. They consider IDM that they do not need to revere God.

² Because they are very proud, they do not think that God will discover their sins and condemn them (OR, they do not think about their sins and hate themselves for it).

³ Everything that they say is deceitful and full of lies; they no longer do what is good and are no longer wise.

⁴ While they are lying on their beds, they plan to do things to harm others; they are determined to do things that are not good, and they never refuse to do what is evil.

⁵ Yahweh, your faithful love for us reaches as high as the heavens, you faithfully do what you have promised; it is as though your doing that extends up to the clouds.

⁶ Your righteous behavior is as permanent as the highest mountains MET, your acting justly will continue as long as the deepest oceans exist. You take care of people and you take care of animals.

⁴ He gives thought to evil on his bed; he takes a way which is not good; he is not a hater of evil.

⁵ Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens, and your strong purpose is as high as the clouds.

⁶ Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judging is like the great deep; O Lord, you give life to man and beast.

¹ A psalm for David himself. Be not emulous of evildoers; nor envy them that work iniquity.

² For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall.

³ Trust in the Lord, and do good, and dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed with its riches.

⁴ Delight in the Lord, and he will give thee the requests of thy heart.

⁵ Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it.

⁶ And he will bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

¹ For the music director. A psalm of David, servant of the Lord. Evil speaks to the wicked, deep down in their minds, for in their eyes they have no need to respect God.

² In their own eyes they're so wonderful that they can't even see their sin and do something about it.

³ Whatever they say is deceptive and deceitful. They no longer do anything wisely or for good.

⁴ Even when they're lying in bed they think up evil schemes. They commit themselves to a way of life that is no good. They choose evil, and don't reject it.

⁵ Lord, your faithful love reaches to the heavens, your trustworthiness to the clouds.

⁶ Your goodness is like the highest mountains, your fairness is like the deepest oceans. Lord, you save both the people and the animals.

¹ To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid, the servant of the Lord. Wickedness sayeth to the wicked man, euen in mine heart, that there is no feare of God before his eyes.

² For hee flattereth himselfe in his owne eyes, while his iniquitie is foud worthy to be hated.

³ The wordes of his mouth are iniquitie and deceit: hee hath left off to vnderstand and to doe good.

⁴ Hee imagineth mischiefe vpon his bed: he setteth himselfe vpon a way, that is not good, and doeth not abhorre euill.

⁴ (36:5) He deviseth wickedness upon his couch; he placeth himself on a way that is not good; evil he despiseth not.

⁵ (36:6) O Lord, into the heavens reacheth thy kindness, thy faithfulness even into the skies.

⁶ (36:7) Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy acts of justice like the great deep: man and beast dost thou ever help, O Lord.

⁶ Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; Thy judgments are a great deep; Thou, O LORD! preservest man and beast!

⁴ He thought wickedness in his bed; he stood nigh all ways not good; forsooth he hated not malice.

⁶ Thy rightfulness or rightwiseness is as the hills of God; thy dooms be as much depth of waters. Lord, thou shalt save men and beasts;

¹ To the Overseer. — By a servant of Jehovah, by David. The transgression of the wicked Is affirming within my heart, 'Fear of God is not before his eyes,

² For he made it smooth to himself in his eyes, To find his iniquity to be hated.

³ The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit, He ceased to act prudently — to do good.

⁴ Iniquity he deviseth on his bed, He stationeth himself on a way not good, Evil he doth not refuse.'

⁵ O Jehovah, in the heavens is Thy kindness, Thy faithfulness is unto the clouds.

⁶ Thy righteousness is as mountains of God, Thy judgments are a great deep. Man and beast Thou savest, O Jehovah.
