²⁰ For they speak not peace; But they devise deceitful words against them that are quiet in the land.

²¹ Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me; They said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

²² Thou hast seen it, O Jehovah; keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

²³ Stir up thyself, and awake to the justice due unto me, Even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

²⁴ Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.

²⁵ Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it: Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

²⁰ They do not talk peacefully to people; instead, they seek ways to tell lies about people who are peaceful.

²¹ They shout at me, to accuse me, saying, “We saw the wrong things that you did!”

²² Yahweh, you have seen these things, so do not be silent! Do not stay far from me!

²³ Arise, my God, and plead my case in court, and successfully defend me!

²⁴ Yahweh, my God, because you are righteous, prove that I am innocent in order that my enemies will not be able to gloat that I was judged to be guilty.

²⁵ Do not allow them to be able to say to themselves, “Yes, we have gotten rid of him IDM just like we desired!”

²¹ Their mouths were open wide against me, and they said, Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it.

²² You have seen this, O Lord; be not unmoved: O Lord, be not far from me.

²³ Be awake, O Lord, be moved to take up my cause, my God and my Lord.

²⁴ Be my judge, O Lord my God, in your righteousness; do not let them be glad over me.

²⁵ Let them not say in their hearts, So we will have it: let them not say, We have put an end to him.

²⁰ For they speak not peace; and they devise deceitful words against the quiet in the land.

²⁴ Judge me, Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me.

²⁵ Let them not say in their heart, Aha! so would we have it. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

²⁰ They are not looking for peace; they invent malicious and deceptive schemes against innocent peace-loving people.

²¹ They open their mouths wide to make accusations against me, saying, “Look! Look! We saw it with our own eyes!”

²² But Lord, you've seen all this! Say something! Don't give up on me, Lord!

²³ Wake up! Get up and defend me, my Lord and my God! Take up my case and make sure justice is done!

²⁴ Vindicate me, my Lord and my God, because you are just and right. Don't let them gloat over me.

²⁵ Don't let them say to themselves, “Look! We got what we wanted!” Don't let them say, “We completely destroyed him!”

²⁰ For they speake not as friendes: but they imagine deceitfull woordes against the quiet of the lande.

²¹ And they gaped on mee with their mouthes, saying, Aha, aha, our eye hath seene.

²² Thou hast seene it, O Lord: keepe not silence: be not farre from me, O Lord.

²³ Arise and wake to my iudgement, euen to my cause, my God, and my Lord.

²⁴ Iudge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousnesse, and let them not reioyce ouer mee.

²⁵ Let them not say in their hearts, O our soule reioyce: neither let them say, We haue deuoured him.

²⁰ For they speak not peace; but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

²⁵ Let them not say in their heart: 'Aha, we have our desire'; let them not say: 'We have swallowed him up.'

²² Thou seest it, O LORD! be not silent! O LORD! be not far from me!

²³ Arouse thyself; awake for my defence! My God and my Lord, awake to my cause!

²⁴ Judge me according to thy righteousness, O Jehovah, my God! Let them not triumph over me!

²⁵ Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha! we have our wish!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up!”

²⁰ For it is not peace that they speak of those who are quiet in the land; but treacherous charges they plot.

²¹ With wide open mouths they shout, “Hurrah! Hurrah! With our own eyes we saw it.”

²² But you have seen, too, O Lord, keep not silence, O Lord, be not far from me.

²³ Bestir you, awake, for my right my God, my Lord, for my cause.

²⁴ You are just, Lord: win for me justice, let them not rejoice over me,

²⁵ inwardly saying, “Hurrah! The desire of our hearts at last! Now we have swallowed him up.”

²⁰ For it is not peace that they speak of those who are quiet in the land; but treacherous charges they plot.

²⁵ Don’t let them say in their heart, “Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say, “We have swallowed him up!”

²⁰ For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those in our land who live in peace.

²¹ They open their mouths wide against me; they said, “Aha, Aha, our eyes have seen it.”

²² You have seen it, Yahweh, do not be silent; Lord, do not be far from me.

²³ Arouse yourself and awake to my defense; My God and my Lord, defend my cause.

²⁴ Defend me, Yahweh my God, because of your righteousness; do not let them rejoice over me.

²⁵ Do not let them say in their heart, “Aha, we have what we wanted.” Do not let them say, “We have devoured him.”

²⁰ For soothly they spake not peace-ably to me; and they speaking in wrath-fulness of the earth, thought guiles.

²¹ And they made large their mouth on me; they said, Well, well! our eyes have seen.

²² Lord, thou hast seen, be thou not still; Lord, depart thou not from me.

²³ Rise up, and give attention to my doom; my God and my Lord, behold into my cause.

²⁴ My Lord God, deem thou me by thy rightfulness or rightwiseness; and have they not joy on me.

²⁵ Say they not in their hearts, Well, well, to our soul; neither say they, We shall devour him.

²⁰ For soothly they spake (not) peaceably to me; and they speaking in wrathfulness of the earth, thought guiles. (For they do not speak peacefully; but they tell forth all kinds of lies, against those, who live quietly upon the earth.)

²¹ And they made large their mouth on me; they said, Well, well! our eyes have seen. (And they opened their mouths wide against me; and they said, Well, well! now our eyes have seen it all!)

²² Lord, thou hast seen, be thou not still; Lord, depart thou not from me. (Lord, thou hast seen all of this, so keep thou not silent; Lord, go thou not away from me.)

²³ Rise up, and give attention to my doom; my God and my Lord, behold into my cause. (Rise up, and give me justice; my God and my Lord, (please plead) my case!)

²⁴ My Lord God, deem thou me by thy rightfulness; and have they not joy on me. (My Lord God, judge thou me by thy righteousness; and do not let them have joy over me.)

²⁵ Say they not in their hearts, Well, well, to our soul; neither say they, We shall devour him. (Let them not say in their hearts, Well, well; nor let them say, We have devoured him!)

²⁰ For they speak not peace, And against the quiet of the land, Deceitful words they devise,

²¹ And they enlarge against me their mouth, They said, 'Aha, aha, our eye hath seen.'

²² Thou hast seen, O Jehovah, Be not silent, O Lord — be not far from me,

²³ Stir up, and wake to my judgment, My God, and my Lord, to my plea.

²⁴ Judge me according to Thy righteousness, O Jehovah my God, And they do not rejoice over me.

²⁵ They do not say in their heart, 'Aha, our desire.' They do not say, 'We swallowed him up.'
