¹⁰ All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, Who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, Yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him?

¹¹ Unrighteous witnesses rise up; They ask me of things that I know not.

¹² They reward me evil for good, To the bereaving of my soul.

¹³ But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; And my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

¹⁴ I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother.

¹⁵ But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: The abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; They did tear me, and ceased not:

¹⁶ Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed upon me with their teeth.

¹⁰ For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light we shall see light.

¹¹ Extend thy mercy to them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

¹² Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of sinners move me.

¹³ There have all the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast out, and shall not be able to stand.

¹⁰ With my whole inner being SYN I will say, “There is no one like Yahweh RHQ! No one else can rescue helpless people from powerful people RHQ. No one else can rescue weak and needy people from those who want to rob them.”

¹¹ People who tell lies stand in court and falsely accuse me of doing things that I do not know anything about.

¹² In return for my doing good things for them, they do evil things to me, with the result that I feel that I am alone.

¹³ When they were ill, I showed that I was sad. I did not eat any food, and I bowed my head as I prayed for them.

¹⁴ I mourned and bowed my head as I prayed as though it was a friend or my mother for whom I was grieving.

¹⁵ But when I had troubles, they were all happy about it. They gathered around to make fun of me. Strangers struck me, and they would not stop.

¹⁶ Worthless people ridicule me and snarl at me.

¹⁰ Extend your mercy to them that know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart.

¹¹ False witnesses got up: they put questions to me about crimes of which I had no knowledge.

¹² They gave me back evil for good, troubling my soul.

¹³ But as for me, when they were ill I put on the clothing of sorrow: I went without food and was sad, and my prayer came back again to my heart.

¹⁴ My behaviour was as if it had been my friend or my brother: I was bent low in grief like one whose mother is dead.

¹⁵ But they took pleasure in my trouble, and came together, yes, low persons came together against me without my knowledge; they never came to an end of wounding me.

¹⁶ Like men of deceit they put me to shame; the voice of their wrath was loud against me.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the afflicted from one stronger than he, yea, the afflicted and the needy from him that spoileth him!

¹¹ Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they lay to my charge things which I know not.

¹² They reward me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul.

¹³ But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I chastened my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom:

¹⁴ I behaved myself as though he had been a friend, a brother to me; I bowed down in sadness, as one that mourneth for a mother.

¹⁵ But at my halting they rejoiced, and gathered together: the slanderers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:

¹⁶ With profane jesters for bread, they have gnashed their teeth against me.

¹⁰ For with thee is the fountain of life; and in thy light we shall see light.

¹¹ Extend thy mercy to them that know thee, and thy justice to them that are right in heart.

¹⁰ Every part of me will say, Who can compare to you, Lord? You rescue the weak from the strong; the poor and needy from robbers.

¹¹ Hostile witnesses stand up to testify against me, accusing me of crimes I don't know anything about.

¹² They pay me back with evil instead of good. I feel like giving up.

¹³ But when they were sick, I put on clothes of sackcloth in sympathy. I denied myself through fasting. May my prayer for them return to bless me too.

¹⁴ I was upset for them, as if they were my own friends or family; I bowed down in grief as if I was mourning my own mother.

¹⁵ But when I was in trouble, they gathered around and laughed at me. Even strangers I don't know attacked me, constantly tearing me apart.

¹⁶ Like irreligious people mocking a cripple they mock me and call me names, gnashing their teeth at me.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like vnto thee, which deliuerest the poore from him, that is too strong for him! yea, the poore and him that is in miserie, from him that spoyleth him!

¹¹ Cruell witnesses did rise vp: they asked of me things that I knewe not.

¹² They rewarded me euill for good, to haue spoyled my soule.

¹³ Yet I, when they were sicke, I was clothed with a sacke: I humbled my soule with fasting: and my praier was turned vpon my bosome.

¹⁴ I behaued my selfe as to my friend, or as to my brother: I humbled my selfe, mourning as one that bewaileth his mother.

¹⁵ But in mine aduersitie they reioyced, and gathered them selues together: the abiects assembled themselues against me, and knewe not: they tare me and ceased not,

¹⁶ With the false skoffers at bankets, gnashing their teeth against me.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say: 'LORD, who is like unto Thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?'

¹⁴ I went about as though it had been my friend or my brother; I bowed down mournful, as one that mourneth for his mother.

¹⁶ With hypocritical babbling mockers, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

¹³ And yet I, during their sickness, clothed myself with sackcloth, And afflicted myself with fasting; And my prayer was turned to my bosom.

¹² Evil for good they requite me, leaving me inwardly comfortless.

¹³ But when they were sick, I put on sackcloth, and chastened myself with fasting. I prayed with head bowed low,

¹⁴ as if for my friend or my brother. I went about bowed and in mourning, as one who laments his mother.

¹⁵ When I stumbled, they gleefully gathered, strangers gathered around me, and tore at me without ceasing,

¹⁶ impiously mocking and mocking, bearing their teeth at me.

¹⁰ and all my being will say, “Who, O Lord, is like you, who save the helpless from those too strong for them, the poor and the helpless from those who despoil them?”

¹¹ Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they accuse me falsely.

¹² They repay me evil for good. I am sorrowful.

¹³ But, when they were sick, I wore sackcloth; I fasted for them with my head bowed on my chest.

¹⁴ I went about in grief as for my brother; I bent down in mourning as for my mother.

¹⁵ But when I stumbled, they rejoiced and gathered together; they gathered together against me, and I was surprised by them. They tore at me without stopping.

¹⁶ With no respect at all they mocked me; they grind their teeth at me in rage.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, “Yahweh, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”

¹¹ Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.

¹³ But when they were dis-easeful to me; I was clothed in an hair-shirt. I meeked my soul in fasting; and my prayer shall be turned into my bosom.

¹⁴ I pleased so as our neighbour, as our brother; I was made meek, so as mourning and sorrowful.

¹⁵ And they were glad, and came together against me; torments were gathered on me, and I knew it not. They were scattered, and not compunct;

¹⁶ they tempted me, they scorned me with mocking, they gnashed on me with their teeth.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like thee? Thou deliverest a poor man from the hand of his stronger; a needy man and poor from them that diversely ravish him. (All my bones said, Lord, who is like thee? Thou rescuest the poor from the hands of those who be stronger; yea, the poor and the needy from those who oppress them.)

¹¹ Wicked witnesses rising (up) asked me things, which I knew not.

¹² They yielded to me evils for goods; barrenness to my soul. (They gave me evil for good; making my soul barren.)

¹³ But when they were dis-easeful to me; I was clothed in an hair-shirt. I meeked my soul in fasting; and my prayer shall be turned (again) into my bosom. (But yet when they were sick; I was clothed in a hair-shirt. I humbled myself with fasting; and I prayed to the Lord for them.)

¹⁴ I pleased so as our neighbour, as our brother; I was made meek, so as mourning and sorrowful. (I went around, like he was my neighbour, or my brother; I was humbled, like one mourning and sorrowful for his own mother.)

¹⁵ And they were glad, and came together against me; torments were gathered on me, and I knew it not. They were scattered, and not compunct; (But when I was in torment, they were glad, and came together against me; yea, they were gathered together against me, and I knew not why. They tore me apart, and would not stop;)

¹⁶ they tempted me, they scorned me with mocking, they gnashed on me with their teeth.

¹⁰ All my bones say, 'Jehovah, who is like Thee, Delivering the poor from the stronger than he, And the poor and needy from his plunderer.'

¹¹ Violent witnesses rise up, That which I have not known they ask me.

¹² They pay me evil for good, bereaving my soul,

¹³ And I — in their sickness my clothing is sackcloth, I have humbled with fastings my soul, And my prayer unto my bosom returneth.

¹⁴ As if a friend, as if my brother, I walked habitually, As a mourner for a mother, Mourning I have bowed down.

¹⁵ And — in my halting they have rejoiced, And have been gathered together, Gathered against me were the smiters, And I have not known, They have rent, and they have not ceased;

¹⁶ With profane ones, mockers in feasts, Gnashing against me their teeth.
