Psalms 34:9-15 in English

⁹ Oh fear Jehovah, ye his saints; For there is no want to them that fear him.

¹⁰ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; But they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good thing.

¹¹ Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.

¹² What man is he that desireth life, And loveth many days, that he may see good?

¹³ Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.

¹⁴ Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁵ The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, And his ears are open unto their cry.

⁹ But my soul shall exult in the Lord: it shall delight in his salvation.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, O Lord, who is like to thee? delivering the poor out of the hand of them that are stronger than he, yea, the poor and needy one from them that spoil him.

¹¹ Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I knew not.

¹² They rewarded me evil for good, and bereavement to my soul.

¹³ But I, when they troubled me, put on sackcloth, and humbled my soul with fasting: and my prayer shall return to my own bosom.

¹⁴ I behaved agreeably towards them as if it had been our neighbour or brother: I humbled myself as one mourning and sad of countenance.

¹⁵ Yet they rejoiced against me, and plagues were plentifully brought against me, and I knew it not: they were scattered, but repented not.

⁹ All you who belong to him, revere him! Those who do that will always have the things that they need LIT.

¹⁰ Lions are usually very strong, but sometimes even young lions are hungry and become weak, but those who trust in Yahweh will ◄have everything/not lack any good thing► LIT that they need.

¹¹ You ◄who are my students/whom I teach►, come and listen to me, and I will teach you how to revere Yahweh.

¹² If RHQ any of you wants to enjoy life and have a good long life,

¹³ do not say anythoing that is evil! Do not tell lies!

¹⁴ Turn away from doing evil, and do what is good! Always try hard to enable people to live peacefully with each other.

¹⁵ Yahweh MTY carefully watches over those who act righteously; he always responds MTY to them when they call to him for help.

¹¹ Come, children, give attention to me; I will be your teacher in the fear of the Lord.

¹² What man has a love of life, and a desire that his days may be increased so that he may see good?

¹³ Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from words of deceit.

¹⁴ Be turned from evil, and do good; make a search for peace, desiring it with all your heart.

¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord are on the upright, and his ears are open to their cry.

⁹ Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.

¹⁰ The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.

¹¹ Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.

¹² What man is he that desireth life, and loveth days, that he may see good?

¹³ Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;

¹⁴ Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁵ The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;

⁹ But my soul shall rejoice in the Lord; and shall be delighted in his salvation.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say: Lord, who is like to thee? Who deliverest the poor from the hand of them that are stronger than he; the needy and the poor from them that strip him.

¹¹ Unjust witnesses rising up have asked me things I knew not.

¹² They repaid me evil for good: to the depriving me of my soul.

¹³ But as for me, when they were troublesome to me, I was clothed with haircloth. I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer shall be turned into my bosom.

¹⁴ As a neighbour and as an own brother, so did I please: as one mourning and sorrowful so was I humbled.

¹⁵ But they rejoiced against me, and came together: scourges were gathered together upon me, and I knew not.

⁹ Show your reverence for the Lord, you who are his holy people, for those who respect him have everything they need.

¹⁰ Lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who trust in the Lord have all that is good.

¹¹ Children, listen to me! I will teach you how to respect the Lord.

¹² Who of you wants to live a long and happy life?

¹³ Then don't let your tongue speak evil, or your lips tell lies.

¹⁴ Reject what is evil, do what is good. Look for peace, and work to make it a reality.

¹⁵ The Lord watches over those who do right, and he hears when they cry for help.

⁹ Feare the Lord, ye his Saintes: for nothing wanteth to them that feare him.

¹⁰ The lyons doe lacke and suffer hunger, but they, which seeke the Lord, shall want nothing that is good.

¹¹ Come children, hearken vnto me: I will teache you the feare of the Lord.

¹² What man is he, that desireth life, and loueth long dayes for to see good?

¹³ Keepe thy tongue from euill, and thy lips, that they speake no guile.

¹⁴ Eschewe euill and doe good: seeke peace and follow after it.

¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord are vpon the righteous, and his eares are open vnto their crie.

⁹ (34-10) O fear the LORD, ye His holy ones; for there is no want to them that fear Him.

¹⁰ (34-11) The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they that seek the LORD want not any good thing.

¹¹ (34-12) Come, ye children, hearken unto me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

¹² (34-13) Who is the man that desireth life, and loveth days, that he may see good therein?

¹³ (34-14) Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

¹⁴ (34-15) Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁵ (34-16) The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

¹⁵ (34:16) The eyes of the Lord are directed unto the righteous, and his ears unto their cry.

¹³ Guard well thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile!

¹⁴ Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it!

⁹ Fear the Lord, all his people, for they who fear him lack nothing.

¹⁰ Even young lions may be poor and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.

¹¹ Come, children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

¹¹ Come, you children, sh'ma ·hear obey· unto me. I will teach you the fear of Adonai .

¹² Who of you takes pleasure in living? Who 'ahav ·affectionately loves· a long life to see good things?

¹³ If you do, keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from deceiving talk;

¹⁴ turn from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and fervently pursue it!

¹⁵ For Adonai ’s eyes are toward the upright. His ears listen to their prayers.

⁹ Fear Yahweh, you his holy people. There is no lack for those who fear him.

¹⁰ The young lions sometimes lack food and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh will not lack anything good.

¹¹ Come, sons, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of Yahweh.

¹² What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good?

¹³ Then keep your tongue from evil and keep your lips from speaking lies.

¹⁴ Turn away from evil and do good. Seek peace and go after it.

¹⁵ The eyes of Yahweh are on the righteous and his ears are directed toward their cry.

¹⁰ Rich men were needy, and were hungry; but men that seek the Lord shall not fail of all good.

¹¹ Come, ye sons, hear ye me; I shall teach you the dread of the Lord.

¹² Who is the man, that willeth or desireth life; that loveth to see good days?

¹³ Forbid thy tongue from evil; and thy lips speak not guile.

¹⁴ Turn thou away from evil, and do good; seek thou peace, and perfectly pursue thou it.

¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord be on just or rightwise men; and his ears be to their prayers.

⁹ All ye holy men of the Lord, dread ye him; for no neediness is to men dreading him. (All ye holy people of the Lord, fear him; for there is no neediness in those who fear him./All ye holy people of the Lord, revere him; for there is no neediness in those who revere him.)

¹⁰ Rich men were needy, and were hungry; but men that seek the Lord shall not fail of all good (or but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing).

¹¹ Come, ye sons, hear ye me; I shall teach you the dread of the Lord. (Come, ye sons and daughters, and listen ye to me; I shall teach you the fear of the Lord or I shall teach you to revere the Lord.)

¹² Who is the man, that willeth life; that loveth to see good days? (Who is the person who desireth life? who loveth to see good days?)

¹³ Forbid thy tongue from evil; and thy lips speak not guile (or and do not let thy lips speak deceitfully).

¹⁴ Turn thou away from evil, and do good; seek thou peace, and perfectly follow thou it.

¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord be on just men (or The eyes of the Lord be on the righteous); and his ears be to their prayers.
