¹ A Psalm of David; when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Jehovah at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

² My soul shall make her boast in Jehovah: The meek shall hear thereof, and be glad.

³ Oh magnify Jehovah with me, And let us exalt his name together.

⁴ I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.

⁵ They looked unto him, and were radiant; And their faces shall never be confounded.

⁶ This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.

⁷ The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, And delivereth them.

⁸ Oh taste and see that Jehovah is good: Blessed is the man that taketh refuge in him.

² Take hold of shield and buckler, and arise for my help.

³ Bring forth a sword, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say to my soul, I am thy salvation.

⁴ Let them that seek my soul be ashamed and confounded: let them that devise evils against me be turned back and put to shame.

⁵ Let them be as dust before the wind, and an angel of the Lord afflicting them.

⁶ Let their way be dark and slippery, and an angel of the Lord persecuting them.

⁷ For without cause they have hid for me their destructive snare: without a cause they have reproached my soul.

⁸ Let a snare which they know not come upon them: and the gin which they hid take them; and let them fall into the very same snare.

¹ I will always thank Yahweh; I will constantly praise him MTY.

² I will boast about what Yahweh has done. All those who are oppressed/discouraged should hear me and rejoice.

³ Join with me in telling others that Yahweh is great! You and I should together proclaim how glorious he is!

⁴ I prayed to Yahweh, and he ◄answered my prayer/did what I asked him to do►; he rescued me from all those who caused me to be afraid.

⁵ Those who trust IDM that he will help them will be joyful; ◄they will never be disappointed/he will always do for them the things that he promises► LIT.

⁶ I was miserable/helpless, but I called out to Yahweh, and he heard me. He rescued me from all my troubles.

⁷ An angel from Yahweh guards those who revere him, and the angel rescues them.

⁸ Find out for yourself, and you will experience that Yahweh is good to you! He is very pleased with those who ask him to protect them.

² My soul will say great things of the Lord: the poor in spirit will have knowledge of it and be glad.

³ O give praise to the Lord with me; let us be witnesses together of his great name.

⁴ I was searching for the Lord, and he gave ear to my voice, and made me free from all my fears.

⁵ Let your eyes be turned to him and you will have light, and your faces will not be shamed.

⁶ This poor man's cry came before the Lord, and he gave him salvation from all his troubles.

⁷ The angel of the Lord is ever watching over those who have fear of him, to keep them safe.

⁸ By experience you will see that the Lord is good; happy is the man who has faith in him.

⁵ They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.

⁶ This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

⁷ The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

⁸ Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!

¹ For David himself. Judge thou, O Lord, them that wrong me: overthrow them that fight against me.

² Take hold of arms and shield: and rise up to help me.

³ Bring out the sword, and shut up the way against them that persecute me: say to my soul: I am thy salvation.

⁴ Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek after my soul. Let them be turned back and be confounded that devise against me.

⁵ Let them become as dust before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord straiten them.

⁶ Let their way become dark and slippery; and let the angel of the Lord pursue them.

⁷ For without cause they have hidden their net for me unto destruction: without cause they have upbraided my soul.

⁸ Let the snare which he knoweth not come upon him: and let the net which he hath hidden catch him: and let the net which he hath hidden catch him: and into that very snare let them fall.

¹ A psalm of David concerning the time he pretended to be mad in front of Abimelech who then sent him away. I will always bless the Lord; my mouth will continually praise him.

² From the bottom of my heart I am proud of the Lord; those who are humble will hear and be happy.

³ Glorify God with me; together let's honor his reputation.

⁴ I asked the Lord for help, and he answered me. He set me free from all my fears.

⁵ The faces of those who look to him will shine with joy; they will never be downcast with shame.

⁶ This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard me, and saved me from all my troubles.

⁷ The angel of the Lord stands guard over all those who honor him, keeping them safe.

⁸ Taste, and you will see that the Lord is good! How happy are those who trust in his protection!

¹ A Psalme of Dauid, when he changed his behauiour before Abimelech, who droue him away, and he departed. I will alway giue thankes vnto the Lord: his praise shalbe in my mouth continually.

² My soule shall glory in the Lord: the humble shall heare it, and be glad.

³ Praise ye the Lord with me, and let vs magnifie his Name together.

⁴ I sought the Lord, and he heard me: yea, he deliuered me out of all my feare.

⁵ They shall looke vnto him, and runne to him: and their faces shall not be ashamed, saying,

⁶ This poore man cryed, and the Lord heard him, and saued him out of all his troubles.

⁷ The Angel of the Lord pitcheth round about them, that feare him, and deliuereth them.

⁸ Taste ye and see, howe gratious the Lord is: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

⁸ (34-9) O consider and see that the LORD is good; happy is the man that taketh refuge in Him.

⁴ (34:5) I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and from all that I dreaded did he deliver me.

⁵ (34:6) They who looked unto him, were indeed enlightened, and their faces were not put to the blush.

⁶ (34:7) This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and out of all his distresses did he save him.

⁷ (34:8) The angel of the Lord encampeth round about those who fear him, and delivereth them.

⁸ (34:9) Experience and see that the Lord is good: happy is the man that trusteth in him.

² My soul shall boast in Adonai . The humble shall sh'ma ·hear obey· it, and be glad.

³ Oh magnify Adonai with me. Let us exalt his name together.

⁴ I sought Adonai , and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

⁵ They looked to him, and were radiant. Their faces shall never be covered with shame.

⁶ This poor man cried, and Adonai sh'ma ·heard obeyed· him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

⁷ Ha mal'ak Yahweh The Angel of He sustains breathing encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

⁸ Oh taste and see that Adonai is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

⁸ Taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

³ Magnify ye the Lord with me; and enhance we his name into itself.

⁴ I sought the Lord, and he heard me; and he delivered me from all my tribulations.

⁵ Nigh ye to him, and be ye lighten-ed; and your faces shall not be shamed.

⁶ This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him; and saved him from all his tribulations.

⁷ The angel of the Lord sendeth in the compass of men dreading him; and he shall deliver them.

⁸ Taste ye, and see, for the Lord is sweet; blessed is the man, that hopeth in him.

¹ To David, when he changed his mouth, or his word, before Abimelech, and he drove out David, and he went forth. The psalm of David, when he changed his cheer before Abimelech, and he left him (or and so he let him go), and he went away. I shall bless the Lord in all time; evermore his praising be in my mouth. (A song by David, when he changed his face, and his words, before Abimelech, who then drove out David or sent him away, and so he went forth. I shall always bless the Lord; his praises shall be in my mouth forevermore.)

⁸ Taste ye, and see, for the Lord is sweet; blessed is the man, that hopeth in him. (Taste ye, and see, that the Lord is good; happy is the person, who trusteth in him.)

¹ By David, in his changing his behaviour before Abimelech, and he driveth him away, and he goeth. I do bless Jehovah at all times, Continually His praise is in my mouth.

² In Jehovah doth my soul boast herself, Hear do the humble and rejoice.

³ Ascribe ye greatness to Jehovah with me, And we exalt His name together.

⁴ I sought Jehovah, and He answered me, And from all my fears did deliver me.

⁵ They looked expectingly unto Him, And they became bright, And their faces are not ashamed.

⁶ This poor one called, and Jehovah heard, And from all his distresses saved him.

⁷ A messenger of Jehovah is encamping, Round about those who fear Him, And He armeth them.

⁸ Taste ye and see that Jehovah is good, O the happiness of the man who trusteth in Him.
