⁸ Let all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁹ For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

¹⁰ Jehovah bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

¹¹ The counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹² Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

¹³ Jehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;

¹⁴ From the place of his habitation he looketh forth Upon all the inhabitants of the earth,

¹⁵ He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works.

¹⁶ There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

⁸ The angel of the Lord will encamp round about them that fear him, and will deliver them.

⁹ Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who hopes in him.

¹⁰ Fear the Lord, all ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

¹¹ The rich have become poor and hungry: but they that seek the Lord diligently shall not want any good thing. Pause.

⁸ Everyone on the earth should revere Yahweh DOU.

⁹ When he spoke, the world ◄was created/started to exist►. Everything started to exist as a result of him commanding it.

¹⁰ Yahweh frustrates the things that the pagan nations decide to do. He prevents them from doing the evil things that they plan to do.

¹¹ But what Yahweh decides to do will last forever. What he plans to do will never be changed.

¹² Yahweh blesses those nations who choose him to be their God; He is pleased with those whom he has chosen to receive what he has promised.

¹³ Yahweh looks down from heaven and sees all us people;

¹⁴ from where he rules MTY, he looks down on all the people who live on the earth.

¹⁵ He formed our inner beings, and he sees everything that we do.

¹⁶ It is not because a king has a great army that he is able to win battles, and it is not because a soldier is very strong that he is able to defeat his enemy.

⁸ Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who hopes in him.

¹⁴ From his house he keeps watch on all who are living on the earth;

¹⁵ He makes all their hearts; their works are clear to him.

¹⁶ A king's salvation is not in the power of his army; a strong man does not get free by his great strength.

¹¹ But the Lord's plan stands forever—what he decides lasts for all generations.

¹⁴ from his throne he watches all those who live on earth.

¹⁵ He created their minds, so he knows everything they do.

¹⁶ Even the greatest army cannot save a king; the greatest strength cannot save a warrior.

¹⁵ Which made singularly, either each by himself, the souls of them; which understandeth all the works of them.

¹⁶ A king is not saved by much virtue, that is, strength; and a giant shall not be saved in the muchliness of his virtue.

⁸ All earth dread the Lord; soothly all men inhabiting the world be moved of him. (Let all the earth fear the Lord or Let all the earth revere the Lord; let all those who inhabit the world be in awe of him.)

⁹ For he said, and things were made; he commanded, and things were made of nought, (or he commanded, and everything was made out of nothing!).

¹⁰ The Lord destroyeth the counsels of folks, forsooth he reproveth the thoughts of peoples; and he reproveth the counsels of princes. (The Lord destroyeth the plans of the nations; he thwarteth the plans of the rulers of the peoples.)

¹¹ But the counsel of the Lord dwelleth (into) without end; the thoughts of his heart dwell in generation and into generation. (But the plans of the Lord shall stand forever; the thoughts of his heart shall remain for all generations.)

¹² Blessed is the folk, whose Lord is his God; the people which he chose into heritage to himself. (Happy is the nation, whose God is the Lord; the people whom he chose for his own inheritance.)

¹³ The Lord beheld from heaven; he saw all the sons of men. (The Lord looked down from heaven; he saw all the sons and daughters of men.)

¹⁴ From his dwelling place made ready before; he beheld on all men, that inhabit the earth, (or he looketh on all those who inhabit the earth).

¹⁵ Which made singularly, either each by himself, the souls of them; which understandeth all the works of them. (Who made each one of them individually; and who understandeth all their works, or their deeds.)

¹⁶ A king is not saved by much virtue, that is, strength; and a giant shall not be saved in the muchliness of his virtue. (A king is not saved by his large host, or his army; and a mighty man shall not be saved by his great strength.)

⁸ Afraid of Jehovah are all the earth, Of Him are all the inhabitants of the world afraid.

⁹ For He hath said, and it is, He hath commanded, and it standeth.

¹⁰ Jehovah made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.

¹¹ The counsel of Jehovah to the age standeth, The thoughts of His heart to all generations.

¹² O the happiness of the nation whose God is Jehovah, Of the people He did choose, For an inheritance to Him.

¹³ From the heavens hath Jehovah looked, He hath seen all the sons of men.

¹⁴ From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked unto all inhabitants of the earth;

¹⁵ Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.

¹⁶ The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.
