⁷ Thou art my hiding-place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble; Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah

⁸ I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.

⁹ Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding; Whose trappings must be bit and bridle to hold them in, Else they will not come near unto thee.

¹⁰ Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he that trusteth in Jehovah, lovingkindness shall compass him about.

⁷ Who gathers the waters of the sea as in a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.

⁸ Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.

⁹ For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.

¹⁰ The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nought also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nought the counsels of princes.

⁸ Yahweh says, “I will teach you about how you should conduct your life. I will instruct you and watch over you.

⁹ Do not be stupid like horses and mules that do not have understanding; they need ◄bits/pieces of metal put in their mouths► and ◄bridles/ropes fastened to their head► so they will go in the direction you want them to go.”

¹⁰ Wicked people will have many troubles that will make them sad, but those who trust in Yahweh will experience him faithfully loving them all the time.

¹⁰ The Lord bringeth to naught the counsels of nations; and he rejecteth the devices of people, and casteth away the counsels of princes.

⁸ “I will instruct you, teaching you the way to follow. I will advise you, watching out for you.

⁹ You mustn't be like a horse or a mule that doesn't know which way to go without a bit or a bridle. Otherwise they can't be controlled.”

¹⁰ The wicked have many problems, but those who trust in the Lord will be surrounded by his never-failing love.

⁸ The Boss says, “Listen to me! Don't be stupid like a horse or donkey. You must put a bridle on them. If you don't, they won't go where you want them to go. Don't be stupid like them. Should I have to put a bridle on you? No indeed! With my words I will teach you the way you should go. I will tell you what I want you to do. You should keep on paying attention to me.

¹⁰ Wicked people will make a lot of trouble for themselves, but the Lord continually loves those who trust in Him, he takes good care of them.
