⁴ For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: My moisture was changed as with the drought of summer. Selah

⁵ I acknowledged my sin unto thee, And mine iniquity did I not hide: I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah

⁶ For this let every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: Surely when the great waters overflow they shall not reach unto him.

⁴ For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.

⁵ He loves mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

⁶ By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁴ Day and night, Yahweh, you SYN punished me severely. My strength drained away like water that ◄ evaporates/dries up► on a hot summer day.

⁵ Then/Finally I admitted/confessed my sins to you; I stopped trying to hide them. (Think about that!) I said to myself, “I will confess to Yahweh the wrong things that I have done.” And when I confessed them, you forgave me, so now I ◄am no longer guilty/will no longer be punished► for my sins.

⁶ Therefore, the people who are godly should pray to you when they ◄ realize that they have sinned/have difficulties►. If they pray to yout, difficulties MET will not overwhelm them like a great flood.

⁵ He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

⁶ By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth:

⁴ You beat me day and night, my strength dried up as in the heat of summer. Selah.

⁵ Then I confessed my sins to you. I did not hide the wrongs I had done. I said to myself, “I will confess my disobedience to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sins. Selah.

⁶ Therefore let all who are faithful pray to you while there's time, so when trouble comes in like a flood it will not overwhelm them.

⁴ (For thine hand is heauie vpon me, day and night: and my moysture is turned into ye drought of summer. Selah)

⁵ Then I acknowledged my sinne vnto thee, neither hid I mine iniquitie: for I thought, I will confesse against my selfe my wickednesse vnto the Lord, and thou forgauest the punishment of my sinne. Selah.

⁶ Therefore shall euery one, that is godly, make his prayer vnto thee in a time, when thou mayest be founde: surely in the flood of great waters they shall not come neere him.

⁵ I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid; I said: 'I will make confession concerning my transgressions unto the LORD' — and Thou, Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah

⁶ For this shall every pious one pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely then when great waters overflow, they shall never reach unto him.

⁴ Day by day, night by night, you made it hard for me, Lord. I was weakened completely. In the summer the sun pierces the water and dries it up. In that same way you growled at me, Lord, and I became very weak and thin, I nearly died.

⁵ Then I told you true, like that I had done badly. I did not try to hide from you, I decided I would tell you the whole story, I told you I was ashamed of myself. Because of that you let me off completely.

⁶ Therefore all your people, the ones who believe in you, should tell you about their problems. They should ask you, “God, what should I do about this?” With doing that they will go well. When really big trouble comes for them, like a big flood rushing along in a creek, you will care for them, that trouble will not get high enough to carry them away.

⁵ At length I acknowledged to thee my sin, And did not hide my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgression to the LORD;” And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin! Pause.

⁶ Therefore shall every pious man pray to thee, while thou mayst be found; Surely the floods of great waters shall not come near him.

⁴ for day and night did your hand lie heavy upon me. The sap of my life was dried up as with fierce summer-heat. Selah

⁵ I began to acknowledge my sin, not concealing my guilt; and the moment I vowed to confess to the Lord my transgression, then you yourself did pardon the guilt of my sin. Selah

⁶ For this cause let all who are faithful pray to you in the time of distress; then, when the great waters rush, they will not reach to him.

⁶ For this thing each holy man shall pray to thee; in covenable time. Nevertheless in the great flood of many waters; they shall not nigh to thee.

⁴ For by day and night thine hand was made grievous on me (or And day and night thy hand was heavy upon me); I am turned in my wretchedness, while the thorn is set in.

⁵ (Then) I made my sin known to thee; and I hid not my unrightfulness. I said, I shall acknowledge against me mine unrightfulness to the Lord; and thou hast forgiven the wickedness of my sin.

⁶ For this thing each holy man shall pray to thee; in covenable time. Nevertheless in the great flood of many waters; they shall not (come) nigh to thee. (For this thing, each holy man shall pray to thee; in his time of need. And then, in the great flood of many troubles, none shall come near him.)
