⁷ Thou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

⁸ I cried to thee, O Jehovah; And unto Jehovah I made supplication:

⁹ What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

¹⁰ Hear, O Jehovah, and have mercy upon me: Jehovah, be thou my helper.

¹¹ Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

¹² To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

⁷ Thou hast hated them that idly persist in vanities: but I have hoped in the Lord.

⁸ I will exult and be glad in thy mercy: for thou hast looked upon mine affliction; thou hast saved my soul from distresses.

⁹ And thou hast not shut me up into the hands of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a wide place.

¹⁰ Pity me, O Lord, for I am afflicted: my eye is troubled with indignation, my soul and my belly.

¹¹ For my life is spent with grief, and my years with groanings: my strength has been weakened through poverty, and my bones are troubled.

¹² I became a reproach among all mine enemies, but exceedingly so to my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that saw me without fled from me.

⁷ Yahweh, because you were good to me, at first you caused me to be safe as though I was inside MET a mountain. But then I became ill, and I thought that you had turned away from me, and I became afraid.

⁸ Then I called out to you, and I pleaded for you to help me.

⁹ I said, “Yahweh, ◄what will you gain if I die?/ you won't gain anything if I die►MTY. ◄In what way will it benefit you?/it won't benefit you at all► if I go to the place where the dead people are RHQ. Dead people are certainly not able to praise you RHQ, and they are not able to tell others that you are trustworthy RHQ!

¹⁰ Yahweh, listen to me, and be merciful to me! Yahweh, help me!”

¹¹ But now you have healed me, and you have caused me to change from being sad to dancing joyfully. You have taken away the clothes that showed that I was very sad and you have given me clothes that showed that I was very joyful.

¹² So I will not be silent; I will sing out loudly to praise you. Yahweh, you are my God, and I will thank you forever.

⁷ Lord, by your grace you have kept my mountain strong: when your face was turned from me I was troubled.

⁸ My voice went up to you, O Lord; I made my prayer to the Lord.

⁹ What profit is there in my blood if I go down into the underworld? will the dust give you praise, or be a witness to your help?

¹⁰ Give ear to me, O Lord, and have mercy on me: Lord, be my helper.

¹¹ By you my sorrow is turned into dancing; you have taken away my clothing of grief, and given me robes of joy;

¹² So that my glory may make songs of praise to you and not be quiet. O Lord my God, I will give you praise for ever.

¹² That my glory may sing psalms of thee, and not be silent. Jehovah my God, I will praise thee for ever.

⁷ Thou hast hated them that regard vanities, to no purpose. But I have hoped in the Lord:

⁸ I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy. For thou best regarded my humility, thou hast saved my soul out of distresses.

⁹ And thou hast not shut me up in the hands of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a spacious place.

¹⁰ Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am afflicted: my eye is troubled with wrath, my soul, and my belly:

¹¹ For my life is wasted with grief: and my years in sighs. My strength is weakened through poverty and my bones are disturbed.

¹² I am become a reproach among all my enemies, and very much to my neighbours; and a fear to my acquaintance. They that saw me without fled from me.

⁷ Lord, when you showed me your favor I stood as strong as a mountain; when you turned away from me I was terrified.

⁸ I called out to you for help, Lord. I asked the Lord for grace, saying,

⁹ What would you gain if I die, if I go down into the pit of death? Would my dust praise you? Would it tell of your trustworthiness?

¹⁰ Please listen to me, Lord, and be gracious to me! Lord, you are the one who helps me.

¹¹ You have turned my weeping into dancing. You have taken off my clothes of sackcloth and dressed me in happiness,

¹² so I can sing praises to you and not keep quiet. Lord my God, I will thank you forever!

⁷ For thou Lord of thy goodnes hadest made my mountaine to stande strong: but thou didest hide thy face, and I was troubled.

⁸ Then cried I vnto thee, O Lord, and praied to my Lord.

⁹ What profite is there in my blood, when I go downe to the pit? shall the dust giue thankes vnto thee? or shall it declare thy trueth?

¹⁰ Heare, O Lord, and haue mercy vpon me: Lord, be thou mine helper.

¹¹ Thou hast turned my mourning into ioy: thou hast loosed my sacke and girded mee with gladnesse.

¹² Therefore shall my tongue praise thee and not cease: O Lord my God, I will giue thankes vnto thee for euer.

⁷ (30-8) Thou hadst established, O LORD, in Thy favour my mountain as a stronghold — Thou didst hide Thy face; I was affrighted.

⁸ (30-9) Unto Thee, O LORD, did I call, and unto the LORD I made supplication:

⁹ (30-10) 'What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise Thee? shall it declare Thy truth?

¹⁰ (30-11) Hear, O LORD, and be gracious unto me; LORD, be Thou my helper.'

¹¹ (30-12) Thou didst turn for me my mourning into dancing; Thou didst loose my sackcloth, and gird me with gladness;

¹² (30-13) So that my glory may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent; O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever.

¹⁰ (30:11) Hear, O Lord, and be gracious unto me: Lord, be thou a helper unto me.

¹² (30:13) To the end that my glorious soul may sing praise to thee, and never be silent. O Lord my God, for ever will I give thanks unto thee.

¹² Therefore I will sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Jehovah, my God! I will give thanks to thee for ever!

⁸ Then to you, Lord, I cried, to the Lord I begged for mercy,

⁹ “What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Can you be praised by dust? Can it tell of your faithfulness?

¹⁰ Hear, Lord, and show me your favour, Lord be a helper to me.”

¹¹ You have turned my mourning to dancing; my sackcloth you have unloosed, and clothed me with joy:

¹² that unceasingly I should sing your praise, and give thanks to you, Lord my God, forever.

¹⁰ Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, Adonai , and have mercy on me. Adonai , be my helper.”

¹¹ You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,

¹² To the end that my kavod ·weighty glory· may sing zahmar ·musical praise· to you, and not be silent. Adonai my God, I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you forever!

⁸ I cried to you, Yahweh, and sought favor from my Lord!

⁹ What advantage is there in my death, if I go down to the grave? Will the dust praise you? Will it declare your trustworthiness?

¹⁰ Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me! Yahweh, be my helper.

¹¹ You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.

¹² So now my glory will sing praise to you and not be silent; Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

⁹ What profit is in my blood; while I go down into corruption? Whether dust shall acknowledge to thee; either it shall tell of thy truth?

¹⁰ The Lord heard, and had mercy on me; the Lord is made mine helper.

¹¹ Thou hast turned my wailing into joy to me; thou hast rent my sack-cloth, and hast encompassed me with gladness.

¹² That my glory sing to thee, and I be not compunct; my Lord God, I shall acknowledge to thee without end.

⁷ Lord, in thy will; thou hast given virtue to my fairness. Thou turnedest away thy face from me; and I am made troubled. (Lord, by thy favour, thou hast protected me; yea, like a mountain stronghold. But then thou hast turned thy face away from me; and I was greatly troubled.)

⁸ Lord, I shall cry to thee; and I shall pray to my God. (Lord, I cried to thee; yea, I prayed to my God.)

⁹ What profit is in my blood; while I go down into corruption? Whether dust shall acknowledge to thee; either it shall tell thy truth? (And I said, What profit is there in my death; if I go down into the pit? Shall the dust then praise thee? or can it tell about thy truth?)

¹⁰ The Lord heard, and had mercy on me; the Lord is made mine helper. (Hear me, Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be thou my helper.)

¹¹ Thou hast turned my wailing into joy to me; thou hast rent my sackcloth, and hast (en)compassed me with gladness. (And now, thou hast turned my wailing into joy for me; thou hast torn off my sackcloth, and surrounded me with gladness.)

¹² That my glory sing to thee, and I be not compunct; my Lord God, I shall acknowledge to thee into without end. (So that my spirit may sing to thee, and I shall never be silent; my Lord God, I shall thank thee forever.)

⁷ O Jehovah, in Thy good pleasure, Thou hast caused strength to remain for my mountain,' Thou hast hidden Thy face — I have been troubled.

⁸ Unto Thee, O Jehovah, I call, And unto Jehovah I make supplication.

⁹ 'What gain is in my blood? In my going down unto corruption? Doth dust thank Thee? doth it declare Thy truth?

¹⁰ Hear, O Jehovah, and favour me, O Jehovah, be a helper to me.'

¹¹ Thou hast turned my mourning to dancing for me, Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, And girdest me with joy.

¹² So that honour doth praise Thee, and is not silent, O Jehovah, my God, to the age I thank Thee!
