⁹ Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

¹⁰ Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

¹¹ Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.

¹² Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.

⁹ You will defeat them completely MET; you will destroy them like people smash a clay pot with an iron rod SIM.’”

¹⁰ So then, you kings and other rulers on the earth, act wisely! Heed what Yahweh is warning you!

¹¹ Serve Yahweh, fervently revering him; Rejoice about what he has done for you, but tremble before him!

¹² Bow down humbly before his son! If you do not do that, Yahweh will be angry, and he will suddenly get rid of you. Do not forget that he can very quickly show that he is very angry! But he is very pleased with all those who request him to protect them MET.

¹¹ Give worship to the Lord with fear, kissing his feet and giving him honour,

¹² For fear that he may be angry, causing destruction to come on you, because he is quickly moved to wrath. Happy are all those who put their faith in him.

⁹ Thou shalt break them with a sceptre of iron, as a potter's vessel thou shalt dash them in pieces.

¹⁰ And now, O kings, be ye wise, be admonished, ye judges of the earth.

¹¹ Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, though his anger burn but a little. Blessed are all who have their trust in him.

⁹ Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron, and shalt break them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

¹⁰ And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth.

¹¹ Serve ye the Lord with fear: and rejoice unto him with trembling.

¹² Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way.

⁹ You will break them with a rod of iron, smashing them like pottery.’”

¹⁰ So then you kings, be wise! Be warned, you rulers of the world!

¹¹ Serve the Lord in reverence, celebrate with trembling!

¹² Submit to his son so that he will not become angry and you die suddenly. His anger flares up quickly, but how happy are all those who go to him for protection.

⁹ Thou shalt krush them with a scepter of yron, and breake them in pieces like a potters vessell.

¹⁰ Be wise nowe therefore, ye Kings: be learned ye Iudges of the earth.

¹¹ Serue the Lord in feare, and reioyce in trembling.

¹² Kisse the sonne, least he be angry, and ye perish in the way, when his wrath shall suddenly burne. blessed are all that trust in him.

⁹ You will break them with an iron rod; like a jar of a potter, you will smash them to pieces.”

¹⁰ So now, you kings, be warned; be corrected, you rulers of the earth.

¹¹ Worship Yahweh in fear and rejoice with trembling.

¹² Kiss the son or he will be angry with you, and you will die in the way when his anger burns for just a moment. How blessed are all those who seek refuge in him.

¹² Take ye lore of chastising; lest the Lord be wroth sometime, and ye perish from the just way. When his wrath shall burn out in short time; blessed be all they, that trust in him.

⁹ Thou shalt govern them in an iron rod; and thou shalt break them together as the vessel of a potter. (Thou shalt govern them with an iron rod; and thou shalt break them in pieces, like a clay pot.)

¹⁰ And now, ye kings, understand; ye that deem the earth, be ye learned. (And so now, ye kings, understand; ye who judge, (or who rule), the earth, learn your lesson!)

¹¹ Serve ye the Lord with dread; and make ye full out joy to him with trembling. (Serve ye the Lord in fear or Serve ye the Lord with reverence; and bow down before him with trembling.)

¹² Take ye lore of chastising; lest the Lord be wroth sometime, and ye perish from the just way. When his wrath shall burn out in short time; blessed be all they, that trust in him. (Kiss ye the King, that is, worship and serve him; lest sometime, the Lord be angry. And then, ye perish on the way; when, in a moment of time, his anger flareth up. Happy be all they, who trust in him.)

⁹ Thou dost rule them with a sceptre of iron, As a vessel of a potter Thou dost crush them.'

¹⁰ And now, O kings, act wisely, Be instructed, O judges of earth,

¹¹ Serve ye Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.

¹² Kiss the Chosen One, lest He be angry, And ye lose the way, When His anger burneth but a little, O the happiness of all trusting in Him!
