Psalms 2:5-10

⁵Then shall he speak to them in his wrath, And confound them in his hot displeasure.

⁶“I myself have anointed my king, Upon Zion, my holy hill!”

⁷I will declare the decree of Jehovah: He hath said to me, “Thou art my son; This day I have begotten thee.

⁸Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the ends of the earth for thy possession.

⁹Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”

¹⁰Be wise, therefore, O ye kings! Be admonished, ye rulers of the earth!
