Psalms 28:2-4 in English

² Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, When I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

³ Draw me not away with the wicked, And with the workers of iniquity; That speak peace with their neighbors, But mischief is in their hearts.

⁴ Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their doings: Give them after the operation of their hands; Render to them their desert.

² Bring to the Lord glory, due to his name; worship the Lord in his holy court.

³ The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory has thundered: the Lord is upon many waters.

⁴ The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

³ Do not drag me away with wicked people, with those who do wicked deeds, with those who pretend to act peacefully toward others while in their inner beings, they hate them.

⁴ Punish those people in the way that they deserve for what they have done; punish them for their evil deeds DOU.

² Give ear to the voice of my prayer, when I am crying to you, when my hands are lifted up to your holy place.

³ Do not take me away with the sinners and the workers of evil, who say words of peace to their neighbours, but evil is in their hearts.

⁴ Give them the right reward of their acts, and of their evil doings: give them punishment for the works of their hands, let them have their full reward.

³ Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbours, and mischief is in their heart.

⁴ Give them according to their doing, and according to the wickedness of their deeds; give them after the work of their hands, render to them their desert.

² Bring to the Lord glory and honour: bring to the Lord glory to his name: adore ye the Lord in his holy court.

³ The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of majesty hath thundered, The Lord is upon many waters.

⁴ The voice of the Lord is in power; the voice of the Lord in magnificence.

² Listen as I appeal for mercy, as I call for help, as I hold up my hands in prayer towards your holy Temple.

³ Don't drag me off with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak nicely to their neighbors while in their minds they're plotting evil.

⁴ Give them what they deserve for their evil actions. Pay them back for what they've done. Give them the reward they've earned!

² Heare the voyce of my petitions, when I crie vnto thee, when I holde vp mine handes towarde thine holy Oracle.

³ Drawe mee not away with the wicked, and with the woorkers of iniquitie: which speake friendly to their neighbours, when malice is in their hearts.

⁴ Reward them according to their deedes, and according to the wickednes of their inuentions: recompense them after the woorke of their handes: render them their reward.

³ Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity; who speak peace with their neighbours, but evil is in their hearts.

⁴ Give them according to their deeds, and according to the evil of their endeavours; give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

⁴ Give unto them according to their doing, and according to the evil of their deeds; according to the work of their hands do thou give unto them: bestow their just recompense on them.

⁴ The voice of the Lord is mighty; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

² Hear the voice of my supplication, when I cry unto thee, When I lift up my hands to thy most holy sanctuary!

³ Draw me not away with the impious, and with evil-doers, Who speak peace to their neighbors, while mischief is in their hearts!

⁴ Give them according to their deeds, and the wickedness of their doings; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them their desert!

² Hear my loud entreaty, as I cry for help to you, lifting my hands, O Lord, towards your holy chancel.

³ Take me not off with the wicked, nor with the workers of wrong, whose speech to their neighbours is friendly, while evil is in their heart.

⁴ Give them as they have done, as their wicked deeds deserve. As their hands have wrought, so give to them: requite to them their deserts.

⁴ Give them what their deeds deserve and repay them what their wickedness demands, repay them for the work of their hands and render to them their due.

³ Betake thou not me together with sinners; and lose thou not me with them that work wickedness. Which speak peace to their neighbours; but evils be in their hearts.

⁴ Give thou to them after the works of them; and after the wickedness of their findings. Give thou to them after the works of their hands; yield thou their yielding to them.

² Lord, hear thou the voice of my beseeching, while I pray to thee; while I raise mine hands to(ward) thine holy temple. (Lord, hear thou the words of my plea, when I pray to thee; when I raise up my hands toward thy holy Temple.)

³ Betake thou not me together with sinners; and lose thou not me with them that work wickedness. Which speak peace to their neighbour(s); but evils be in their hearts. (Take thou me not away with the sinners; and destroy thou me not with those who do evil. Yea, those who speak peacefully to their neighbours; but evil is in their hearts.)

⁴ Give thou to them after the works of them; and after the wickedness of their findings. Give thou to them after the works of their hands; yield thou their yielding to them. (Punish thou them according to their works; yea, according to the wickedness of their deeds. Punish thou them according to the works of their hands; give thou them their just reward.)

³ Draw me not with the wicked, And with workers of iniquity, Speaking peace with their neighbours, And evil in their heart.

⁴ Give to them according to their acting, And according to the evil of their doings. According to the work of their hands give to them. Return their deed to them.
