¹ A Psalm of David. Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in Jehovah without wavering.

² Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me; Try my heart and my mind.

³ For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes; And I have walked in thy truth.

⁴ I have not sat with men of falsehood; Neither will I go in with dissemblers.

⁵ I hate the assembly of evil-doers, And will not sit with the wicked.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocency: So will I compass thine altar, O Jehovah;

⁷ That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, And tell of all thy wondrous works.

⁸ Jehovah, I love the habitation of thy house, And the place where thy glory dwelleth.

⁹ Gather not my soul with sinners, Nor my life with men of blood;

¹ A Psalm of David, before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my Saviour; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the defender of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

² When evil-doers drew nigh against me to eat up my flesh, my persecutors and mine enemies, they fainted and fell.

³ Though an army should set itself in array against me, my heart shall not be afraid: though war should rise up against me, in this am I confident.

⁴ One thing have I asked of the Lord, this will I earnestly seek: that I should dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, that I should behold the fair beauty of the Lord, and survey his temple.

⁵ For in the day of mine afflictions he hid me in his tabernacle: he sheltered me in the secret of his tabernacle; he set me up on a rock.

⁶ And now, behold, he has lifted up mine head over mine enemies: I went round and offered in his tabernacle the sacrifice of joy; I will sing, even sing psalms to the Lord.

⁷ Hear, O Lord, my voice which I have uttered aloud: pity me, and hearken to me.

⁸ My heart said to thee, I have diligently sought thy face: thy face, O Lord, I will seek.

⁹ Turn not thy face away from me, turn not thou away from thy servant in anger: be thou my helper, forsake me not; and, O God my Saviour, overlook me not.

² When evil-doers drew near against me to eat up my flesh, my persecutors and my enemies, they fainted and fell.

³ Though an army should set itself in array against me, my heart shall not be afraid: though war should rise up against me, in this am I confident.

⁴ One thing have I asked of the Lord, this will I earnestly seek: that I should dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, that I should behold the fair beauty of the Lord, and survey his temple.

⁵ For in the day of my afflictions he hid me in his tabernacle: he sheltered me in the secret of his tabernacle; he set me up on a rock.

⁶ And now, behold, he has lifted up my head over my enemies: I went round and offered in his tabernacle the sacrifice of joy; I will sing even sing psalms to the Lord.

⁷ Hear, O Lord, my voice which I have uttered aloud: pity me, and listen to me.

¹ Yahweh, show that I ◄am innocent/have not done what is wrong►. I always do what is right; I have trusted in you and never doubted that you would help me.

² Yahweh, examine what I have done and test me; thoroughly evaluate what I think IDM.

³ I never forget that you faithfully love me, I conduct my life according to your truth.

⁴ I do not spend my time with liars and I stay away from hypocrites.

⁵ I do not like to be with evil people, and I avoid wicked people.

⁶ Yahweh, I wash my hands to show that I ◄am innocent/have not done what was wrong►. As I join with others marching around your altar,

⁷ we sing songs to thank you, and we tell others the wonderful things that you have done.

⁸ Yahweh, I love to be in the temple where you live, in the place where your glory appears.

⁹ Do not get rid of me like you get rid of sinners; do not cause me to die like you cause those who murder MTY people to die,

¹ Of David. O Lord, be my judge, for my behaviour has been upright: I have put my faith in the Lord, I am not in danger of slipping.

² Put me in the scales, O Lord, so that I may be tested; let the fire make clean my thoughts and my heart.

³ For your mercy is before my eyes; and I have gone in the way of your good faith.

⁴ I have not taken my seat with foolish persons, and I do not go with false men.

⁵ I have been a hater of the band of wrongdoers, and I will not be seated among sinners.

⁶ I will make my hands clean from sin; so will I go round your altar, O Lord;

⁷ That I may give out the voice of praise, and make public all the wonders which you have done.

⁸ Lord, your house has been dear to me, and the resting-place of your glory.

⁹ Let not my soul be numbered among sinners, or my life among men of blood;

¹ A Psalm of David. Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have confided in Jehovah: I shall not slip.

² Prove me, Jehovah, and test me; try my reins and my heart:

³ For thy loving-kindness is before mine eyes, and I have walked in thy truth.

⁴ I have not sat with vain persons, neither have I gone in with dissemblers;

⁵ I have hated the congregation of evil-doers, and I have not sat with the wicked.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocency, and will encompass thine altar, O Jehovah,

⁷ That I may cause the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and declare all thy marvellous works.

⁸ Jehovah, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth.

⁹ Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood;

¹ The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?

² Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen.

³ If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident.

⁴ One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.

⁵ For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.

⁶ He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.

⁷ Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: have mercy on me and hear me.

⁸ My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.

⁹ Turn not away thy face from me; decline not in thy wrath from thy servant. Be thou my helper, forsake me not; do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour.

¹ A psalm of David. Confirm that I'm innocent, Lord, for I have acted with integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without fail.

² Examine me, Lord, test me; investigate my thoughts and intentions.

³ For I always remember your trustworthy love, and I follow your truth.

⁴ I don't join in with liars and I don't associate with hypocrites.

⁵ I refuse to get together with those who do evil, and I won't involve myself with the wicked.

⁶ I wash my hands to show my innocence. I come to worship at your altar, Lord,

⁷ singing my thanks, telling of all the wonderful things you have done.

⁸ Lord, I love your house, the place where you live in your glory.

⁹ Please don't sweep me away along with sinners. Don't include me with those who commit murder,

² Proue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.

³ For thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: therefore haue I walked in thy trueth.

⁴ I haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers.

⁵ I haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked.

⁶ I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,

⁷ That I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes.

⁸ O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

⁷ That I may publish with a loud voice my thanksgiving, and relate all thy wondrous deeds.

⁸ Lord, I love the site of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth.

⁹ Take not away with sinners my soul, nor with men of blood my life;

² Examine me, Lord, and test me; test my heart and my mind.

³ For your love is before my eyes, and your faithfulness governs my way.

⁴ I never sat down with the worthless, nor companied with dissemblers.

⁵ I hate the assembly of knaves, I would never sit down with the wicked;

⁶ but, with hands washed in innocence, I would march round your altar, O Lord,

⁷ singing loud songs of thanks, and telling of all your wonders.

⁸ O Lord, I love your house, the place where your glory lives.

⁹ Do not gather me up with sinners; slay me not with people of blood,

¹ A psalm of David. Defend me, O Lord, for my walk has been blameless; in the Lord have I trusted unswervingly:

² Examine me, Lord, and test me; test my heart and my mind.

³ For your love is before my eyes, and your faithfulness governs my way.

⁴ I never sat down with the worthless, nor companied with dissemblers.

⁵ I hate the assembly of knaves, I would never sit down with the wicked;

⁹ Don’t gather my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men;

² Examine me, Yahweh, and test me; test the purity of my inner parts and my heart!

³ For your covenant faithfulness is before my eyes, and I walk about in your faithfulness.

⁴ I do not associate with deceitful people, nor do I mingle with dishonest people.

⁵ I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I do not live with the wicked.

⁶ I wash my hands in innocence, and I go around your altar, Yahweh,

⁷ to sing a loud song of praise and report all your wonderful deeds.

⁸ Yahweh, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory lives!

² Lord, prove thou me, and assay me; burn thou my reins, and mine heart.

³ For why thy mercy is before mine eyes; and I pleased in thy truth.

⁴ I sat not with the counsel of vanity; and I shall not enter with men doing wicked things.

⁵ I hated the church of evil men; and I shall not sit with wicked men.

⁶ I shall wash mine hands among innocents; and, Lord, I shall compass thine altar.

⁷ That I hear the voice of praising; and that I tell out all thy marvels.

⁸ Lord, I have loved the fairness of thine house; and the place of the dwelling of thy glory.

⁹ God, lose thou not my soul with unfaithful men; and my life with men of bloods.

Lord, judge me, for I have gone my way in innocence; and trusting in the Lord, I have not been made unsteady, that is, I have not slipped, or stumbled.)

² Lord, prove thou me, and assay me; burn thou my reins, and mine heart, (or burn thou my will, and my heart).

³ For why thy mercy is before mine eyes; and I pleased in thy truth. (For thy love is always before me; and I have gone in thy faithfulness.)

⁴ I sat not with the counsel of vanity; and I shall not enter with men doing wicked things. (I sat not down with vain, that is, empty, or worthless, people; and I shall not go along with those who do wicked things.)

⁵ I hated the church of evil men; and I shall not sit with wicked men. (I hate the company of evil people; and I shall not sit with the wicked.)

⁶ I shall wash mine hands among innocents; and, Lord, I shall compass thine altar. (I shall wash my hands in innocence; and then, Lord, I shall march around thy altar.)

⁷ That I hear the voice of praising; and that I tell out all thy marvels. (And I shall sing thy praises with thanksgiving; and I shall tell of all thy marvellous deeds.)

⁸ Lord, I have loved the fairness of thine house; and the place of the dwelling of thy glory. (Lord, I love the beauty of thy House; yea, the place where thy glory dwelleth.)

⁹ God, lose thou not my soul with unfaithful men; and my life with men of bloods. (God, do not thou destroy me along with the unfaithful; and do not take away my life along with those who thirst for blood, that is, murderers.)

⁷ To sound with a voice of confession, And to recount all Thy wonders.

⁸ Jehovah, I have loved the habitation of Thy house, And the place of the tabernacle of Thine honour.
