Psalms 25:1-3 in English

¹ A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.

² O my God, in thee have I trusted, Let me not be put to shame; Let not mine enemies triumph over me.

³ Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame: They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.

¹ A Psalm of David. Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in my innocence: and hoping in the Lord I shall not be moved.

² Prove me, O Lord, and try me; purify as with fire my reins and my heart.

³ For thy mercy is before mine eyes: and I am well pleased with thy truth.

² I trust in you. Do not allow my enemies to defeat me, with the result that I would be ashamed/disgraced. Do not allow my enemies to defeat/conquer me, with the result that they would rejoice.

³ Do not allow any of those who trust in you to be disappointed/disgraced. Cause those who ◄act treacherously toward/try to deceive► others to be disappointed/disgraced.

² I trust in you, my God. Don't let me be humiliated, and don't let my enemies triumph over me.

³ No one who trusts in you will be humiliated, but humiliation comes to those who are deliberately dishonest.
