⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

⁸ Commit thyself unto Jehovah; let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.

⁹ But thou art he that took me out of the womb; Thou didst make me trust when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

¹⁰ I was cast upon thee from the womb; Thou art my God since my mother bare me.

¹¹ Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.

¹² Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³ They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I may count all my bones. They look and stare upon me;

⁶ Thy mercy also shall follow me all the days of my life: and my dwelling shall be in the house of the Lord for a very long time.

¹⁷ I may tell all my bones; they look and stare upon me:

⁶ But you have not rescued me People despise me and consider that I am not a man; they think that I am as worthless as a worm! Everyone HYP scorns me and despises me.

⁷ Everyone who sees me HYP makes fun of me. They sneer at me and insult me by shaking their heads at me as though I were an evil man. They say,

⁸ “He trusts in Yahweh, so Yahweh should save him! He says that Yahweh is very pleased with him; if that is so, Yahweh should rescue him!”

⁹ Why do you not protect me now as you did when I was born? I was safe even when I was ◄nurssing/drinking milk from my mother's breasts►.

¹⁰ It was as though you adopted me right when I was born. You have ◄been my God/taken care of me► ever since I was born.

¹¹ So, ◄do not stay far from/stay close to► LIT me now because enemies who will cause me much trouble are near me, and there is no one else who can help me.

¹² My enemies surround me like a herd/group of wild bulls. Fierce people, like those strong bulls that graze on the hills in Bashan area, encircle me.

¹³ They are like roaring lions that are attacking the animals that they want to kill MET and eat; they rush toward me to kill me; they are like lions that have their mouths open, ready to tear their victims to pieces MET.

¹⁴ I am completely exhausted MET, and all my bones are out of their joints/places. I no longer expect that God will save me; that expectation is gone completely, like wax that has melted away.

¹⁵ My strength is all dried up MET like a broken piece of a clay jar that has dried in the sun. I am so thirsty that my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. O God, I think that you are about to let me die and become dirt!

¹⁶ My enemies MET surround me like a pack/group of wild dogs. A group of evil men has encircled me, ready to attack me. They have already smashed my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I am so weak and thin that my bones can be seen and counted. My enemies stare at me and ◄gloat/are happy► about what has happened to me.

⁶ Your mercy also shall follow me all the days of my life: and my dwelling shall be in the house of the Lord for a very long time.

⁷ I am laughed at by all those who see me: pushing out their lips and shaking their heads they say,

⁸ He put his faith in the Lord; let the Lord be his saviour now: let the Lord be his saviour, because he had delight in him.

⁹ But it was you who took care of me from the day of my birth: you gave me faith even from my mother's breasts.

¹⁰ I was in your hands even before my birth; you are my God from the time when I was in my mother's body.

¹¹ Be not far from me, for trouble is near; there is no one to give help.

¹² A great herd of oxen is round me: I am shut in by the strong oxen of Bashan.

¹³ I saw their mouths wide open, like lions crying after food.

¹⁴ I am flowing away like water, and all my bones are out of place: my heart is like wax, it has become soft in my body.

¹⁵ My throat is dry like a broken vessel; my tongue is fixed to the roof of my mouth, and the dust of death is on my lips.

¹⁶ Dogs have come round me: I am shut in by the band of evil-doers; they made wounds in my hands and feet.

¹⁷ I am able to see all my bones; their looks are fixed on me:

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and the despised of the people.

⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying:

⁸ Commit it to Jehovah — let him rescue him; let him deliver him, because he delighteth in him!

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaveth to my palate; and thou hast laid me in the dust of death.

¹⁶ For dogs have encompassed me; an assembly of evil-doers have surrounded me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I may count all my bones. They look, they stare upon me;

⁶ And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days.

⁶ But I'm a worm, not a man, scorned and despised by everyone.

⁷ People who see me mock me. They laugh at me and shake their heads, saying,

⁸ “He trusts in the Lord—well then, let the Lord save him! If the Lord is such a friend, then let the Lord rescue him!”

⁹ However, you brought me safely through birth, and led me to trust in you at my mother's breasts.

¹⁰ I was entrusted to you from birth; from the time I was born you have been my God.

¹¹ Do not be distant from me, because trouble is close by and no one else can help.

¹² Enemies surround me like a herd of bulls; strong bulls from Bashan have encircled me.

¹³ Like roaring lions tearing at their prey they open their mouths wide against me.

¹⁴ I feel like I'm being poured out like water. I'm falling apart as if all my bones have become loose. My mind feels like it's wax melting inside me.

¹⁵ My strength has dried up like a piece of broken pottery. My tongue is stuck to the roof of my mouth. You're burying me as if I'm already dead.

¹⁶ Evil men surround me like a pack of dogs. They have pierced my hands and feet.

¹⁷ I'm so thin I can count all my bones. People stare at me and gloat.

⁶ But I am a worme, and not a man: a shame of men, and the contempt of the people.

⁷ All they that see me, haue me in derision: they make a mowe and nod the head, saying,

⁸ He trusted in the Lord, let him deliuer him: let him saue him, seeing he loueth him.

⁹ But thou didest draw me out of ye wombe: thou gauest me hope, euen at my mothers breasts.

¹⁰ I was cast vpon thee, euen from ye wombe: thou art my God from my mothers belly.

¹¹ Be not farre from me, because trouble is neere: for there is none to helpe me.

¹² Many yong bulles haue compassed me: mightie bulles of Bashan haue closed me about.

¹³ They gape vpon me with their mouthes, as a ramping and roaring lyon.

¹⁴ I am like water powred out, and all my bones are out of ioynt: mine heart is like waxe: it is molten in the middes of my bowels.

¹⁵ My strength is dryed vp like a potsheard, and my tongue cleaueth to my iawes, and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶ For dogges haue compassed me, and the assemblie of the wicked haue inclosed me: they perced mine hands and my feete.

¹⁷ I may tell all my bones: yet they beholde, and looke vpon me.

⁶ (22-7) But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁷ (22-8) All they that see me laugh me to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head:

⁸ (22-9) 'Let him commit himself unto the LORD! let Him rescue him; let Him deliver him, seeing He delighteth in him.'

⁹ (22-10) For Thou art He that took me out of the womb; Thou madest me trust when I was upon my mother's breasts.

¹⁰ (22-11) Upon Thee I have been cast from my birth; Thou art my God from my mother's womb.

¹¹ (22-12) Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

¹² (22-13) Many bulls have encompassed me; strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³ (22-14) They open wide their mouth against me, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁴ (22-15) I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is become like wax; it is melted in mine inmost parts.

¹⁵ (22-16) My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my throat; and Thou layest me in the dust of death.

¹⁶ (22-17) For dogs have encompassed me; a company of evil-doers have inclosed me; like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ (22-18) I may count all my bones; they look and gloat over me.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

¹⁰ (22:11) Upon thee was I cast from my birth: from my mother's womb art thou my God.

¹¹ (22:12) Oh be not far from me now; for distress is near; for there is none to help.

¹² (22:13) Many steers have encompassed me: the strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³ (22:14) They have opened wide against me their mouth, as a ravenous and roaring lion.

¹⁴ (22:15) Like water am I poured out, and all my bones are disjointed: my heart is become like wax, it is melted in the midst of my entrails.

¹⁵ (22:16) Like a potsherd is my strength dried up; and my tongue cleaveth to my palate; and into the dust of death hast thou laid me down.

¹⁶ (22:17) For dogs have encompassed me; the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: like lions they threaten my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ (22:18) I may number all my bones: while they stare and look upon me.

⁶ Thy mercy also shall follow me all the days of my life: And my dwelling shall be in the house of the Lord for a very long time.

⁶ But I am a worm, and not a man; The reproach of men, and the scorn of the people.

⁷ All who see me scoff at me; They open wide the lips; they shake the head.

⁸ “He trusted in the LORD, let him help him; Let him deliver him, since he delighted in him!”

⁹ Surely thou art he that didst bring me into the world; Thou didst make me lie secure upon my mother's breast!

¹⁰ Upon thee have I cast myself from my birth; Thou hast been my God from my earliest breath!

¹¹ Oh, be not far from me, for trouble is near; For there is none to help!

¹² Many bulls surround me; Strong bulls of Bashan close me in on every side.

¹³ They open their mouths wide against me, Like a ravening and roaring lion.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is become like wax; It melteth in my bosom.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like an earthen vessel, And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; Thou hast brought me to the dust of death!

¹⁶ For dogs have surrounded me; Bands of evil-doers have encompassed me,—Like lions my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I can count all my bones; They gaze, and feast their eyes upon me.

⁶ But I am a worm, not a person; insulted by others, despised by the people.

⁷ All who see me mock me, with mouths wide open and wagging heads:

⁸ “He relies on the Lord; let him save him. Let him rescue the one he holds dear!”

⁹ But you drew me from the womb, laid me safely on my mother's breasts.

¹⁰ On your care was I cast from my very birth, you are my God from my mother's womb.

¹¹ Be not far from me, for trouble is nigh, and there is none to help.

¹² I am circled by many bulls, beset by the mighty of Bashan,

¹³ who face me with gaping jaws, like ravening roaring lions.

¹⁴ Poured out am I like water, and all my bones are loosened. My heart is become like wax, melted within me.

¹⁵ My palate is dry as a sherd, my tongue sticks to my jaws; in the dust of death you lay me.

¹⁶ For dogs are round about me, a band of knaves encircles me, gnawing my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I can count my bones, every one. As for them, they feast their eyes on me.

⁶ But I am a worm, not a person; insulted by others, despised by the people.

⁷ All who see me mock me, with mouths wide open and wagging heads:

⁸ “He relies on the Lord; let him save him. Let him rescue the one he holds dear!”

⁹ But you drew me from the womb, laid me safely on my mother's breasts.

¹⁰ On your care was I cast from my very birth, you are my God from my mother's womb.

¹¹ Be not far from me, for trouble is nigh, and there is none to help.

¹² I am circled by many bulls, beset by the mighty of Bashan,

¹³ who face me with gaping jaws, like ravening roaring lions.

¹⁴ Poured out am I like water, and all my bones are loosened. My heart is become like wax, melted within me.

¹⁵ My palate is dry as a sherd, my tongue sticks to my jaws; in the dust of death you lay me.

¹⁶ For dogs are round about me, a band of knaves encircles me, gnawing my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I can count my bones, every one. As for them, they feast their eyes on me.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.

⁸ “He trusts in Adonai ; so let him set him free! Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”

⁹ But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother’s breasts.

¹⁰ I was thrown on you from my mother’s womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.

¹¹ Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help.

¹² Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

⁷ All those who see me taunt me; they mock me; they shake their heads at me.

⁸ They say, “He trusts in Yahweh; let Yahweh rescue him. Let him rescue him, for he delights in him.”

⁹ For you brought me from the womb; you made me trust you when I was on my mother's breasts.

¹⁰ I have been thrown on you from the womb; you are my God since I was in my mother's womb!

¹¹ Do not be far away from me, for trouble is near; there is no one to help.

¹² Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan surround me.

¹³ They open their mouths wide against me like a roaring lion ripping its victim.

¹⁴ I am being poured out like water, and all my bones are dislocated. My heart is like wax; it melts away within my inner parts.

¹⁵ My strength has dried up like a piece of pottery; my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have laid me in the dust of death.

¹⁶ For dogs have surrounded me; a company of evildoers has encircled me; they have pierced my hands and my feet.

⁹ But thou art he that brought me forth into life: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

¹⁰ I was cast upon thee from my birth: thou art my God from the time I was born.

¹¹ Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

¹² Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³ They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I may number all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.

⁷ All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,

⁹ For thou art He bringing me forth from the womb, Causing me to trust, On the breasts of my mother.

¹⁰ On Thee I have been cast from the womb, From the belly of my mother Thou art my God.

¹⁴ As waters I have been poured out, And separated themselves have all my bones, My heart hath been like wax, It is melted in the midst of my bowels.

¹⁵ Dried up as an earthen vessel is my power, And my tongue is cleaving to my jaws.

¹⁶ And to the dust of death thou appointest me, For surrounded me have dogs, A company of evil doers have compassed me, Piercing my hands and my feet.
